Did the doctor give you anything? I mean, 99% of people who get it make it through like they would with a normal flu, but still... wow. I can't believe one of our players got the bug.

I had it a few weeks ago, but it didn't stick around for long. Course, I was out for about a day and a half and felt like painting my room with stomach acid and Cheerios the whole time...

It wasn't as bad as some people make it sound, but it was a bit worse than the regular flu, and I caught that last Monday. Good news though, swine flu doesn't involve chest-bursting pigs, contrary to popular Internet belief. :P

The idea is probably still sitting unchecked in the Issues Tool :P

I haven't discounted my survivability, I just hate the flu in any shape or form. Still feel like I've been hit by a truck, even though my fever is going down. Hopefully I'll be able to focus enough to make a coherent IC post soon...

Moff, you'd be surprised how many people actually had it. It's not that big of a deal anymore, IMO.

Three people I work with had it and they all recovered fine.

About two dozen people at my school got it and were only gone for a day or two. It's not exactly AIDS...

I know it's not, as you put it, a pig chestburster. :p

But, I was under the impression that it was at least somewhat rougher than normal flu, which can knock you down for about a week.

It smacks into you like a train for about a day or two before clearing up rapidly and leaving you with a few mild symptoms: runny nose, mild fatigue, coughing, etc.

I had it when the government was still freaking out about it. Didn't feel any different to normal flu.

I still can't believe how much it's threat level was talked up. I've never gotten a Flu shot, and I'm just fine.
