Nal Hutta (Glorious Jewel in Huttese) was the capital of Hutt Space and was located in the Y'Toub system. It was formerly known as Evocar and was the original home world of the Evocii, who were ousted by the Hutts in 15,000 BBY, who migrated from their original home world of Varl along with their servants the t'landa Til. It was sometimes referred to simply as Hutta at around 4000-3000 BBY. The planet was controlled by the ancient ruling Hutt families, who also ruled its moon Nar Shaddaa from Nal Hutta. was a very large planet, however it lacked natural heavy metals meaning its density was less than that of most worlds. The planet was originally a lush jungle world, though the Hutts eventually transformed it into a polluted and barren wasteland.

Once it became known as Nal Hutta, much of the Planets surface became covered by flat, marshy bogs, stagnant, muddy puddles and patches of sickly marsh grass inhabited by insects and spiders. The atmosphere was also polluted by strip-mining operations and heavy industrialization, and a greasy rain drizzled down on the surface, although not to the extent of Dagobah. Raw materials were constantly strip-mined from the planet's surface and shipped to Nar Shaddaa for processing and export.
The capital city, Bilbousa and the Guarja Shipyards were located on the planet.

The Huttese translation of Nal Hutta into Glorious Jewel stemmed from the nearby massive, radioactive gas cloud, which contained the planet Ganath.

The planet was ruled by the oldest Hutt families, known as the Clans of the Ancients, who watched over the activities of both Nal Hutta and Nar Shaddaa from their homes.

Ootman Baatu

Run by the kadiiir clan of hutts and Headed by the notorious Drekka, Ootman is the primary facility for mining operations outside of Nal Hutta, primarily ore from the planet Balmora. Stationed just off of nal Hutta's capital city, Drekka's Bunko (palace) is nestled in one of the more humid swamps surrounded by a small villa and space port which enables the Ootman to selectively import its materials. A word of caution, Ootman Baatu is home to many smugglers docking from Nar Shadda and remains a hive for black market operations, especially those run by Drekka and his under the table weapons production.

Quote:

Dex Fashiir

Born on Nal Hutta and sold to Drekka at a young age, Dex was raised by the hutt as a father would raise a son. In turn, as Dex grew to be educated in the fine art of mechanics and munitions design he became Drekka's right hand, in charge of many of the hutts corporate escapades. As Drekka has no children of his own, the Ootman production rests on the boy's skills as a blossoming entrepreneur.

Drekka came in on his hoversled. He was small for a hutt, so ordinarily he didn't have to use the sled and could move around on his own, but today he felt tired, and bloated and somewhat ill at ease.

So he entered the main audience chamber of Bunko Ootman, his sled whining soflty. He approached a window and gazed out over Ootman Baatu, its smoggy skies and below, Baatu spaceport crowded with those coming and going. Ships tread back and forth across the plain, hailing from the smuggler's moon and the rest of Y'Toub. He'd just had a conference with the human Atrell off of Ord Mantel concerning the production of several X2-Sensor Nodes, Micro Thrust grade. Drekka disliked the man and more importantly prefferred fire arms to data transmitters, but credits were credits and the man was willing to pay top dollar, no questions asked.

Drekka was grumpy because it was so hot. The day was humid, and even with air generators, his girth made the climate difficult in the warmer seasons.

"Mi Yarga, Opi. Im thirsty." the grunted at Opi, the female Weequay he kept as his aids. He preffered them over twi'lek, though he kept them for entertainment, and found the term "Slave" antiquated. he treated those under his employ well, and was proud of the fact. Opi mopped his brow carefully and left to fetch Gocola for him. He preffered the rich wine of his homeworld to the stark tastes of Corelian ale. To those close to him, Drekka was a fine specimin of a Hutt. Contrary to his species, he was compassionate, or felt he was. He was a fair leader, never one to abuse the power he held so dear. Though he loved his weapons, he'd never chanced to use them himself, making others do his dirty work for him. His cousins, notorious for their greed and crime affiliations, he believed to be quite petty. Certainly, he was a criminal, not doubting, but he knew how to use this status so that people were familiar and unopposed to him. Drekka was not unknown to lose his temper, undoubted to have been the proliferate some convenient deaths. But he was a fine business profiteer, a capitalist plain and simple.

Soft steps behind him made him turn the chair. The boy, Dex trod in.

H'chu apenkee, Bukee Greetings, boy. What have you been up too?
Drekka met eyes with Dex. The boy approached him, arms up to the elbows in grease and he'd stuck a multi-tool in his back pocket. At 18, Dex was well on his way to becoming a skilled engineer. Dex was slender with sinewy muscles and bright crimson artificially dyed hair. Though well built and slim for a human, the boy he was done growing. Drekka felt a ripple of emotion course through him. The boy was less a boy, and a man now by human standards, But still a fledgling in Hutt years. He had much to learn.

"um baw wah du poolyee yama." Said Dex, grinning. "those pig for brains Gamorians cant keep their transfer speeders in shape, i had to tune them up to make sure the cargo gets here in time for the next shipment. I don't understand why you don't use more reliable clerks to do your business for you, Drekka."

The Hutt smiled. "Ah, my boy. You underestimate their use. The Gamoreans, as "pig headed" as you say, are far more reliable than any other. They cannot be bribed nor can they deny their instincts to return the merchandise to their master. They are the best."

