Bakura

Quote:
Bakura was a rich, green and blue planet in the Bakura system of the Shiritoku Spur, located on the isolated edge of the Outer Rim, formally a part of Wild Space.

Salis D'aar

Quote:
Salis D'aar was the capital city of Bakura, It was located between two rivers on the planet, one being the West River, the other, the East River. It was founded by the leader of the first Human colonists to Bakura, Deredith Arden.

D'aarmont was a natural quartz outcropping on Bakura, located at the confluence of the East River and West River, on top of which sat the capital of Bakura, Salis D'aar. D'aarmont measured three kilometers in length and fifty kilometers in width, providing a suitable base for a thriving city. The outcropping was formed as the two rivers eroded the softer rock around it.

Just south of Salis D'aar, D'aarmont also hosted the Bakura spaceport and, during the reign of Emperor Palpatine, an Imperial garrison.

The city was laid out in a roughly circular design, with its major streets either concentric circles or spoke boulevards. Salis D'aar's three districts were also concentric circles identified by different-colored streetlights. The inner district was primarily for public building and lit blue-white, the middle district was mostly divided between residential and commercial buildings and lit pale yellow, finaly, the outer circle was reserved for service buildings and light industry and lit deep red.

Salis D'aar was the location of the Bakuran Senate, the Bakur Memorial Building, the Bakur Senatorial Academy, Tiarest University, the old headquarters of the Bakur Corporation, the Old Hemei Gardens, the planet's primary spaceport located just south of the city, a massive stadium, and presumably the Bakuran National Symphony.

Prytis

Quote:
Prytis was a settlement on the planet Bakura, known for massive forests and Bakuran nobles' estates.

Sara meditated inside her quarters. It had been two weeks since she had left Dantooine, and Sean, behind. He couldn’t keep his hands to himself, despite what he had promised her. She shook her head and exhaled. Revisiting her tranquil portion of The Force, she could feel the life about the passenger vessel. It was on it’s way towards the Outer Rim, it’s last stop being the Union World of Bakura. She needed to get away from the galaxy, leave it be and duck down. She had been swinging back and forth more times than a tach in the trees of Kashyyyk, weighing the options of formally joining the Jedi Order and the New Republic, or secluding herself in the Rim worlds and hone her skills on her own.
Obviously she had chosen the latter of the two. Bakura was looming outside her quarter’s viewport, she couldn’t see it, but with her developing skills she could almost feel the life coming within her range. She was still too far out to make any definitive note of it.

Sara continued to meditate. She kept feeling that she needed to be here. She could have gotten off at Bespin, Cyphar, Bandomeer, Devaron, or Bestine. Hell she could have stopped anywhere. Since she started her trip from Dantooine, to be alone again, she had been getting…visions. They weren’t specific, it was just the crew. The Blight Leaper. She was on the planet with them, seeing them for the first time in weeks at a statue. It was bronze, or similar color. On it were two beings, a pale, hairless humanoid, and the other was a well dressed human. Both were shaking hands with smiles. There were inscriptions on the base of the statue, but she couldn’t make it out.
She knew that here was where she needed to be, she couldn’t tell the feelings of the crew, but soon, in a different vision, her lightsaber was lit and deflecting blaster bolts by the tens.
She had been meditating this whole trip. To revitalize her, strengthen her connection to The Force, and to know when to get off.

Bakura was the beacon, it was the source. To what, exactly? She still didn’t know. But she’d have her lightsaber with her.

She came out of her meditative state, seeing the green and blue world of Bakura. There was no fire, no death or destruction as her latter vision had envisioned. It was normal. Could she be wrong, could she have wasted all this time for nothing? And why was she seeking the crew out? She had pushed them away, pushed Jonas away like he were nothing. She could blame it on being for their safety, that she was crazy, barvy and dangerous to them.

All she knew is that she needed to be down there, for better or worse. What is also a possibility is that this is just a screw up and she came all this way for nothing. She’d just have to find out.

Sara looked at the transparisteel viewport, seeing a reflection of herself in it. Her hair was short, having been cut a week earlier while traveling. It was still red as always, maybe a little darker. She hardly recognized herself at first glance. But then the features set it and her emerald eyes shown, reminding her the person in the reflection is in fact herself.

