Ord Mantell
Quote:
Ord Mantell was known as the Heart of the Bright Jewel since it orbited the blue star Bright Jewel at the center of the Bright Jewel system. The planet was famous for its thick, outer cometary cloud, which glowed with a pinkish cast when viewed from space, ensuring its place as the site of the Blockade Runners Derby for nearly 100 years.
Two large moons and thirteen other satellites orbited the planet (to which was added the Jubilee Wheel), and the cloud cover was tinged with pink when viewed from the planet's surface. This collection of natural wonders made Ord Mantell something of a tourist attraction, despite its seedier side. It was also the homeworld of the Mantellian Savrips and Mantellian flutterplumes, whose sapience was largely unnoticed or ignored.
Mountains and islands were the distinct features of Ord Mantell's terrain. Almost every land mass on the planet was dotted with mountain chains. Ord Mantell's continent of Worlport boasted a sprawl of cities along its southern shore and it is this part of Ord Mantell that many spacers regarded as a safeport, famous for casinos and for tourists, of which it attracted almost one billion annually. Other metropolitan areas lacked address markings and were considered not intended for outsiders. The thinking behind this was that if you don't know where you're going, then you don't belong here.
Outside of the urban sprawl, the narrow equatorial band of starports and the volcanic islands, Ord Mantell remained largely rural and low tech. Its extreme reliance on fossil fuels kept the planet quite barren, huge robotic coal yards remained to fuel the planet's cities and an immense junkyard littered a large portion of the planetscape.

Worlport Spaceport
Quote:
To the south was a sandy coastline and to its north was a wasteland that led to Ten Mile Plateau. The city was built mainly with sprawling Corellian classic-revival architecture. Worlport contained Government House, the Lady Fate Casino, and the Hotel Grand.
The Worlport Spaceport is located to the north of the capital city, ripe with crime, but a perfect place to hide.

Mantellian Savip
Quote:
The Mantellian Savrips were a species of large, sentient natives to Ord Mantell. They had hunched-over statures, leathery skin, snake-like heads, and arms long enough to drag on the ground.

Often believed to be simply a very cunning non-sentient animal by many other species, the Savrips were actually a sentient, but technologically very primitive, species. They even had their own informal language, and some could even learn to speak accented Basic. The Warlord Taxer Sundown used the Mantellians' prejudice against the Savrips to blame the murders his organization carried out on them.
Savrips were naturally inclined to combat, and this, coupled with their unusual language, only fostered the notion that these beings were unintelligent. Because of this, many were hunted or exported, and, by the time of the Galactic Empire, few Savrips remained on Ord Mantell.

Jelahan Loren
Quote:
Jelahan is the leader of Loren’s Dreaded, an organization that used to help freelancing bounty hunters and assassins get missions and bounties for a percentage of the profit. But since it’s original leader, Boz Loren was killed by Badim Soilding in self-defense, it quickly fell into the hands of Boz’s father: Jelahan Loren, once unaware of his son’s dealings in the crime world, now using the organization to collect revenge on Badim Soilding.
Using the assets available to him, he set feelers throughout the galaxy to study Badim and find what was closet to his heart. Originally going to destroy his foster parents, he was within position to strike before Urnath Dirod interfered and beat Jelahan to the trigger pull. He continued to send feelers out, and after hearing that Badim had made contact with an old friend of his, he contracted Dorniekke to watch and study Badim. Stating that it was only to see what he was enjoying, and nothing more.

Loren has gone insane in the five years since his son’s death at the hands of Badim, wanting justice to be served through any means necessary.
He had a rare skin disease that plagued his arms and threatened to engulf his body. But after receiving a generous amount of credits from an unknown source, he was able to afford the only option available to counter the effects: Amputate both his arms and have them replaced by cybernetic prosthetics.
A year after his surgery, his son was killed and he quickly became the leader of Loren’s Dreaded, quickly finding out that through the organization, Boz was able to collect enough credits through bounties to pay for his father’s operation.

Pained that his son had died running an organization that was created to help him, he swore he’d use Loren’s Dreaded and destroy the one who killed his son: Badim Soilding.

Loren’s Dreaded Headquarters
Quote:
The headquarters to the Loren’s Dreaded Organization, relocated from Nar Shaddaa to Ord Mantell, appears to be a small building hidden within the hills of the wastelands, but underneath it’s a sprawling base of operations.
Barracks for the soldiers and bodyguards are stationed within, a quick and sudden change for the organization. Jelahan quickly sought for some sort of way to secure the organization, opting for hired mercenaries to protect the vulnerable organization, loosing two of it’s original three leaders by one man.
Prisons for captives and uncooperative feelers were placed in the crude cells that resided inside. The guards are unrelenting to the prisoners, especially towards those who were connected to Badim Soilding or feelers who refused to hunt him any further, as ordered by Jelahan to be as ruthless as possible.
Jelahan’s office and private sanctuary is adorned with video screens linking to Worlport, where the room would receive a sort of natural view and lighting aside from duracrete walls.