Dex wiped a grimy arm against his red-haired forehead, making a black streak. "Well, they should take better care of the equipment."

"And when you are in charge," Drekka said, patting the boy on the shoulder, "you can make such decisions."

Dex leaned against Drekka's soft hide, comforted by the presence of his guardian. When he had been very young, Drekka had held him and carried him this way, against warm folds of his chest or the cradle of his tail. Lost in thought, the two gazed out the window as ships and business rained down upon Ootman Baatu.

The afternoon had grown stale. Dex took to the Strak cafe in Baatu rather then working on Drekka's transports. There was more to life then being stuck in Drekka's bunco, especially in this weather.

"Yatooni Boska" Dex said to the bartender, and a dark green flute was put before him brimming with liquor. Drekka didn't like him to drink, so he settled for something much tamer then hard alchohal. He pressed his fingers to the condensation on the glass.

Dex enjoyed his life. when it came down to it, his real parents had sold him for a minimal amount of credits for whatever they needed at the time, and Dex had gotten the better end of the bargain. Drekka was, to Dex, a caring guardian, the only father the boy had ever known. When he was young, the hutt had nurtured him, had raised him and tended him with the help of the palace nurses. in all regard, Dex was a prince. Yes, he loved Drekka. so why now was he restless?

Nal Hutta was a hard place to live, at least for most people. though he spent a majority of his time out-doors, Dex was lucky to have rooms full of clean air, soft beds and plenty to eat. But the planet hard on him, as it was for most humans. And at his age, he could only dream of going off world.

He'd talked to Drekka about running a transport to Balmorra for cargo, and Drekka had outright refused him. In hutt years, Dex was still a baby, and Drekka couldn't understand that as a human, Dex wasn't. "When you are older," the Hutt had growled. "then you can go." it was these moments that reminded Dex that he was bought and paid for, just as the other members of Drekka's household.

"When you are in charge, then you can make those descisions." But he would never be in charge, huh muurak. He used the hutt term for "father" in a loose manner, but felt its implications. The truth was, Dex would never out-live Drekka, and even if he did he didn't want Ootman coorporation or the underground workings that came along with it. He didn't know why Drekka insisted on preparing him for an inheritance that would never be his and didn't rightfully belong to him. The Kadiir cousins, Darshau clan, had huttlets that would be of age by the time Drekka passed away, so why him?

He knew the answer. Competition. The Darshau, led by M'ssik, Drekka's blood cousin was his greatest rival in trade. Though he lived half-way across the planet M'ssik the Hutt was forever boasting of his stock in comparison to Drekka. When the cousins had visited, Dex had been six, and the huttlets played cruel tricks on him, locking him in the menagerie cages and making him eat Keebadas which are completely undigestible to humans and made him sick for a week. During that same visit, He'd overheard M'ssik and his mate refer to him as "slave" and offering to take him off Drekka's hands for a nominal fee. Dex had thrown a childish fit, crying into the wee hours of the nite and begging Drekka not to sell him to the Darshau. Drekka had stayed with him that nite, comforting him until the boy Dex fell asleep, letting him know that he would not be sold as Dex was his child and no one elses. that was the first time Dex had called the Hutt Muurak.

Which left Dex here, in the cafe, wondering whether or not he should stay on Nal Hutta and wanting to grow past the planets humid smog. Drekka had gotten a holo from the Darshau yesterday, another offer to buy Drekka off and take control of Ootman. The offer included a place of honor on Coroscant and a bid into the Bacta cartelon Thyferra. Drekka had declined, and was sour the rest of the day, snapping at anyone who came near. Dex had given him a wide berth. If M'ssik didn't mind his own business, Drekka would come down on him with his full wrath, which would cause an inter-clan dispute that Dex didn't want to be a part of in any way. The more he thought about it, the more he wanted to distance himself from Nal Hutta and Ootman Baatu, at least for a little while.

"Whats eatin' you kid?" the bartender asked gruffly.

Dex knocked back his drink, swilling it around and letting it burn before answering. "Family politics."

Drekka took the data pad up that Opi handed to him. Actin as major domo, she'd recieved the transmission from Vera Nico affirming the demise of Jaaku. The human told, in detail, how the foul gastropod had met his end. Drekka shivered in pleasure, allowing his folds of flesh to quiver in response to his emotion.

"Bargon u noa-a-uyat. She will be rewarded for this. Make sure she gets out of the system in tact." He waved a hand to send Opi away, but she gave a squeek and tapped her forefinger to the screen. The image shifted to a vid sent to him by M'ssik. He waved again, dismissing Opi, who cow-towed from the room.

He pressed play.

"Coona tee-tocky malia, Drekka? what has taken so long for you to get back to me?" M'ssik's voice was highly-pitched for a Hutt. It irritated Drekka, grated on him. The vid continued. "I have been informed you think poorly of the bargain the Darshau has offered. Unwise, to say no, cousin."

Drekka sniffed in distain but let the vid continue.

