Lerann's Cantina, StarForge Station

"What now?" asked Slen'da.

Cragus 12 sat back. "My contacts know the time and the place. We wait."

Lerann's Cantina, StarForge Station

Among the patrons and the din of the cantina, a Bothan and an armoured warrior sat at one of the side booths. They were talking to pass the time, but the Bothan seemed edgy and nervous. His studious air contrasted sharply from the dirty cantina and it's dirty patrons, but his warrior friend did not seem to notice. Instead, he was watching the rest of the cantina, specifically watching the door.

"There he is."

Cragus had cut Slen'da off mid-sentence, and the Bothan turned his head to look.

"What, that small Rodian youngling who just came in the door? Look, he has left again."

"No." Cragus 12 said sharply. "And yes. He always sends some local scamp in first to scout the meeting area. It doesn't matter if it's a business meeting or if he's flushing his quarry. That Rodian scamp was told to look for us, and now he's gone back to tell him where we are."

"Oh," said Slen'da. "That is a cautious attitude."
"One that he inherited from his father.. and one that has served both of them well."

They did not have long to wait. Apparently satisfied that it wasn't a set-up, a tall armoured man strode in the door. He was clad in the manner of a Thrysus Sun Guard, much like his father. The blue helmet, boots, chest and codpiece armour were of a Thyrsus Sun Guard, but the long dark grey overcoat and bodyglove that lined his body seemed to be of an Imperial Snowtrooper. Miscellaneous equipment from across the Galaxy could be seen dangling from his utility belt. Unlike his father, his kneepads were not fashioned after Human skulls.

Cragus 12 stood up to meet him, and the two armoured men faced each other for a moment. Momentarily forgotten, Slen'da compared the two. Both were armoured, but they were different in almost every other way.

The newcomer stood tall and proud, and his movements were sharp, aggressive. His equipment appeared new, and was well maintained and fresh. Cragus 12 on the other hand, seemed in comparison to be dingy and battered, and gave off the air of an old Hromsa tiger, wizened and scarred. And while still tall and strong, the newcomer had a few centimeters over Cragus 12. He looked down at Cragus 12.

"My father sent me here as a favour to you. While I do this as a courtesy to my father, the reward had better be more than the usual pin bounties you collect, old man." The newcomer glanced at the Jedi.

"And who's your new pet?"

Cragus 12 did not rise to the arrogant tone in the newcomer's voice.

"It is worth, Mile Tark. And this," indicating Slen'da "is our employer."

Mile Tark took a longer, unabashed look at the Bothan. "So you're the one backing this one-time bounty-hunter; I was warned that a Jedi that was going to tag along."

With far less of an entrance, the remaining members of Cragus's team came in. Stavrin Hevix was a contemporary of Cragus. With brown hair turning to grey, he wore well-worn tan combat pants and a tan vest over a black shirt. Much like Mile Tark, his bandoliers were festooned with weaponry, grenades and equipment. But like Cragus 12, he gave off an air of a seasoned, but dangerous warrior. Unlike Cragus 12, he was a little more open genial.

Moments later, a woman joined their group. She was helmetless but armour-clad, and moved purposely toward the group. It was Mist, the legendary assassin from the Kathol Sector.

What Slen'da had assumed to be facial tattoos were actually networks of facial scars. slightly offset by the polite grin she shot at the group.

"Here I am, Cragus 12. I'm always interested in a high-paying bounty, " she said in a business like tone, "and it's nice to see that you have a good back-up squad." She gave business-like nods to Miles and Stavrin, clearly familiar with both of them, and once all of the introductions were made, Cragus got down to business.

Lerann's Cantina - Private Meeting Room

Lerann had several meeting rooms in the back of her cantina. They were available not for the right credits, but for the right customer. Cragus 12 led them into the room to a table fashioned around a holoprojector. Each took their seats, and Cragus began.

"Let's get to it. This is the target."

A holoprojection of the palace-museum sprang up. The walls formed a rough circular perimeter, nearly a kilometre in diameter. In the very centre of the enclosed space was another circle of warehouses and biospheres, interconnected with each other by walkways, and centred around a squat square tower. On one side of the central complex lay several starships and speeders in what was clearly a landing field, and on the other side was a fair-sized mansion, itself ringed with fountains and gardens.

"This is the Palace-Museum of our secondary bounty, the collector Oolak Goyl. Our primary target, Aach Een, and his patron Goyl are currently living in the mansion, plotting their next acquisitions. The central complex of warehouses and biospheres is the main storehouse for Goyl's collection. We don't know what or who he has in those warehouses and terrariums. And of course the far side is the landing field with a number of personal and escort ships."

"The wall itself has cameras and sensors, and is patrolled by a group of Gamorreans, Knurlaag's Band. They are a long way from the Tapani Sector where they were last employed. It looks like they've brought some Watch-Beasts from Gamorr, so what out for those little beasties.

We saw a few ZQ series of hover droids between the walls and the buildings. They will probably be more inside.

The interior group of guards, which appear to look after the storehouses and the mansion, will be a lot tougher. I did some backchecking, and the Aurodium Sword outfit took this job through the Brotherhood of Mortalis a few months ago. They also bolstered their numbers from the Brotherhood for good measure. The Aurodium Sword's core group is a mixture of Imperial Stormtroopers and renegade Wookies. The reinforcements from the Brotherhood, on the other hand, are a mix of races from all over the galaxy. But all of them will undoubtedly be well equipped and heavily armed. We may recognize some individuals in the Brotherhood, but we all know the rules the Brotherhood operates, they will kill us as part of doing their job. Just as we will have to kill them if we're found out."

"So that's the background. The plan is to avoid all of these defences and enter the wall closest to the mansion, infiltrate the mansion, and then snatch and extract Een and Goyl and get out by any means. If surprise is lost, or if we have to blast our way out, we'll call in the starships. My Claw will be piloted by my droid, GX-88, whom some of you know.

If things go well, the first thing he'll do is drop Connor nets on the landing field, then he'll swing back and pick us and our captives all up outside the wall. If we have to fight, he'll commence strafing runs instead of picking us up. Again if things go well, we'll do a short hop over to where the rest of the ships are parked, drop you off back to your own craft, and then we're all lifting off for deep space.

"So that's the original plan, a simple snatch and run. But you three are here in case things get.. unexpected."