Bakura was closing, and it was time for her to leave. To whatever fate has for her.

Tag: Alex, Jess, Kyp Sara’s here! What she’s describing as a meeting place is a memorabilia statue of when human settlers gave medicine to the Kurtzens, of which suffered from a degenerative genetic disorder, of which the medicine helped to stabilize their population. The Kurtzens were grateful and this statue (non-canon, but should be there nonetheless) was erected to honor it.

Sara walked the streets of Salis D’aar. Her arms chilled in a brief breeze. She wore a dark nerf-leather vest, zipped up only halfway and over a gray t-shirt. Her lightsaber dangled boldly from her brown belt, her two DC-17 was now one. She sold one of her DC-17s to get on the passenger transport, and had a little less than a few credits in her pocket. Did it really matter? She could do what she always did and scrounge up credits for another trip. Or she could stay in the forests here on Bakura, she certainly was used to it after being on Kashyyyk for years, and it’d be a piece of Corellian Pie to live there with that kind of experience.

Salis D’aar was lit blue, she had walked through all the different areas of the city, named circles. She had gone through the red lit outer circle, the yellow lit middle circle, and here she was in the inner circle. Surely she’d find the statue from her vision here. Airspeeder traffic soared overhead, tourists clogged the streets, and citizens commuted to their workplaces. Everything was normal, the course of everyday life. A life she missed.
At times it seemed like it was hectic, that everyday was a hard struggle. That was her train of thought before she got her abilities. Now she had to practice self-control of her powers, keep them in check. She felt above everyone else, she didn’t like it.

Sara shook her head and exhaled her held breath. She was at the statue in her vision. She didn’t pay mind in checking what it was called, all she could do was sit on the closest bench to it, wait and meditate.

Wait. Sara thought to herself. That…feel. Tseneca? Her eyes slowly opened and she looked around the statue’s base, scanning for Tseneca and the crew. There wasn’t even a glimpse of them, but she could clearly feel her. Figuring it was her abilities acting up again, she was going to dismiss it. But she could feel Tseneca’s presence getting closer to her, still far away but closing. She was on approach, or entering the city she didn’t know. All she knew was that the crew was here and her vision was partially correct. Right planet, wrong location.

Sara pulled her comlink up and activated it, the first time she had in a while. Two weeks even. Jonas was still gone from her contact list, it had helped her cope with him and Lucas, and she had put him behind her. What was that matter with getting in contact with Badim’s friends? She certainly couldn’t call them her friends, yet at least.
Tseneca? Is that you?” She said into the comlink, and waited.

Alisson moved through the corridors of the small Blight Leaper. She met Lucas at the ramp, and they parted well before the rest of the crew. A few medical droids had been waiting, no doubt to assess and begin work on both Sethe and the injured Jedi Master. Her ocular implants adjusted to the sunlight, they had arrived fresh in the afternoon. The spaceport was buzzing with activity, many travelers either preparing for departure or just arriving much like they had. Merchants cruised the hangar holding out overpriced trinkets, most were poorly made, but such was the beggars life. Alisson cruised behind her young master, his walk was steady as he passed and ignored the many pleas of the market. Voices shouted in many different languages various bits of information, ranging from prices to vulgar slurs.

Bakura was a wealthy outer rim world, but it harbored the many different forms of life, and the space port was a hub for these individuals. Each had a different walk, tone, and attitude when it came to interaction, probably what fascinated Alisson the most. Lucas continued through the last of the spacedock, until they reached a speeder lane. Lines of common folk taxi, and at the end, a luxury speeder. It was sleek, black with tinted windows, and a pretty woman standing with her fingers overlapping each other. Her slender bend dipped as she opened the door.

It wasn't like Lucas to take the most extravagant vehicle, but she did not mind the sterile nature of the interior. Lucas took the liberty of pouring two glasses, handing one over, then sipping from the second glass. She sipped in silence as the speeder lifted from the ground. The feeling of flight had been adapted in most individuals, only the most sensitive would experience airsickness. The rumors of intergalactic superstar Ann Berlin, being the most famous on record. Alisson enjoyed the sensation. The change and flutter of her body as it soared among the clouds.