"But I am reasonable, yes? It seems I'll have to raise the stakes. I will provide you with the estate, and the firm on Nar Shadda along with the sum i promised, in exchange for Ootman corporation. But let me assure you cousin, compliance is non-negotiable. The Kadiiir cannot hold Ootman Baatu for much longer with the ideals you are pushing, Drekka. You know this, and that boy-slave you keep as a pet will ruin you. If you do not comply, I will find other means of negotiations, less tame means..."

As if to signify his defience, M'ssik cut the vid off.

"Cha skrunee da pat, Je killya um pasa doe beeska wumpa" Drekka muttered. "We'll see about that, Sleemo. Kill me and ten more will rise in my place..."

They landed, thrusters disengaging as the ship came to rest. Tseneca released the gangplank and the humid, sulfur polluted air filled the forward compartment.
Badim’s eyes quickly watered at the putrid smell and remarked, “And I thought Shaddaa smelled funny…”
Clare flung her shoulder and collided with Badim’s shoulder, “Quiet, Badim. If the Hutts here are anything like the Hutts on Tatooine I ran up with… An insult to their Glorious Jewel is a death sentence.”
Badim nodded and thought, Noted. Tseneca, Lucas, Firi, Jonas and Allison stepped off the ramp and moved towards a cantina, the Strak Café. He’d heard about it several times, hearing reviews, both good and bad, about their hygiene. The good reviews were from other Hutts, the bad ones were from everyone else. Badim, Clare and Diann quickly followed the group, wondering what this new relationship between the crew of The Killer’s Fate and that of the Blight Leaper. Wondering if it would thrive or fall apart, and if so, when?

The air was disgusting, foul and muggy, yet it was home. He had been back and forth between Nal Hutta and Nar Shadda since he was a kid. His eyes stung with tears, concealing them away from the rest of the group as they exited. Alisson, whom had never failed to notice anything, looked away as he glanced at her. At least she knew not to call him out on it. It had been a year on Iego, and even the stench of Nal Hutta brought back pleasant memories of serving on Boots ship.

Lucas was organizing and programming a group of communication devices, wired so only those who carried them, would be able to receive. He handed one to each of them explaining, "These cover vast distances, and should have no problem on Nal Hutta, if we run into any trouble." Jonas pocketed his, not caring about the gizmo or lesson. In a way, he wanted to be there finding Vera Nico, but while lost to Iego, he had planned to visit his parents one last time. It was something he needed to do.

"Lucas, I'm not going. At least, there is something I need to do first." Everyone stopped, looking at him curiously. "I need to see my parents. I don't know, but I just need to do it." Kuat had brought those memories closer to heart. Seeing the Pallanen-Davad family, and how picture perfect it had been, was a needle through his own troubled past.

"Okay," Lucas seemed a little unnerved, "Keep the comm device, we can pick you up after we get the information?"

"Sure," Jonas said, a little more distant.

Alisson stepped forward, her fingers interlocking between his own, "I will go with you." Lucas looked at their hands, a peaceful smile coming about his face.

"I will miss you," Firi stated, the first time she had spoken for a while.

"Take care," Tseneca added, before Jonas shook the hands of the new shipmates. Alisson was quiet in their walk to the public shuttle station, maybe she didn't really want to be with him, just away from everyone else. She had mentioned on Kuat that she had wanted to be alone, completely independent and solo. "Thank you," Jonas whispered, stopping at the spaceport hub ticket terminal...

Badim nodded and shook the young man's hand, knowing he, just four days ago, had done the same thing for his parents. He only wished that his parents were still there, as his were just recently killed by the notorious crime lord, Urnath Dirod. Clare shook his hand and gave an unexpected hug to the man, surprisingly, the entire crew of the Killer's Fate had lost a family member at one point or another. They all felt for him.

They watched him walk with Alisson to the ticket hub and then they followed the rest of the crew to the wherever they went, as per the deal between Badim and Tseneca.

Kyp threw the forward thrusters into a neutral state as the A-Wing began to succumb to the planets gravity before Kyp pushed the vertical stabilizers into full blast to keep the Vigilance from crashing. Below a small hangar sat open adjacent to the Blight Leaper's. Kyp eased his ship into the dusty space watching dirt and soot kick up where a much larger ship had sat before the Vigilance. "Getting muddy already?" Kyp said setting the authorization codes and security protocols to their highest settings. With ease and precision Kyp slid out and off the A-Wing. Kyp's boots hit dirt and he quickly proceeded over the Blight Leaper where crew was gathering.

Three additional people stood in the semi-circle outside the Blight Leaper. One man and two women. Kyp stepped into the group next to Lucas and Tseneca. A formal greeting would have to wait. One the other side of the group Jonas spoke about meeting with his parents and being home.

Kyp felt a pang of guilt recalling how he had called Jonas's home a "despicable rock". Before Kyp could apologize and share his own experience he was off with the robot. Everyone had lost a parent or two, some were worse off than others. He was lucky his were still around. Kyp threw his hood up and closed his black cloak hiding his identity. Nal Hutta was about as close as you could get to pure scum as possible. The only better way was to lay on the ground.

"Han wasn't kidding when he talked about this place," Kyp said in a somber tone looking up into the polluted sky trying to imagine the sun on the other side.

Tseneca looked around, making sure everyone was where they needed to be. She watch Jonas and Allison leave, worried. She hoped the two would be okay. She'd snuck allison a comlink that matched her frequency, just in case.