Partial PG-13 Content, but doesn't break the rating of the game.
Though some may want to skip this.

It was dark, damp and eerie. Cold and lifeless. Clare felt alone, scared that she had let her guard down and that she was dead. She didn’t feel strong, not without Badim, he was the only thing that made her strong now, but she had let her guard and barriers down. She should have seen such a threat coming, she had let her defenses down twice in the same day, once with the bounty hunter on The Leaper and another at the spaceports.

She still felt the bruise that the blaster left on her forehead, the numbness that had surrounded her body from the stun blaster, the nauseating drug that was infused in her to complete the effect of death. The hopeless look she gazed at Badim with, the fire in his eyes after the shot, his cries for revenge at the loss of her. But she wasn’t dead. Yet.
The man had something planned for her, for what she didn’t know. All she hoped was that she could see Badim, one last time.
“Wake up, Bitch.” Preston said to her, beating against the crude bars of her cell as she lay on the ground in a fetal position of exhaustion, the effects of her death still wearing off. Preston was one of the guards, the crudest one at that, not to mention new at torture. She had heard him complain about her a lot with the other guards, asking why they couldn’t just deal with her right now.

The doors to the cell opened as Clare sat there helpless, she could feel the dark emotions emanating from Preston as he entered with a knife. Priming it as he picked her up off the floor and threw her onto the metal cot in the small room, spreading her legs apart as he waved the knife in front of her face, she was helpless, her body not responding to anything yet, but her mind was fully aware of what was happening as the man began to cut her shirt open.
Just as the knife was about to split her shirt open and reveal what she had underneath, a blaster bolt rang out and impacted the man’s head, sending the knife falling to the ground and Preston lying dead on Clare. Tears ran down her face, relieved someone had dealt with Preston, who was primed to screw with her, then who knows what else.

Sharp pain impacted her arm as a needle entered, filling her with an unknown substance as her body began to function again. Her eyes darted to her savior as he pulled the body of Preston off of her, she wanted it to be Badim, tears prepared to fall down her face in rejoice. But she held them back, seeing his savior as the man who had destroyed Badim’s being, turning him to rage and revenge.
Her body wouldn’t fully respond just yet, and by the time it did, the man had already grabbed everything that wasn’t suppose to be in there out into the hall: Preston and the knife.
“Let this be a warning: She is to be left unharmed,” he said to the rest of his guards, “If you see anyone trying this again or anything of the likes, kill them on my behalf. I would rather kill you all, instead of have one of you harm her.”

Clare pulled what was left of her shirt together, hoping to hide herself better, but instantly found her face covered with a thrown piece of clothing, “Put that on, it will cover you better than what you’re wearing now.”

“Why are you doing this?” Clare asked, turning her back to the man as she quickly changed her torn shirt for the new one.

“Justice must be served,” he replied as he walked away, “And Badim must feel the pain that he put on me. Twice over.”

“Got a meal here for you,” a guard said as he entered with a tray of food, an assortment of meals from several parts of the galaxy adorning the black tray. But the thing that attracted Clare, was the fork and dulled knife. Nothing, to the untrained. Clare heaved her shoulders, playing that she didn’t want it or wasn’t able to feed herself.
The guard stuttered, then turned to the two other guards, who shrugged their shoulders. The guard shook slightly, then cautiously entered the cell with the tray of food. It had been order by Jelahan that she be fed every day, and they didn’t want to disagree with him. He paced inside slowly, placing the tray of food next to Clare, then turning his back to her as he made his way back out. Bad move, she thought to herself as she leapt forward, in the meantime grabbing both the fork and dulled knife and gripping them in her hand. She wrapped her arm around his neck and pulled him back, using him as a springboard to leap towards the other two guards as they slowly tried to react.

She jammed the fork into an arm of one of the guards, and the knife into the neck of the other. She stood over the two, reaching down to the stun blaster in the dead one’s hand and shot the wounded guard, then shot her leg behind her, sending the last guard hurtling back into the cage she was once in. Reaching and slamming the cell door with emphasized force, releasing a large echo that could be heard through the rest of the cellblock.
Clare rushed down the hall of cells, prisoners marveling at her escape. Two guards rounded the corner with their blasters raised.
Clare raised her own and fired a single shot before dropping to a slide on her hips and calves, dodging a shot sent her way as she sent one back in the opposite direction. With a thud, the two fell to the ground in unconsciousness as Clare pounced back to her feet and exited the prison, rearing a corner as she caught her breath, collecting her barring and thoughts. She had made it out, for the most part. Now she needed to make a complete escape. She closed her eyes, remembering what she had seen when they entered the base. Though motionless, she was able to see where she was, and memorize the path to get to the speeder bay.