Their communicators beeped, it was Jonas. Lucas disabled his entirely, before pocketing the device. He did not retrieve it for the duration of their ride.

The Bakuran city scape was colorful, bringing in a sense of serenity that had been widely explored by her programming. Peace, was a concept she had difficulty understanding, outside her own body. After all, she was built into perfection, each component and biological adaptation working in perfect sync. She wouldn't grow old, nor mimic the violent tendency of illness, like the others. Outside her artificiality, the natural world was chaotic.

Alisson checked her chrono, it had been nearly forty minutes since they left the Blight Leaper, and he had barely said a word until now. "I never understood why you bought one of those?" He was pointing at her watch. Alisson thought curiously on his words. She did not require one, her own biological clock was perfectly attuned and well integrated with an artificial meter.

"I enjoy replicating humanoid actions, including checking time. Lucas, where are we going, and why have we travelled so far from the rest of the crew?" She did not mind, but she believed in being kept in the loop.

"I needed to get away from Master Durron, I need to meditate."

"And Jonas?"

"With Rylii now." He looked out the window, "Which is fine, I'm not angry. I just need to think. Something is on this planet, or, something is coming. I think a moment is approaching, one that will define who I am... who I will become."

Alisson reflected on this. The Force had been a thorn in her understanding the natural world. It was unpredictable, erratic and incredibly frustrating. Lucas had taught her ways to deal with it, but it still wrecked havoc on her understanding of the Pallanen children. "Lucas, I will stand by your side. You could be as terrible as Nico, but I'd support you. Do anything you requested of me."

He remained silent, but this piece of information seemed to be absorbed into his thinking.

She continued, "We are family, Lucas. And we have to look out for each other. Jonas will return to you. Rylii comes from a sly family, and is probably using him to get to you. Have you considered that?"

"Rylii and I have come to our own understanding. It is fine, I just need to meditate, before I rejoin the group."

Alisson nodded, and didn't speak a word for the duration of their travels. They followed the Western River, until a certain point when the driver took them lower and stopped on an abandoned bridge. Lucas stepped out. "Pick me up in a couple of hours."

"I understand." Alisson closed the door. It was difficult leaving him here, out in the middle of no where, but she complied. The driver was asked to leave and wait a few clicks south of his position. After a moment, she remembered Lucas would know where they'd be 'hiding'. Even though out of human sight, his senses were much more advanced than the average human male. "Take us back to the city. We'll return for him later tonight."

Time and space was undefined in meditation. He was beginning to understand something, something strange and different that was happening to him. He wasn't sure what it meant, or where it came from, but it was there. Maybe it had always been there, waiting for the right moment, before springing forth. Or perhaps it was like bacta, requiring just the right hand and cultivation... either way, the darkness was brewing beneath his skin and soul, and while he was able to guard others from spying on this, Master Durron was a different story. His abilities were... advanced...

Lucas dipped his head, though his spirit had been much further away from physical body. He was searching for Anakin Solo. His Jedi Master had been oddly silent in the last few days, and Lucas had tried not to search or contact him over the course of the events since Bespin. His master had experience with the darkness of the Force, even at a young age.

Anakin was nowhere, yet he was everywhere in Lucas' mind. On every thought, lacing his actions with guilt and further anguish. How could he call himself a Jedi, and part of the Solo's influence, if he could fuel such rage and evil. Lucas opened his eyes, breaking his connection from the galaxy. A taxi cab was approaching, and it wasn't Alisson. Lucas put his hand on the lightsaber's hilt, he had about a minute and half before the cab would land...

Making no attempt to conceal himself, Lucas pondered this moment. He was about to go back on everything his family had taught him. His entire lifestyle was about to change. His brothers and sister could never forgive him... Lucas smiled, the thought of Damian's remorse and disgust. But the emotion stung as Bella came into thought, and moreso with Kristopher. Kris was so young, so naive. Their mother had kept him well protected, well guarded from the evils of the galaxy, by enrolling him in the Empire's finest academy.

The taxi was green, small red letters could be made out: IN USE.

Lucas was curious as to how this would work, how the secret of their meeting would be held, if a taxi driver could see everything. It wasn't very wise, but she knew what she was doing. She was clever at these things. Lucas removed his hand from the hilt of the lightsaber, thinking his posture looked amateur, almost as though he were frightened or unnerved. It didn't need to be that way, instead, in time, she would serve him.