Kyp came and stood beside them. He'd opted to walk with them the the Cafe, but refused to set foot in Drekka's Bunko. They would be a group of six, Badim and his women, Firi, Lucas and Tseneca. The set off toward the cafe.

Baatu Spaceport was like any other one she'd ever been too. It reminded her of the Mos communities on Tattooine, all the other oasis's on hostile worlds. She scowled at these places. for all the ones she'd been too, Baatu was trashy, and unkempt. Strak Cafe was no better.

they walked into the cafe, it was a hovel, dark and dingy like Oxanna had been. Tseneca could cut through the smoke with a knife.

Lucas was holding Firi's hand, she looked calm, but intimidated. Tseneca caught him eying the Sabaac tables. She nudged him. "Do I have to address your gambling problem?"

Lucas grinned. "What gambling problem?"

The group took a seat in an empty nook. Tseneca looked casually about the room.

Next to her, Badim leaned over "Are we looking for something in particular?"

"An in." She said. "No one just walks up to Drekka, we need some kind of ambassador". Lucas was ordering drinks. Badim was the only one who could help her here. "C'mon."

The two of them sidled up to the bar.

"New here?" The bartender, a large man in a dirty apron set complimentary gardulla before them. Badin drank it like sweet ale. Tseneca had no taste for Hutt alchohal.

"Mi bosco de. Just off ship. We need an audience with Drekka. Would you know anything about that?"

The bartender raised his eyebrows. "straightforward, you are. Drekka don't see no-one. you a beggar, borrower, your own agenda, Drekka dont see no-one."

This wasn't gonna be easy.

My idea is, we stay here long enough, Dex will overhear our conversation with the bartender and step up. Dex is a PNPC so do what you want with him, but i ask you to read my pre-posts with his so you get a feel for his character. thx!

Badim handled the gandulla for just a mere moment, before forcibly drinking it. He masked a disgusted, ’Going-to-barf’ look with a joyful one, which Tseneca took as truth, snuffing away the alcohol and getting to the point of the visit. The bartender soon replied, “Drekka don't see no-one. You a beggar, borrower, your own agenda, Drekka dont see no-one.”
Badim shook his head, he knew this was going to be hard, as Tseneca‘s face showed as well.
“You don’t understand,” Badim spoke up, “We need to see Drekka.”
The bartender continued his emotionless gaze at the two and replied, “No-one, and for the last time, NO-ONE sees Drekka-”
“I’ll take them.” A young man said as he saw the commotion.
“And can I ask how you would accomplish that?” Badim said towards him.

Dex had overheard the bartender arguing with a woman down the counter. The bartender was being more than faithful to Drekka's wishes that nobody approach the palace who didn't have a business deal to settle. But he'd seen the group come in. They were beyond strange, beyond the amount of shady that entered the cafe. They were, curious.

It was the pale one that caught his eye. She wore a long dark cloak, much like the other men in the group he presumed were Jedi from the lightsabers hanging from their hips. But he'd seen her peak out from under his hood. seen her eyes, long lashed. her lips, full. He had never seen anyone more beautiful. She was an absolute angel.

He listened as the dark haired woman tried to grasp for information about how she could get in Drekka's bunko. The bartender wasn't giving in. Finally, Dex set his drink down and sidled over.

"Soong peetch alay. I'll take them." He said to the bartender.

The woman looked at him, the man she was with scoffed.

"Lets talk, shall we?"

The woman paused, then nodded hesitantly. They walked over to where the small party was seated. two women, two Jedi, and the beautiful girl he'd layed eyes on earlier.

He introduced himself. "I'm Dex, I work in Drekka's consulate."

He lied easily, they didn't need to know how he was with Drekka, he needed to know what their business was.

He saw the jedi exchange glances. they were testing him. the younger one nodded to tseneca, apparently he'd passed some kind of test. unlike Drekka, Dex had to tread lightly in this territory; the Hutt may be impervious to mind trickery, but his boy was not.

"My name is Tseneca". She introduced each of the group by first name only, ending with the older Jedi, who interrupted her and introduced himself. Dex assumed he gave a fake name. Tseneca continued. "We've gotten wind that Drekka may know someone who we are looking for."

"Who might that be?" Dex asked.

the younger Jedi, Lucas, spoke up. "Vera Nico. we are looking for Vera Nico."

Dex didn't know a Vera Nico, hadn't heard Drekka mention her at all.

The beautiful girl seemed to see his uncertainty. "Please," she said, eyes meeting his in a heart stopping moment. "We need to find her. She's a very dangerous killer."

He considered her, feeling weak. How could he feel like this with someone he'd barely spoken too? Drekka wouldn't approve. Wouldn't like him bringing them to the Bunko. But looking at this girl, what choice did he have.

"I can take you there." He said looking at Tseneca.