She rushed forward again, her eyes open as she followed the path she remembered, finally entering the speeder bay after disabling several more guards. She saw three guards inside, standing and chatting. Though, quickly interrupting their conversation to turn their attention to the escaped Clare, reacting and raising their blasters to her.
She pulled the trigger on the stun blaster, aiming wildly as she fired. She didn’t care if any hit, she needed a distraction as she made her way to a swoop bike, then pressing the throttle to full as flew past the closing blast doors. Leading to a wasteland of broken parts and ships as she made her way back to what seemed like a Corellian city, but seeing the wasteland and the ocean in front of her, she realized it was Worlport, Ord Mantell.

She barely had time to pause, quickly pressing the throttle again as she angled her blaster back at the now pursuing guards, now hot on her trail in their own speeders. Racing in and out of debris as she skillfully attempted to lose them, or take a daring action and kill the odd one out. A reassuring explosion behind her quickly bolstering the latter thought.
She slowed to a sudden stop, holding herself in her seat as her hair and the other speeders whipped past her. She didn’t hesitate and fired her blaster at the backs of the speeders she now chased, hitting one in the arm, disabling it and sending him veering towards a piece of a broken ship, an explosion bringing the chasers down to one.
Clare didn’t pause, sending another stun bolt right between the shoulders of the last rider, stopping him completely as his speeder safely stopped in it’s tracks, Clare zipping and leaving the guard in her wake.

After a mile or two, she jumped off the speeder and continued on foot, using the wasteland to her advantage as she snuck into the city uncontested and without hassle, quickly stowing away on a transport that was leaving, to where, she didn’t care. As long as she was away from Ord Mantell and Jelahan, she’d be fine. Now, she needed to find Badim and assure him that she was alive. But there was an entire galaxy, and she didn’t know where to begin. Best to get started.

Kyp slid out the cot provided by Sethe. He didn't like the accommodations as much as the Leaper where he had his own compact quarters. Here he had to share with Jaira. He was used to the solitude of the Leaper and the Vigilance. The presence of another being in such close proximity during sleep bothered him and kept him awake the entire time. Hopefully their business here would be short and swift. Short and swift. Jelahan's downfall would be just that.

Jaira hoped down from the top bunk and began preparing her armor and blasters. Kyp rolled his eyes and moved out of the space into the main walkway and headed towards the cockpit. He moved down the relatively short distance and paused momentarily for the airlock to open. In front of him was the planet Ord Mantell. He moved up beside Sethe who sat above Badim in the pilots seat. The cockpit was a in line two seater, much like a YT-2000's interior.

Out ahead of the Escrow was Ord Mantell. It's swirling mass of pinkish clouds and mountainous continents was a sight to see. Kyp knew however that beneath it's beautiful exterior lay a polluted surface ripe with scum and crime. The other side of the coin. Kyp glanced over the holo-screens inside the cockpit. "Now to find the needle in the haystack."

Ord Mantell came closer into view as The Escrow approached, finally gaining permission to enter from Worlport. Badim and Kyp went over the holo-screens to find a possible location for Jelahan. If he was dealing with a large gang, Worlport wouldn’t be a safe or smart place to hide in, he would have had to set up inside the Wastelands. An area of Ord Mantell that was scattered with the remains of ships and considered a junkyard, also where it’d be easiest to hide amongst the rubble.
Badim and Kyp agreed, and Sethe set a course for The Worlport Spaceport. Where they’d feel around instead of searching the ambush ridden wastelands, for now at least.

The holo-screen flashed with holophotos of the capital city of Worlport, The Corellian Architecture looking elegant amongst the surrounding wastelands and majestic ocean. Badim and Clare had seen a small portion of the original Corellia while they waited for the upgrades to The Killer’s Fate to be fitted. It wasn’t magical, and he could’ve still picked a part moments where she had tried to attack him, but still holding back. But they had shared it together all the same.
Badim rubbed his eyes; stress and thought making him shift his fingers to his temples.
The Escrow jumped slightly as it entered Ord Mantell’s polluted atmosphere of fossil fuel use, the holo-screen in front of Badim stated, being the cause for the pink tinge and contrast in the clouds and sky.

Soon, The Escrow landed and Kyp, Sethe and Badim left the cockpit for the cargo bay. They saw Sara, Jaira and H6 prepared for their departure. Sara quickly checked her two DC-17 blasters, then nodded to the three. Jaira checked her modified Bryar rifle, it’s stock and muzzle having been removed, before being holstered to her hip. She quickly checked her two backup hold-out blasters, then nodded as well.
H6 stood motionless, his DL-44 in hand and ready for use.

