Summarized Biography:
Samantha Shepard is the estranged daughter of Rear Admiral Harrington Shepard. Her mother died when the younger Shepard was 12, causing strain on their relationship, which ultimately fell apart when Samantha was involved with gangs around fifteen. She later cleaned up her act after the colony she was residing at was hit by pirates, and enrolled in the Republic Naval Academy at 18. She briefly made contact with her father after she was commissioned, but the relationship remains stormy.