The taxi circled, before descent and into a graceful landing zone just a few meters away. Lucas turned to face the cabin. A fat man rose, his face unfamiliar, as he spoke in an alien dialect. The driver emerged, walking around the front end of the speeder, and as the taxi uniform came into clarity, so did a long blaster. The man pleaded, dropping to his knees, but a second later, brains and blood paved the fresh dirt, staining the spot he had meditated just minutes before.

The driver tossed the rifle aside, and removed her cap. Vera Nico.

The man's body dropped to the floor, as she cast the rifle-blaster aside. His name was Alim Acopolz, and considered one of the most conservative members of Bakura. Though a large portion of his political salary went to late night interviews with the youth, including some imported slave girls. Her trandoshans were waiting in the wings, one with a sniper trained on the Kuati's skull and the other with a long-rang tactical homing launcher.

"Lucas Pallanén-Davad," His name slid of the edge of her tongue, and penetrated the surrounding air with pristine clarity.

"Vera Nico." His response was cold, distant, but collected. He knew what he was doing. She crossed the distance, even though the man was in several different pieces, she checked his pulse, before sliding a red V.N. into his pocket. It was a photograph of his latest... indulgence, for all the world to see. "Interesting choice." The Jedi said, just above a whisper.

"Davad, speak quickly, I have not granted you this audience for small talk. Is this for the Brotherhood?"

"Frak the Brotherhood. The Queen of Naboo is naive to believe her people can do anything to stop the True Empire. We both know this, so why did you join?"

The noble youth lacked his usual freelanced charm and prestigious smile. Instead, it was replaced with ice cold demands. She approached him, her eyes peering into each of his, before she answered in a long and slow breath. "I speak only what I know." She paused to let that set in, and perhaps, to let him cool down. He felt like he was in charge, but that was a gross miscalculation. "One body can do a lot of damage. I've toppled entire governments with a single shot. Do not underestimate the willpower of a servant to justice."

"Can it, Nico. I'm not here for liberty and happiness for all. I'm here to take down Zend, at whatever cost."

Nico detected something, "Ahhh, I see. The Kuati puppy wants to become a tyrant?"

Lucas's lip curled, and as he turned to face the last stretch of wilderness on this hemisphere. Nico could feel the vibrant passion, the desire for something much more. After all, his mother practically owned half the Empire, give or take a planet or two, and his father, a genius in the business sector. His siblings had made considerable progress in the Jedi Order, yet even under the study of Anakin Solo, Lucas managed to stay... off the galactic radar.

But now, with Zend riding on the tsunami wave full of battleships and Imperial bravo, the young boy, no doubt, created a tactful illusion of heroism... after all, the one that destroyed the last remnants of Palpatine's Empire would go down in history, and live forever in glory. But this power, this desire for fame, was not fit for a Jedi's heart. And then there was the fact that the rest of the crew had been missing. It seems their little game with Micah on the graveworld rocked his moral compass.

"What are you thinking?" Her lips curved into a long smile, her boots closing the last of the distance between them, as they stood side to side.

Jonas followed the medical hover tray, Sethe remained motionless, the medicdroids had doped him almost entirely. Tseneca was close, he could tell that she was somewhat agitated about the fact, and the addition of the businesswoman seeking a renewed Thyferran contract... was not helping. Jonas relaxed a little, Lucas and Alisson must've lingered on the Blight Leaper or left before the rest of the crew managed to disembark.

Lucas was fully distant, the two hadn't been together since Bespin, and now Riles. He was pleasant, but it was something deeper, like his mind had no control. A directive with no override. The halls of the Bakuran hospital were white with a green line stretching two inches shy of the roof. It circled the room on both sides, and lead the way into a large room. There droids and medical crew waited, the green line faded into multiple colors, all leading down different paths.

The Medical Droid communicated with a nearby machine, the computer assessed the threat. They were sent down a yellow path, most likely, a less critical treatment facility. "Tseneca," Jonas broke the silence between them, "I feel like everything has changed."