Firi and Dex exited their room prepared as well. Firi was in a jacket to hid her wings from prying eyes, her wings kept bound tightly underneath, but not uncomfortably. She stepped forward and carefully picked up a blaster, still getting the handle on the devices it seemed. But she was capable, Badim knew.
Dex moved to do the same, walking passed Badim as he placed a hand on him. Badim jerked his head gently to Firi, motioning Dex to look at her. Badim looked at Firi for a moment along with Dex, before the two met eyes again. Badim nodded and released the nineteen year old’s shoulder. Dex moved forward, gripped a blaster and then gently placed his own hand on Firi’s shoulder.

She turned and smiled. Badim wondered how deep of a relationship they were having, and judging by the looks of it, it seemed fairly deep and passionate. Though it seemed as how Badim and Clare had began, just an innocent flirt or two, then sharing an accidental kiss during their first night of travel.
They had remained separated for some time, keeping a gentle distance until they crashed on Rhen Var. Where they both had grown concerned, not only for Sara as well, but for each other more deeply.

With the way Dex and Firi looked at each other, it looked as though the two would have shared a kiss, if Sethe hadn’t gotten himself ready and opened the gangplank. Firi instantly pulled her jacket tighter around her, asking Dex if any part of her wings showed. He looked, corrected her jacket slightly and gave her a gentle pat on the shoulder. They shared looks with each other again, before being interrupted again.

“Let’s get going, you two.” Sethe said jokingly.
“You two can get a room after we’re done here.” Sara quote the line Lucas had commented on Badim and Clare on Denon. Firi blushed slightly as Dex shifted uneasily, but stopped once the two began to walk close together.

Badim smirked. He enjoyed seeing what he and Clare had looked like to the others, innocent and still getting used to the idea of being together.
But his smirk washed away as his eyes followed everyone leaving the gangplank, noticing it was time for him to finally avenge Clare.
How? he still didn’t know, the outcome was still a mystery to him.

Badim stepped out last, heaving a sigh as he donned his hood for what would be the last time. He checked the straps on his wrist blades, the vibroblade on his hip, his throwing knives, vibrosword on his back, his E-11 in his hand and his DL-22 in it’s holster. He was set, and ready to enact his revenge. Sethe pulled up a datapad after he paid the docking fees, Badim swiftly compensating him for the cost. Sethe relayed the location of a cantina near the dusty hanger, where Badim, Sethe, Sara and H6 would begin their search: The Seven Winds Cantina.
While Kyp, Dex, Firi and Jaira would head to the Trader's Quarter.

Tag: Kyp Alright, I’ll get a plot layout in the assessment room ASAP.

There was nothing about recon that Sethe liked. He hadn't liked it in the service, nor did he like it now on, of all places, Ord Mantell. The air was too stale, made it hard to breathe deeply. The last time he'd been on this rock had been with Emmett...

He wondered how Tseneca was fairing. Naboo would be in late summer by now, with its clean air and cool coasts. It would be good for her, after all that had passed. He shook his head, It didn't matter at the moment.

They headed for Seven Winds, Sethe keeping an eye out for people looking longer than they should Sara walked closely behind Badim and Sethe let H6 bring up the rear. He was intimidating for a droid, and that didn't make them any less conspicuous...

The Trader's Quarter was dusty. It was Ord Mantell after all, and Drekka had told him stories about the ore harvested here. Drekka was in charge of most of the shipments to and from. In fact, it was likely he was trading with Jelahan, though Dex wouldn't tell Badim that in the sate he was in. He didn't have his hand in any of his guardian's affairs anyway, much less new about the importations coming off of Hutta. The idea that he'd be in charge of production, he'd dropped over the last few months. It was better for Drekka anyway.

"What are you thinking about?" Firi's voice broke through his thoughts. He looked down and saw her pull the hood of her jacket over her face. It was a shame she had to cover up so, but the glow of her skin would giver her away instantly, and they needed to keep a low profile. He couldn't imagine being a diathim hybrid in the real world would be any easier than being a human hybrid on her own planet. poor thing.

"Nothing," He pointed to some of the market stalls. "I did promise you at some point I'd buy you a roll..."

Jaira turned and looked at him. "Not now Dex."

The other woman was only a few years older than himself, but he wasn't sure he liked her all that much. For example, what was it about subtlety that the woman didn't understand? He was trying to make Firi feel better by offering to buy her something, which of course he wouldn't actually do at the moment. Then, there was the fact that Firi still had a bounty on her head and Jaira was the last person he trusted. Then, there was good old fashion dislike at her all-business patronizing attitude.

"Why did we get paired up with you again?"

"Trust me, it wasn't my first choice." Jaira rolled her eyes.

Badim, Sethe and Sara entered The Seven Winds Cantina, H6 voluntarily opting to stay outside and in an alleyway to keep himself hidden and to not attract too much attention, Too soon he had added. Badim stood in front of Sara and Sethe, stopping briefly as he observed the room, making Sara curiously do the same.
The cantina was filled with expelled smoke and aromas of drunken burps, making Sara cringe even with her experiences in bars and cantinas in her journey with The Killer’s Fate and The Blight Leaper.