After some negotiations with this new piece in the puzzle, the group followed Dex towards Drekka’s Bunko, a palace in the eyes of other Hutts. A slime pit for everyone else. Badim, Clare and Diann quietly discussed on if they should trust Dex, if he was genuine or, as with almost everyone who works with Hutts, distrustful. Badim kept his hand on the hilt of his Vibrosword for security. If Dex had been with Hutts for as long as he think he’s been, then this could all be a trap. Kyp Durron opted to stay behind, saying he didn't want to risk involving the dangerous relationship the Hutts and Jedi have together. Though, Lucas preferred to stay with the group as protection.
“It’s a good thing we still have Lucas with us,” he whispered to Clare and Tseneca, “If this goes sour, I sure want that lightsaber of his lit in a firefight.”
“Let’s hope this is an easy Hutt to go on.” Clare remarked quietly.
Tseneca snuffed that joyful thought quickly and replied, “And even then it’s going to be hard.”
Firi looked scared almost, making Badim worrisome about her, she could cause too much attention. A Hutt, Drekka, might want her as a prize, being part Diathim, then mount the rest of the Leaper crew’s heads on sticks. He quietly whispered his concerns to Tseneca, she turned to Firi and thought for a moment, then replied, “She’ll be fine as long as she keeps herself hidden,” she said, directing the last part towards Firi, subconsciously telling her to cover up more, to which Firi quickly donned the hood of her cloak farther down, “Don’t worry, everything is going to turn out alright. Whether Drekka cooperates or not.” Tseneca finished as they approached Drekka’s Bunko. Gamorean Guards stood posted at the entrance, drawing weapons as they saw the group approach, then slowly lowered them as they saw Dex was in the lead.
This might be easier than I thought, Badim thought, still keeping his hand on his sword.

The group walked through the damp halls of Drekka’s Bunko, Clare had the feeling to not touch the walls, being so damp and greasy, she almost mistook them as live creatures. The lighting above them shifted, making it hit the walls differently with each step, making it look like it was moving. She shook her head of those thoughts and kept her eyes in front of her. They were nearing the audience chamber, being here on Nal Hutta, being so close to another Crime Lord such as Drekka, made her think back to Nar Shaddaa, what she was doing there before she was sent to Tatooine. Candrog came back to her thoughts. She knew her mission, she put aside her emotions and waited until she was alone, then she would strike. Her eyes dilated as the lights of the audience chamber illuminated her face, and the sight of the mass of fat they were to meet, Drekka.

With all of the crew inside Kyp had found a dark corner to watch the entrance from. Hutts were one of the few species Kyp was not comfortable around. Kyp knew the story of Luke's mission to Jabba's palace on Tatooine practically by heart. Pairing that with the way Han spoke of them was enough for Kyp to keep his distance. Jonas and Allison were still attending to his family business as he had not heard a peep from the communicator passed to him earlier. That left Kyp alone, on a unfamiliar and potentially hostile planet. It wasn't like he had not been here before. Been in a situation all alone. If poodoo hit the fan Kyp was going to be the only one who could help in time.

Kyp hung his head low, drowning out all the sounds of the city around him. Alone, with his eyes close, Kyp fell into a meditative sleep, hand still firmly clasped to his lightsaber. All around him stripped away till all that was left was the Force. Energy pulsed through himself and those around him. Each midichlorian binding itself to another, creating a fabric which he could see and manipulate. The guards outside, the group inside, and even the Hutt himself. For a few minutes Kyp did his best to feel the group and their emotions, trying to detect changes in their mood. Hopefully after all these years he had gotten this right. It'd be a shame to ruin all the fun if the party hadn't even started yet.

The walls of a Hutt's domain were never friendly, and he could sense the eerie essence of hundreds years that came to pass. Drekka the Hutt was an individual, the background information, made him seem logical and cunning. He was known for several munition inventions that began rather profitable, making him one of the few of his species, at least in recent decades, to venture outside their monopoly on the black market. Didn't mean he wouldn't have a huge stake in that as well. Lucas tread close to Tseneca, letting the Force guide and influence him as he did.

It was a shame Master Durron had not joined them on the inside, a point Lucas wished to inquire on a more personal level later. Now, however, it seemed like it was up to Lucas, and Tseneca, to listen to the guiding influence the Force extended to them. His footsteps quickened, following the man known as Drex. He was an interesting kid, and it didn't take a Jedi to sense his attraction to Firi. But it was genuine, it was kind.

Opening his mind, like Anakin Solo had taught him, he allowed a chance at a collective presence of Master Durron and himself, both more open to sense and watch through his own experience inside the palace. Lucas wasn't sure if the bond was strong enough, to be as useful as it was with Anakin, but it would be more than enough to signal danger.

Firi may have proved a prize in the eyes of a Hutt crimelord, the fact had not crossed his mind, until Badim had whispered the concept to Tseneca. She was probably the only of her kind extended beyond Iego. Lucas, now freshly connected with the Force, sent a peaceful touch to her body, embracing her, comforting her. Her intuitive nature glanced at him, her hidden orbs signaling a small thanks.

The large Huttmass protruded across the room, decorations and spectacles displayed about as magnificent trophies collected over his lifespan. Objects from the Galactic Civil War, the Clone Wars, even a piece of Naboo that had resonated with an echo of tragedy. It was wonderful, it was something he had never seen a Hutt take personal pride in. Weapons of all calibers, from all different time periods, were displayed artistically across the chamber. Some were designed by the Hutt himself, and others, served as a model to grasp and modify.

