What if we have three (Or more or less) trailers, propaganda for each faction? With New Republic, Imperial Remnant, True Empire etc. _________________ Private David O'Conner of the New Republic Navy

Just to use a more darker version of the theme from somewhere in the films. Something that will fit the overall tone of the game. |

That one. There are some more mellow and kinda dark ones too.... though it may not fit the feel. Again, it depends on what we do in the beginning or what not. _________________

That's not bad, but it is really slow and quiet, though dark. That means it may make it difficult, in my mind, to have a faster paced, action oriented beginning as was suggested. (I believe that was suggested,a t least)
What I might recommend is to start of with one of these songs, let's just take May the Force Be With You for example, and introduce the characters through it. Then, we can move into battles and what not with the every-awe inspiring Imperial March. Would lend a nice feel to it, methinks, and there are several versions to choose from. _________________

Nice. But should we use the original Imperial March, or the TFU Imperial March? _________________ "There is no emotion, there is peace.

That's up in the air. Not only is there the original Imperial march, but there are also, like, five other slight variations in the movies.
I think it's a moot point currently. Either way, the Imperial March would not only lend nicely to the feel, but also the story. From what I gathered from the story thus far, it has a lot to do with the "Empire" returning, correct? At least I THINK I read that somewhere. (It all blend together) _________________

I was looking for decent music to recommend for this project and I happened to find a fifteen minute disco remix of the Star Wars main theme in my collection. I seriously have no life.
Anyway, music for the project:
I highly recommend “Ben’s Death and TIE Fighter Attack” for any “sad but action-packed” type promotions. Also, while I know Han is no fan of PT music, “The Immolation Scene” music from ROTS is quite powerful and resounding for a dark and tragic piece. _________________ "Rule number one. I just came up with something for the end of the main trailer (Capturing everything in Unity), and in the Faction Propoganda (Faction based, Jedi, NR, TE etc).
We put a tagline at the end of the trailer(s):
After we put up a link to the site and say, "Join now!" We add after that with a fade, "What character do you have inside?"
What do you guys think?
And I generally like any music that has a soft opening, building up to it, get's dark, then has some dark action to it. So anything will work with me.
But those would be ideal I believe, soft/sad beginninig, get's dark, then has some dark action.
Similar to the Revenge of the Sith teaser trailer music. _________________ Senior Captain, Jonathan Ferris of the New Republic

With school in... Think we need the promo now?
EDIT: I just thought of something.
I was looking at the memberslist in SWVIII, have you guys thought about sending an e-mail/PM to every one of them to rejoin? Not an impossible task, just add every ones name into the CC list. Weither they're here right now or have multiple characters, they all have the same e-mail.
I think the first thing we should do, is contact all the original members before continuing with propoganda.
(My guess is that you guys haven't done that yet, as I never got an e-mail saying 'SWVIII Closed down, but SW:Unity is up!')
Make it an Admin letter or something. But we should get as much of the old audience back before getting new ones.
My two/cents. _________________ "No One Deserves To Die, Except For Those Who Do." |

Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm dedicated to this. Plus, all characters get a small cameo in it.

Sorry for the double post, I just had an excellent idea for this.
We make it about us! *Booo!*
No, no wait! Listen to this:
We make it like a documentary of sorts, each of us take a part of the game we like, record it with a microphone and narrate the video. Music and such will stay, but we each add our own flare to it. Not that everyone gets their own video or anything (Or that could be a more personal experience to it), but it will add a sense that real people are behind this whole thing.
I'm game, anyone else?