She swallowed hard, preparing to shallowly and cautiously breath in the smells as Badim moved into the cantina without faze. Badim moved to a corner of the room as Sara and Sethe followed, the two keeping a solemn eye on the patrons, one looking a little too suspicious: Wearing black bounty hunter armor with L.D. stenciled on his armor’s breastplate.
Loren’s Dreaded, Sara hissed in her head, watching as the suspicious bounty hunter quietly spoke into a comlink, but didn’t react to them directly.
“He must be contacting Jelahan,” Sara whispered to Sethe, who was also noticing the armored man.

“I’ll keep my blaster ready,” he playfully answered back.

Badim took a seat in a booth, Sethe and Sara taking a seat as well as they eyed the bounty hunter out of the corner of their eyes. Trying to keep a fake conversation going while the man and two new arrivals, in the same uniforms, arrived and started to approach.

Badim kept quiet, glancing subtly past the hood of his cloak to the three armored men approaching their table. Two of them stopped a few feet from the table as the third stepped forward.
“Badim Soilding,” he said, knowing it was him as a certainty. He ran a set of fingers through his blonde hair in one hand, and carefully gripped a blaster at his hip with another, Sethe and Sara unnoticeably gripping their’s as well. He slowly began to unholster his blaster and continued, “Jelahan promised a lot of credits for bringing you to him aliv--”

Badim lunged forward, watching in slow-motion as the man tried to bring his blaster to bare, but failed with a flick of Badim’s smallest finger, extending his wrist blade and thrusting it into his throat, silencing him as he tried to get what air he could.
Badim had used the force of his body to drive the blade into the bounty hunter, sitting with his knee to the man’s chest as he lay dead on his back.

He looked up, seeing the two bounty hunters raise their blasters to Badim as patrons began to scurry out of the cantina, but their faces quickly exploded from shots Sara and Sethe fired.

Badim felt around the man’s waist, quickly finding the comlink he had used to contact Jelahan. He stood, then tossed the small device to Sethe, “Try and see if you can find out where Jelahan is, it should be in there if this man contacted him.”

Sethe nodded and quickly took a side entrance out as Sara remained with Badim, H6 wandering inside at the commotion, but sighing at the missed opportunity.
“We need to get the others at the Trader’s Quarters,” Badim said as he began to exit the cantina, Sara and H6 following, “We might have just found Jelahan sooner than I thought.”

Badim tossed him the device. "Kill first ask questions later..." Sethe grumbled to himself and searched the pad. No part of Badim's actions were subtle or quaint. the man was being led almost entirely on impulse. There, Jelahan's headquarters was speeder distance away, the outskirts, wastelands. He tossed the pad back to Badim. "We can get there if we have the right kind of transportation, but if this guy was in touch with Jelahan, we'll need to move quickly. Even if he was working free-lance, you can bet the boss knows we're here and we're looking for him."

Badim nodded, and the group set out to look for the others.

H6 followed the group as they left to regroup with the rest of the crew, aside from Alisson, Tseneca, Lucas and Jonas. The streets were filthy, covered in dust, debris and other miniscule items that H6 didn’t want to describe, let alone look at. But Master, Sethe and Sara ignored the repulsing nature of Ord Mantell and pressed forward to The Trader’s Quarter, where Master Kyp, Firi, Dex and Jaira had left to find what information they could on Jelahan, even if they only needed to travel with Master to find the information. Relatively easy by the looks of it. H6 had heard over his audioreceptors Sethe quietly mumbling and disapproving of Master’s actions, against the ones who tried to foolishly get in the way of Master and The Insane One.

H6’s audioreceptors quickly picked apart blaster fire, and picked up his pace, the others doing so too when their organic ears heard it as well. There was a firefight going on between Master Kyp, Firi, Dex and Jaira in the courtyard, the four pinned by fifteen mercenaries and hired guns.

“Anticipation:” H6 began, priming his DL-44 as he prepared to run down to assist, “I will most certainly enjoy this, Master.”

Firi ducked as a bolt went past her ear. She crouched down, even as Dex pushed her with his palm, making her get low against one of the booths.

"What the hell!?" He yelled. Firi grabbed for her blaster.

"Shoot first, ask questions later!?" Jaira yelled and let go her weapon fire. Firi did the same, shooting wildly at the group firing at them.

"Bounty hunters? Or Jelahan's men?" Dex continued to yell. He had placed himself in front of Firi so she had to shoot over his shoulder.

"Who cares!?" she cried into his ear. "They're shooting at us!"

Sara charged down the hill, firing both of her DC-17s at the mercs as she slid into cover, just off to the side from the others. Firi was handling her blaster well, but was still wild with her shots. She’d get better after some more practice--
A shot seared against her head, singeing a few locks of her red hair as she ducked back down. She cursed loudly, briefly stopping as she leaned out and fired her blasters again.
She ducked back down, the mercs weren’t letting up, and it seemed as though more were coming. Either that or they were just closing in on them.
H6 was sniping from the sidelines, but was constantly being force to take cover from the mercs attacking him in response.