"Boh-ho-ho-ho," the deep rumbling of the Hutt let out, his mass smaller than images of deceased Jabba or Jakku. The massive creature almost impossible to read, the genetic gifts associated with the species, prevented Lucas from pressing inside the creature's thoughts and emotions.

Drex mumbled something to Drekka, the conversation longer than expected, before Drex nodded in their general direction. The room had been filled with the usual acquaintances. Most were loyal followers and bodyguards, others casual audience members, waiting and seeking work or to please the Hutt. In an effort to ease them into conversation, Lucas took a page from a Jedi diplomat course-outline, choosing to open with respect, "Great and ever intelligent Drekka the Hutt, we are humbled by the audience you have granted us. May I present the Captain of the Blight Leaper, Tseneca and shipmates, Badim, Clare, Firi, and myself, Lucas." He left the surnames out, it would have to do, "We come before you, in hopes of business. Tseneca. Badim, if you will..."

Lucas parted from the lead position, nudging Tseneca and Badim to take it from here, before acting as a visual-protective barrier for Firi.

Tseneca stepped forward. She was cautious, had to be. She felt lucas push her, through the force, commanding a three way link between him, her and Kyp. The extra support made her feel better.

"My lord." She said, summoning the strength she felt in her voice. "We've come looking for a woman by the name of Vera Nico. We have reason to believe you have seen her..."

"And what reason is that?" The Hutt's voice boomed toward her. "What makes you think I have anything to do with the woman you seek?"

This very statement made Tseneca suspicious. She glanced at Badim, who scowled.

"We have contacts." badim said slowly. "We know you've done business with her in the past."

"My business is none of yours" Drekka said. "Now your business, on the other hand..."

"Our business is only to find Nico." Tseneca said softly

"Wrong." Drekka hissed. "You think I don't know you." His eyes found hers. "You think I dont realize the daughter of a Lowry when I see one."

Tseneca was taken aback. The audience chamber and its court hissed and murmerd in appreciation of the newly revealed information. Tseneca could feel Lucas' confusion through the link, could feel herself turning red.

"I- don't know what your talking about." She said

The hutt smiled and rose straighter. "Nonsense girl, you think I don't know half a fortune of human meat when it stands before me. I knew your father well, he cheated me once, not to be forgotten or forgiven. I lost men to the foolery he commited."

"I'm not my father..." Tseneca didn't know what to say.

"No but your worth twice as much. And a Jedi, too." His eyes found Lucas. "And what have we here..."

One of Drekka's Gamorreans crept up behind Firi and yanked the cloak off her head before any of the crew could stop him. Surprised, her glow shone splendid in the audience chamber, causing gasps throughout. She struggled to put it back up, but Drekka's deep laugh bubbled in his throat.

"Oh, yes." he said. "You will do nicely..."

And suddenly, Tseneca, Badim and everyone else but Firi were seized by guards who had been hiding in the corners of the chamber. There was no way to fend them off.

"Please." Tseneca tried to appeal to Drekka "Please, Don't do this..."

"Nonsense," Drekka laughed. "I will do just as I please..."

And with that, The Crew of the Blight Leaper was taken down into the vast bowels, the dark undergrounds of Jabbas Bunco.

Firi stood as a spectacle. She'd watched the others be dragged off by the monsters hue guards, felt Lucas's comforting force link be severed, Felt utterly alone.

She faced Drekka, he watched her. The boy, Dex, was looking at her with concern on his face.

"Diathim." Drekkas voice rumbled to her core. She shivered, wishing to collapse. I must be brave. She thought. Like Aquar was brave.

"yes." She whispered. "I am."

"Of course you are." Drekka's voice was deep, and dripping with a false kindness. She was a prize to him, and he would treat her as nothing more. "I had long thought you angel's nothing more than a myth. But I see, now, that the myths are real. And most glorious."

He moved an arm and guards came up behind her, pushing her to him. She was pressed into his mass so he could smell her, look at her. They removed her cloak revealing her wings, which he touched, making her shiver in revulsion and shame.

"Please." She whispered. begging him to leave her alone.

"Ah, come now." Drekka sighed. "You are a prize and will be treated as such. You will have clothes. And a glass chamber..."

She would be a prisoner. That was clear. A glass box to hold her....

"You are mine now..." Drekka's pleasure was evident. "Mine to look at. Mine to listen to. Will you sing to me angel? Will you sing?"

She shivered again. Defiance rising in her throat.

"No." She hissed, courage swelling within her. "I will not. never."

Drekka stopped petting her, shoving her away. She would have fallen had the boy, Dex, not been there to brace her. Guards tore her away.

"Take her away, to the managerie. She will have her glass cage... and she will sing."

And, like the others before her, Firi was escorted from the room. feeling very much frightened, and very much alone....

Dex watched as Drekka held Firi against him. Discomfort plagued him as he stripped the angel of her cloak, revealing delicate wings and the soft, nymph-like form beneath.

Suddenly, he was sorry he'd brought them here. He'd done it so Drekka might find an interest, which he had. As he'd suspected, the party had been found valuable, and could be imprisoned, sold, ransomed or traded. He had done well. The angel though, that was another thing entirely. He hadn't meant for Drekka to hold her captive.

Drekka shoved the angel back and Dex was there to catch her. He felt the warmth of her skin, the sinews of her arms as she fell against him. His heart leapt.

