Name: Logan Edmond Grant
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Homeworld: Muunilinst
Desired Faction: Imperial Remnant
Desired Occupation: Admiral, Imperial Navy
Force Sensitivity: None
Anything you'd like to tell us about the character: Although he was originally an officer in the Imperial Survey Corps, with the recent emergency (including the death and possible leaving of the Remnant for Zand's True Empire by several high-ranking Imperial officials), he has been transferred to the Imperial Navy and given command of the SSD Intimidator, an Executor-class Super Star Destroyer, and its fleet of one Imperial-class Star Destroyer (Redoubtable) and two Victory-class Star Destroyers (Harridan and Valorous). This group of ships is known as the Black Fleet/Black Sword Command and was recaptured several years ago from Yevethan hands.
Summarized Biography:
Logan Edmond Grant was born on the planet of Muunilinst to Edmond and Delia Grant. His father was a freighter captain and thus young Logan spent much of his youth in space as it were. This is not to say his education was not provided for, for his father purchased a couple of protocol droids to serve as tutors for his son in everything from astromechanics to intergalactic history. Edmond wanted his son to follow in his footsteps, but he did not want him being some idiot scow hauler either.
Logan learned a love for the great open space from his father. There was great freedom to be found in space and he also enjoyed all the interesting things he got to see and experience. He knew that his planet-bound peers did not have such an exciting life.
Thus, at 17, after passing an equivalency test to show he had completed his secondary education, he applied to the Imperial Naval Academy; however, he was rejected because of his lack of family connections and is somewhat informal schooling. He then applied to the Imperial Service Academy and was accepted to receive schooling to become part of the Imperial Survey Corps, which was tasked with exploring and scouting out the know and even 'unknown' parts of the Galaxy.
Earning a Bachelor of Science in Astrography from the ISA, he was commissioned as an Ensign in the Survey Corps, which was a uniformed service in the Imperial Remnant, but non-combat and viewed as second-string by many Navy types. It might well have saved his life being in the ISC since this about the time that the Imperial Navy was beginning to face crushing defeats at the hands of the New Republic and soon Grand Admiral Zand would lead a good-sized chunk of the Imperial Navy into self-imposed exile.
Logan rose through the ranks of the ISC fairly quickly, especially with the turmoil in the Remnant. He loved his career and got see some of the remotest parts of the Galaxy. Eventually, he would return to school, the University of Muunilinst to be precise, and earn a Master of Science in Astrography and a Master of Science in Xenoarchaeology.
He topped out as a Rear Admiral in the ISC, being in-charge of ISC's Archaeological Division. Although a fair amount of it is planet-bound, Logan found fairly early on in his ISC career that he enjoyed archaeology since it allowed him to learn more about new and different cultures.
With Zand's return to the Galaxy and the death and defection of several high-ranking Imperials, Logan was transferred to the Imperial Navy, given a double promotion to Admiral and put in-charge of Black Sword Command which had recently been rescued from the Yevethans. Normally, such an occurrence as has happened to Logan would be unthinkable, but these are scary and treacherous times and the Remnant desperately needs high-ranking officers who it believes will not jump ship for Zand's forces. Logan has always stayed out of political issues and just been content to do his job. |

I see. If your application is approved, we will append it to the account.
However, Black Sword Command originally transferred to the Deep Core, with their shipyards and ships under repair and construction left at Yevetha (which, in canon, caused the Black Fleet Crisis). Now, in our canon, the Yevethan uprising was at about the same time as in canon, but was swiftly and brutally crushed by Imperial forces under Grand Admiral Zend. Later, the surviving elements would've almost certainly have defected with her due to the heavier elements involved in the fleet (and most of the Empire's heavy assets leaving with her).
Therefore, it's extremely unlikely—if not impossible—for your character to gain control of a "recently rescued from the Yevethan forces" Black Sword Command, and then leading them against Grand Admiral Zend. That will require revision, I'm afraid.
Also, I wish to apologize for the slow response, and I realize this news cannot help matters. I hope you will still choose to play here, though. _________________ Emperor Ams Jendob, Ruler of the Imperial Remnant

Might Grand Admiral Zand have put him in charge of the fleet then? The reason he might have jumped over to the Zand's True Empire was because, while in the Outer Rim doing research, his group was ambushed by pirates, he was taken captive and it was Zand's forces that liberated him? Noting his Rear Admiral rank (the ISC is a uniformed, although non-combat, service of the Empire) and his distiniguished, albiet apolitical, career, she offered him charge of Black Sword Command since she feels he is the type that is apolitical and will serve her True Empire because he is there to serve and do his job, not get fat on corruption. |

Hey! I'm Cray and I play Daara Zend.
Zend's forces would indeed accept you if you pledged allegiance to them earnestly. However, how much wiggle room is there about your command position? I don't believe she would allow him entirely free reign with a large fleet immediately, although I could certainly see us getting to that point.
So, would it be acceptable to start you out as a less important Imperial commander, perhaps just the captain of one ship or a commander of a few ships, and then progress into a larger role in the TE as Daara trusts you more?
Let us know. Thanks! _________________