Badim pressed his side to a pillar, carefully glancing at the entire group that had followed him here. Sara saw worry in his face, doubt if he should have allowed them to come, to put their lives in danger like it was now.
He shook his head and peered around the pillar, pulling his E-11 out and firing at a nearby merc.

Sethe took cover next to Sara, counting off a set of numbers before leaning out and shooting at their attackers.
Sara turned to the others, watching as Jaira donned her helmet and began to fire a little more accurately, her armored suit scorched from missed shots.

Sara leaned back out and fired again at the continually dwindling number of mercenaries. Just as a shot seared past her cheek.

She dropped a blaster and pressed her hand to her burning face, “Frakkin’ Hell!” she exclaimed as she tried to release the pain in her face. It felt like magma had been poured over the wound, and was quickly cauterizing as it set in.
Sethe reached over and yelled if she was okay.

“I’m fine! I’ll get bacta later!” she hissed against the pain, releasing the hold she had on her cheek as she bent down and grabbed the blaster she had dropped and turned to fire again.

Badim turned to his friends, watching as they fired against Jelahan’s men to defend themselves. Watching as a shot seared past Sara’s hair, burning a lock or so completely off, falling to the ground burning. He peered around the pillar he was behind and fired, hitting a men in the chest as he fell backwards from the blaster bolt that impacted his chest.
He ducked back down as he noticed Sara get shot in the cheek, not with the same impact one shot had with Firi, but enough to burn her cheek and cause a wound that might scar if she didn’t receive bacta immediately.

She turned back to the mercs and continued to fire despite the pain.

Badim rushed for the others and slid next to Sethe and Sara, as H6 ran forward and took cover at the pillar Badim was just behind.
He couldn’t help but look at Sara and her burning cheek, the burning plasma beginning to cauterize into a wound.
“I’ll be fine!” she retorted to Badim’s unspoken words of concern.

Badim quickly nodded, stood and fired at another merc. As Kyp’s lightsaber twirled into an azure circle, mixed with the blasts of red and green that deflected off it’s surface.

"Everywhere we go. Everywhere we go, we end up getting shot at," Kyp laughed between lightsaber strokes. "No diplomacy with you people." He twirled around, in a counter clockwise circle, and knocked away a few bolts of crimson fire. Sure was nice to have three sabers at the ready.

Dex cursed under the sound of the barrage and fired a few more shots. Firi held Dex down while he checked himself for wounds. On the other side of the courtyard Kyp watched a man whose malicious intent he could feel crawl up his spine. He fired his stubby bryar pistol straight and true at the Iego native.

Kyp reached his hand out and pushed her down with the force below her mutual cover with Dex. Someone so pure had no place in a firefight between damned spirits. "Keep her head down, damnit. I don't want to have to pick up-" Kyp dodged to his right and felt warmth pass close to his chest. "Angel stew," he finished his thought.

A man stepped from his cover and chucked a thermal detonator high over his head towards the crew. Not today. Kyp reached out and forced the thermal detonator back down on a similar trajectory to which it left. The grenade landed in front of his cover and turned it to scrap and flung bits of hot metal into his body. He'd live but for now he was combat ineffective.

"Next!" Kyp screamed as he took his own cover for a moment.

Sethe chuckled slightly. "Angel stew" and shot both blasters, one in each hand. he forced his back against Badim, who was using his blades to slash the mercs. They actually made a pretty good team, windmilling about.

Then, the onslaught stopped, and the market was silent, not to mention littered with bodies.

"I can see why Tseneca hangs out with you people." Sethe said, observing the damage. "You're exciting."

"Not the word I'd use for it, but okay." Badim grunted.

The battle was over and bodies were scattered all about. But this was Ord Mantell, and there probably wouldn‘t be a response from the authorities. He searched the faces of his friends, and a more weary friend: Sara’s wound was healing, it had only looked like she got a sunburn and wasn’t going to be scarred, H6 looked like he had taken another hit, but wasn’t damaged at all, Jaira was in fine shape inside her armor, Firi, Dex and Kyp were all perfectly fine, Firi and Dex slightly shaken up from the sudden engagement, but fine all the same.
Sethe checked on Sara, making sure the close blaster bolt she had taken would heal correctly.
“Mind telling us what that was about, Badim?” Dex asked, placing a hand on Firi’s shoulder out of care and worry for her, “Who were those guys--?”

“Jelahan’s hired guns.” Badim answered back, then tilted his head to face the teenager as he revealed the dull truth, “Jelahan is trying to harm you all to make me pick up my pace with finding him.”
Badim paused, letting them search their each other’s faces then to the men they had just defeated, “It’s going to be like this?” Firi asked, noting the mercenaries, “All the way to Jelahan?”