The guards tore her away from him and dragged her off, to imprison her in one of the glass cages with all of Drekkas other pets. Dex watched her go. They were alone.

"Waki mallya kuna chu. You have done well, my boy." Drekka patted Dex on the shoulders. When Dex didn't respond, Drekka questioned him. "What's troubling you? The Jedi alone will fetch a large sum in the core..."

"Its not that." Dex said. "I suppose im just tired."

Drekka looked at him strangely. "Tired? Yes, well, rest then. Dopo mee gusha. You're a good boy."

Dex left the chamber to Drekka, who reveled in his good luck and prizes. Tonite, when the palace was asleep, Dex would go down to the menagerie. He would try and talk to the angel...

I'm gonna post as Drekka in a little bit, a siege by M'ssik is emminent, but i figure it will start in a few posts. I hope this works for everyone

Diann coughed as she hit the floor of the dungeon, the entire crew, save Firi, Jonas and Alisson, were captured by Drekka the Hutt and thrown in this cell. She looked at the faces of the crew, worrisome, fearful for Firi, all except Lucas, Badim and Tseneca. Their faces were calm and collective. They huddled together and plotted their escape and rescue of Firi. Clare was left by herself, staring at Badim for one reason or another. Her eyes fully dilated, deep in thought.
“Clare…?” she said softly, Clare’s eyes shifted and looked at her, she looked almost dazed by the ordeal, especially since she hoped this would have gone smoothly and with no trouble at all, “You okay?”
Clare shook her head then continued her stare at Badim.

Now Diann felt by herself, she thought back to Nar Shaddaa, to Badim. How he changed after they met each other. He didn’t even suspect that she was… No, not with Lucas here. He’d tell Badim who I am…

She looked away from Badim and stared at the open hallway, hoping for someone to come along and free them… Anyone? she quietly whispered into the hallway. Hoping.

I've got another secret with Diann  TO THE ASSESSMENT ROOM!

"Well this is a bunch of sith-shit," Lucas declared, waiting for the guard to disappear, before he made any kind of movement. Badim, Tseneca, Diann and himself gathered, running through scenarios and ways to escape. With Kyp Durron on the outside, Lucas hadn't been pressed to attempt to avoid capture, in fact, this could all work out in their favor, if they played their cards right.

"You want him to choke the guards?" Tseneca shook her head, "Look, even with everyone present, he can still kill Firi before we even get to her for even thinking about escaping. I wouldn't doubt if he has this whole room wired and under surveillance."

Lucas looked around, much more cautious than before. But she was right, they couldn't really hatch a plan, if they were being watched. "So, Princess, what's your idea?" Lucas had been a little sore after the revelation of her connection to Thyferra. Her sudden departure at the dinner party back on Kuat made much more sense. He folded his arms, waiting for some kind of explanation, for more things than one.

“OO-ff… Frak.” Badim exclaimed as he hit the ground, as did the rest of the crew. Lucas stood at the bars, cursing until the guards left. Diann and Clare took corners and just sat there, while Tseneca, Lucas and Badim gathered and discussed how to get out.

“Can’t you use the Force or something and blow the bars off?” Badim said, trying to come up with an idea. Lucas casually looked at the cell door and replied, “I could, but it wouldn’t do us good without weapons. As soon as I blow it, we’d be dead.”

Badim shook his head, all he could think of now, was how scared Firi must be right now. He’d barely met her, but she was so new to this galaxy, being raised on Iego, isolated. He felt protective of her. She looked so frail, scared out of her mind when she saw the crew being hauled off.
He thought back to the audience chamber, what Drekka said. He didn’t just speak to Tseneca or Lucas, he spoke to him.

“And you,” Drekka’s eyes fell on Badim, “You are a killer trying to redeem himself. But you keep finding yourself killing don’t you? You hide you face, hoping no one will recognize you, but you can‘t hid Dirod‘s smell. You are ripe with him. He will always be apart of you.”
Badim didn’t say a word, his face fell behind his hood. Almost doing exactly what Drekka said to him, he hides his face.

Badim suggested Lucas choke the guards, but Tseneca reminded them of the delicate situation they were in.

“So, Princess, what’s your idea?” Lucas said, folding his arms.
Princess? Badim thought to himself, he glanced at her for a split second before turning to Diann and Clare. Their faces looked hopeless.

Kyp's eyes flew wide open realizing the danger that both the group and himself were in. His sitting here hadn't gone unnoticed. Two Gamorrean guards were closing in on him, surely looking to capture him as well. I'm not so easy a prey. With the sun falling low on the horizon the buildings began to cast eerie shadows. Kyp stood and without warning bolted into a neighboring alley. It wasn't smart to cut down anything in the middle of the street. If he could lure them back then perhaps their screams would fall upon deaf ears. Kyp reached the end of a what almost looked like a corridor and stood, egging on the Gamorreans to follow. He even went so far as to toss a wayward cleaning droid at them. The harmless droid meet a swift demise as one of the two's vibro axe. "Come on you fat sacks of farm meat!" he said before bolting down another passage, getting further and further from the main road to the Hutts. At the end of the next passage Kyp jumped onto a neighboring building and quietly doubled back parallel to the Gamorreans. Once he was behind them he landed deftly behind though not without them noticing.

