Can I have a plotline where this char blows up zimps? And like, survives somehow? I don't think it would make much sense to have him do anything else, if planets are being captured one by one by an enemy faction, pirate and crime lords start looking really unimportant.
And as for my other would-be character(s)... why is there an application process at all? Can't you just say, "we know this guy won't spam the IC forums, and the character isn't posing as god, so OK"? Why is the whole CMAC required to agree on it? And what's the worst that could happen if I get a binary character?  |

And no, in an SW d20 we did a while back, Riene was dumped on Tatooine after refusing some... advances from the local Moff back at her cushy, Core Worlds assignment. She also had a penchant for pistol-whipping Jawas on sight and with little provocation.

Because things aren't that simple. There is a lot more to character creation than just "oh, this guy isn't God...APPROVED LoL1LOL!" We need to make sure everything clicks with the backstory and there isn't any potential for blatant godmoding. For that alone, applications(or character sheets) are a requirement and trust me, they're not as easy to review as you may think.
In terms of CMAC, that's how we operate. We are a team and everyone within the team has a voice. We don't go behind each others' back and approve something until everyone has a chance to review it and chime in with their thoughts. The entirety of CMAC doesn't need to agree on something, just the majority.
The reason I'm hesitant about the 'binary character' idea is because it's exactly how I spelled it out in the other thread - you're essentially describing a PNPC and I don't see the need to make another rule for something we already have a system for and works well.
Now please, instead of continuing to spread this around the boards, if you have anymore issue with it, keep it in the other thread or speak to one of us privately through PM or over MSN. Thanks! |

Besides, the "Kind of like Morgan ZIM, only with two separate people" kind of ignores the main idea behind the two halves of the character. The whole point is that they're stuck together in one body. They're not so much two separate characters as one character with multiple personality disorder. Except they're both real personalities. And one of those personalities has droid powers.
And even then, ZIM is almost a PNPC himself, since the perspective of any posts by the character are from Morgans perspective. We get insight into Morgans mind that nobody, not even ZIM, is aware of. But unless ZIM pops in with a one liner, something he thinks he needs to say, or narrates and/or explains what he's up to, you have no idea what he's up to.
Hoping that, if you looked at what I was doing and got the idea it was something it isn't and was trying to pull it off yourself, I've managed to clear things up for you.

It's times like now that I have the most fun with having a character who's memory only goes back so many years.
How else could I have such a good excuse to create a reason to mix up who Daala and Daara are?

She, actually. And she's going to quit that job early on, in favor of wandering across the galaxy without really doing much... I don't want to give away most of the story, but you should get the gist of it from the application and my first post when I post it.
And speaking of travelling across the galaxy, does anyone know the present security situation on Kuat? I need to arrange a ride. >_> |