Badim nodded. His friends had helped him get here, a springboard to get to Jelahan, and he hoped that they wouldn’t follow him. This was getting more dangerous with every step closer they came to Jelahan. Firi was already injured in Badim and Clare’s name, on Nar Shaddaa when they came to rescue the two from Candrog, at first mainly just himself.
“At least we’ll know what we’re up against now,” Firi playfully answered, then tried to prime a pose with her blaster. She’d probably saw a holovid or two while she was aboard The Leaper and saw someone make a similar pose, though it could have just been impulse.

“We need a speeder.” Badim replied.

H6 stepped forward, “Statement: Oh, I will gladly acquire one if you would like, Master--”
“No!” Firi quickly shouted, others quickly agreeing with it, “Don’t let him fly it!”

Badim sleeved his sword, he knew H6 could be…Cocky, behind the controls of a speeder. Badim turned about briskly, his cloak whipping against the force of the turn, and the others followed.

* * *

The group had to rent two speeders in order to fit the large group: Badim’s speeder, with Sethe, Sara and Jaira inside led the way as Sethe directed Badim where to fly the speeder. Firi, Dex, Kyp and H6 flew close behind, Kyp comfortably at the wheel while H6 had a blaster drawn to retaliate against attackers, should they appear.

It was a long ride, and the group finally came within walking distance from Jelahan’s base, opting to approach on foot instead of speeder for the last half-kilometer.
They set the speeders down and began to walk amongst the debris that populated Ord Mantell’s wastelands, using it as cover to conceal themselves from any scouts or spotters, or from an ambush. But there was nothing. No resistance or signs of guards. Even as they boldly approached the main entrance to Jelahan’s base.

Badim looked at the thick, durasteel door that blocked him from entering. He was about to try the easy approach and press a button to open it, when it slid open on it’s own. Jelahan. The air that exited was cool and full of the usual metallic smells of an underground headquarter. Badim hesitated, waiting for the others to gather as the dark hallway before them slowly began to illuminate with florescent lights sparking to life along the length of the corridor. There was no one inside it seemed. Not yet at least. Badim entered first, the others following as the door behind them slowly shut and locked them all in. They’d need to deal with Jelahan to get out of here.

A hiss came from down the corridor and Badim pointed his blaster, seeing another door slowly open, inviting them all in.

Alright, we're in now. Go ahead and make an enemy or ten pop up when you want :D

Sara followed Badim through the slowly opening doors as the others followed as well, leading into a crossway of corridors. While Badim silently peered down each pathway to decide which path to take, Sara took this moment to rest, even for a moment to recuperate and slow her increasingly fast beating heart. She looked around, seeing the eerie shadows the florescent lights above them cast against the walls and floors here. It almost sent a chill down her spine.
Badim finally moved, the others following as H6 hung back for just a moment to hack into a computer console.

Before the crossway disappeared completely from her, she and Kyp stopped. Peering down the left corridor curiously. Something nudged her and she cautiously said, “This way.”
Badim stopped and looked at her, then to H6, pacing towards the group as he relayed base directions.
“Agreement: Master, Sara is correct. That corridor will surely bring us towards The Insane One.”

Badim nodded to Sara, his face still cold like it was now. Then asked H6 to lead the way. He obliged happily. Taking point would mean he’d likely get more kills. The others followed while Sara lingered for just a moment, watching carefully as Kyp walked passed her then flashing a glance that seemed to probe her in the subtlest ways. It abruptly stopped when his gaze turned back to the group, no words spoken to her.

Sara shook her head, quickly catching up to the others as they came closer to Jelahan.

So I was thinking Kyp got a little curious about Sara suddenly coming up with the right direction to travel in and such. Maybe he’d feel the Force in her, but not say anything.

H6 had copied the bunker’s layout into his memory core, he knew exactly where to go. Leading Master’s companions towards the likeliest place for The Insane One to reside in, the back of the underground construct and just beyond the barracks.

H6 turned a corner and entered one of the many rooms and corridors that led to The Insane One. The room suddenly exploded in flashes of red and the entire room illuminated as ceiling lights came on, revealing a combat training room for The Insane One’s mercenaries and soon to be dead cannon fodder to train in, with foolishly plenty of cover. The group took cover wherever they could find it, while Kyp ignited his lightsaber and began to deflect, attack and dismember anyone who opposed him. H6 expertly dodging fire as he fired his DL-22 accurately at any of the mercenaries. He laughed menacingly as the mercenaries and guards fruitlessly fired at him.

Short, I know. But it gets us some action.

Kyp slid back into the group and moved cautiously through the hallways. He had stopped along side Badim's companion when he felt that familiar drop in his gut. She had known just as well as he had. Extraordinary luck or decision making was often discarded as coincidence. Perhaps it was another trait that she, a member of the crew, had yet to discover.