Both raised their axes and moved with a speed he had rarely seen from an animal their size. Kyp raised his hand and pushed the first clean back and off his feet into a wall. The next was heading at him too fast and Kyp reacted by dodging a vertical strike that stung the air where he had once stood. The next strike came for his head but with his knees already bending he easily avoided decapitation. As he fell downwards his blade sprung to life in his right hand, illuminating the walls with a faint blue. The Gamorrean didn't have enough time to react as the momentum from his swing still carried it through and into the side of a building. With a deft flick of the wrist Kyp sliced open it's stomach releasing an noxious cocktail of smells from it's innards. A scream bellowed from both it and it's companion as the other realized the other would soon be dead.

Perhaps blind rage kept the Gamorrean who'd been cut open on his feet. Kyp moved out from underneath the massive arms of the Gamorrean and walked towards the other but not before plunging his blade deep into and through the wounded pig. The tip of his sabre came out below the chin of the beast disabling any further screams for help and ending it's life. Kyp was beginning to realize that he was wasting time and proceeded to the next who blindly charged forward. In the small alley Kyp had no where to go but up. Kyp jumped back to the roof, avoiding the hundreds of pounds of raw meat coming his way. Kyp ran along the edge of the low buildings and sped up to drop down into the next alley and around a blind corner. Kyp turned off his blade and waited a few seconds. The Gamorrean's heavy breathing did little to mask it's position. Kyp felt the hairs on his arms and neck stand on end as he waited for the perfect moment to strike. At the last second Kyp switched on his blue lightsaber, turned the corner, and cut high on the Gamorrean's chest. The blade chopped through fat and flesh easily cutting through both it's arm and internal organs. The Gamorrean let out one final squeal and fell flat into the polluted soil.

Kyp moved a safe distance away and returned to the palace. This time he took up a position further back watching the front entrance to the palace. Digging his hand into his cloak he found the communicator given to him earlier. He knew Allison and Jonas had run into some unexpected trouble. "Allison. We've got a big problem back here at the Hutt's joint. Seems our friends have gone and got themselves locked up. I'd prefer to not storm a Hutt's palace alone. Cutting down those fat sacks of poodoo is tough work."

Princess

"do NOT start with me." She whirled around and gave Lucas a fire-eyed glare. "little Jedi with his fortune. Little Lucas with in his little palace." She wrapped her words in venom. She knew it wasn't Lucas she wasn't mad at, knew it was the situation she was in, but it didn't matter. She was going to spew out what she felt.

"You lied to me." He hissed.

"I lie to everyone. Don't think your special."

"But why? I could have helped?"

"Helped me what, Lucas?" Her anger was fading as quickly as it had come "Help me ressurrect my parents; my kid brother? Help me remember what it was like to belong to something? I don't need help, im not you."

Lucas looked away. Then his head raised "what happened?"

Tseneca's face grew dark. "When our planet was taken by Issard, They were taken into a storage area of the palace and slaughtered. I escaped with the help of Emmett Fink, one of the guards meant to keep watch over by family during the siege."

"Fink?" Lucas looked more confused.

"He's-" Tseneca didn't know what to say. "I intercepted a trasnmission from Nico to him when we were on Corellia. He's the one I've been looking for. We-- we loved each other. Thats why I took his name. I've been looking for him for nearly fifteen years."

She reached for the tags on her neck and removed them, handing them to lucas to see. Lucas stood still, letting it all sink in. Then he looked at her.

"I'm sorry." He whispered.
"Me too." Her eyes were sad

"Not that this is not heartwrenchingly touching, but could we please try to find a way out of here?" Badim shook them both out of there reverie.

The night was cool, it was late enough that Dex knew he could leave his room without waking anybody, without causing a stir.

He crept down into the menagerie rooms. It wasn't loud as one would think, in fact, most of the fauna were asleep. The achtnaks, fire-mantids, even the small krayt dragon Drekka kept in a pit lower then the other creatures were resting soundly. Dex kept his voice low, approaching the soft glow in the back of the room.

"Hello." He said. The angel was huddled in the corner of the large glass box that contained her. She looked up. she tapped her ear, signaling she couldn't hear anything.

Dex looked around the compartment, struggling to find some sort of opening. There, a speaker box at the back. He tapped it and it opened.

"I-I dont mean to startle you."

She looked at him solemnly. "Is this why you brought us?" She said

He looked at his hands. "No. Well, yes. but not altogether... I didn't mean for drekka to take you like he did. not like an animal"

She looked at him through her eyelashes. He shivered. "Ah, but what else would I be." her voice had an edge to it. "look at what i am..."

"Youre... beautiful." He sighed, relenting.

"Of course." She whispered back. "where would I be without that."

Dex pressed his hands to the glass. "No, i didn't mean.-- look, i'm sorry. I never meant for any of this to happen. None of it actually. please. forgive me that, if nothing else."

The Angel rose, as if sensing his scincerity, his honest sorrow that she was trapped here. She rested her long fingered, slender hand against his on the glass and looked him in the eyes. They were blue, shocking. "It wouldn't be the first time i've trusted a foe." She whispered.

"I promise." He said, pushing his hand harder against the glass. trying to feel her through the pane. "I'll get you out."