There was a few ways to discover for sure. He'd make an inquiry sometime later. First and foremost the group needed to finish their business on Ord Mantell, which was all in Badim's hands.

Badim aimed his E-11, pointing and firing at the last of the mercenaries as he watched the armored man fall to the ground. This battle was over, but they had reached a new dilemma. Badim turned to the other side of the room, watching as the door that would lead them to Jelahan began to slowly and methodically close. Badim saw this as his chance, he couldn’t risk his friend’s lives anymore, and rushed forward as the other tried to follow, but were cut off as Badim slid underneath the door. Sara tried to reach a hand in to follow, before being swiftly pulled back by Kyp through the Force as the door clanged shut.
The hallway fell into darkness, Badim blending in perfectly until the ceiling lights above him flickered on. He looked behind him, seeing no one but himself in the hall. For now, at least.
Welcome, Soilding.” Jelahan said over a loudspeaker, “I see you have made it past the first barrier that blocked you from getting to me.

Badim sneered at a security camera to his left, then swiftly extended his index finger at it, then paced down the corridor towards the next room, or hall. He wasn’t sure what he was going to expect, and was only going in the direction H6 had previously specified.
Now. That’s not the way to react, Soilding.

Badim aimed his E-11 and fired at the security camera, it’s body exploding into pieces as he continued.
Jelahan sighed in displeasure. Though it seemed he would have hopes of watching him through another camera further down.
The durasteel door in front of him hissed open, another dark room quickly igniting in illumination as guards were revealed to him.

Badim swiftly fired his E-11 at the ceiling, letting the darkness surround him. The guards turn on flashlights mounted underneath their weapons, but Badim wasn’t in their sights, even as they began to search the room under Jelahan’s sudden order.
Badim ducked behind cover, letting the lights search for him fruitlessly among the darkness. He followed one light, watching as it passed over a vent that would lead out of here. Badim waited for another searchlight to pass over his cover, then vaulted in the direction of the vent, firing several shots at it to burn it open, using the first couple to light the darkness so he could briefly aim accurately.

He dove as blaster bolts singed past him and he slid into the vent, crawling briefly until he found yet another vent to his right, leading back into another hallway. He covered his face, then fired several shots into it’s frame and pressed it open.
He crawled out, quickly blasting another set of cameras out of existence. He stood next to the vent quietly, listening as the mercs were ordered to enter, and they followed Jelahan’s order. One of the merc’s head poked out, quickly falling flat and dead as Badim drove his vibroknife into the man‘s skull. He retrieved the knife as the others tried to push the dead corpse out of the vent.
Get back to the room and open the door!” one of the guards yelled, Badim hearing them start to back out.

Badim fired his E-11 at the door controls on his side, hearing muffled curses and fraks from the other side as they tried to bypass the door.

One obstacle out of the way, Badim muttered in his head.

You’re making me very impatient, Badim,” Jelahan hissed, “I have waited five years for you to suffer and die. I will not tolerate another minute!

Badim ignored the insane man’s rants and continued down the hall.

Sara was quickly pulled away from the closing door by Kyp, rejoining the others as they looked at the durasteel door. Wondering what to do.
Sara turned to H6, “Is there a different way to get to where Jelahan is, H6?”

“Confirmation: Affirmative, there are currently two paths of equal length.” H6 took them to an intersection just outside of the room.

“Firi, Dex, Kyp and H6, you four head that way,” Sara said pointing down the left hall. She waved H6 to a computer console just down the hall, having him show her the map of the base and where to go. She nodded as she memorized the path in her head. H6 would be the map for Firi, Dex and Kyp, “Sethe, Jaira and I will go this way,” she pointed down the right hallway and began to walk down it’s length, “Check in when you’re almost to Jelahan, and hopefully where Badim is.”

She turned and watched as they went, feeling another slight probing sensation from Kyp before he turned with the others and ran down their designated path. Sethe and Jaira joined Sara's side and they quickly ran down the hall before them. Heading to help their friend. Whether he needed their help or not.

Listen: Contingency

H6, Kyp, Firi and Dex ran down their designated hallway towards Master’s location, making great hast out of it. Feet echoing as they went. Pushing past their first obstacles was easy enough, and his computer processors noticed a 8.5% increase in accuracy for Firi. She was getting more experienced with every outing they--
Blaster fire erupted from the hallway before them, guarding the entrance to another room, one situated just beyond Jelahan‘s main sanctuary. Which in turn would lead Master to Jelahan.

H6 instinctively, through his programming, made several shots and quickly dealt with the three guards that stood in their way.

They gathered at the durasteel door, waiting for H6 to bypass the control circuits to open it as they prepared. “Sara, we’re at the door. Waiting for you.” Firi said into her comlink.

“We’re set on our end. See you inside.” Sara quickly replied.

The control panel flashed green, and the door quickly hissed open to…