Tseneca eyes hovered just above Sethe to meet his, before returning to her lover's body. In an almost sarcastic way, she nodded. Everything was backwards now. Things that were perfectly in their place, was now lopsided, likely never to be so perfectly grooved together. Jonas took a seat, the medic droid wouldn't allow him and Riles to continue, despite a short protest. Tseneca disappeared, while the bacta businesswoman took a seat across from them.

She crossed her legs and perked her shoulders, just after adjusting a pair of glasses across her nose. In three quick breaths, she seemed to wait, in perfect stillness.

Riles leaned back, his posture almost completely opposite, and said, "Creepy, that one is."

No response. Either Tseneca can’t hear her comlink, forgot to turn up the volume on it or is ignoring her call. For all Sara knew Tseneca might just be busy. She com’ed her again to no answer either. She shook her head and tapped an option on her comlink. Lucas must have upgraded this thing to it’s maximum, or stole it from some experimental communications laboratory she mussed. Shrugging the humor away, she looked at the small hologram that showed a sphere. Not necessarily Bakura, just a sphere to show the planet she was currently on. Kept some room on the data disc. There were a cluster of dots, one marked ALS for Alisson was traveling on it’s own.
Two, marked TSC and SET, Tseneca and Sethe, were at a Bakuran hospital halfway across the planet. In fact the whole group landed half a planet away from her. Sara would have to take a taxi to get to them. Not out of reach though.
LUC, Lucas, was traveling fairly fast, probably in a taxi going someplace.
KYP, was at a single location and staying there for now. Likely at the Leaper.

She could only make guesses at the last one though.

Sara made her decision. If anything the crew would all see her on the planet if they checked their comlinks, she would just have to find them. She brought out a datapad she had acquired a week ago, held information on all the well traveled Republic, Imperial and Union worlds. Only about fifty of them though. Still she selected a model with the planets she’d likely visit. A Travel Network Device as it was advertised. Though from Sara’s observations it was a glorified datapad. After allowing it to connect to the local TN hub on the planet, she selected taxi services and found the closest one to her. She put away her comlink and TND and turned around to start her journey, when she got a not-so-welcome jolt. One so powerful she almost reached for her lightsaber in reflex.

Salutations: Sara! It is wonderful to see you again.” H6-32 said sharply.

Ten minutes later

Sara and H6 were traveling by airspeeder towards the Bakuran hospital. H6 was telling her a lot of Carratos and his other short adventures with Badim and Clare. The Ravagers, Morgan, and Badim’s parents. Clare sounded like she was cooping with her loss. Though from H6’s observations, he said, the two seemed to be drifting apart.
“But one thing I don’t get.” Sara asked. “Why are you here? Why aren’t you with B and C? Where are they?” She nicknamed the two so she could get an answer quicker from the combat protocol droid.

Recitation: Master wanted me to seek you out, Sara. To request for your assistance in future matters--”

“I’m their friend!” Sara shouted, glad for the soundproof glass between her and the driver. “I’d help them out any day!”

Aggravation: Sara, you do know how I hate it when organics interrupt me. Sigh. Statement: Master had also instructed me to stay with you until you could get the chance to meet with him and Mistress. He didn’t want to rush you knowing your of Jedi training. He discovered I had listened into one of his conversations with Mistress, and instead of requesting me to delete it, he told me to seek you out, request for your assistance and play the conversation to you.”

H6 took an artificial breath and then replayed the conversation.
“Badim.” Clare’s voice came in. “This is it. Candrog’s databanks are filled with it. Subject 001. He went broke over it twenty-five years ago and almost lost his organization. This… keeps track of whatever it is. Not physically, but whether it’s alive or not. It’s still out there.”
“Clare.”
Badim replied. “What’s so important about Subject 001?”
“It’s the last of Candrog’s organization and I need to destroy it. All it’s referencing to is to a few people he worked with in developing it. Starting with a duro here on Nar Shaddaa. Keedak.”
“Clare.”
“Go…get some caf will you? I just need to do a bit more digging. I’ll see you in my apartment in a bit.”

Note: After this Master confided to me that Mistress was being obsessed with this Subject 001. Though all he could do was stay with her through this investigation.”

“H6.” Badim said. Obviously later and out of earshot of Clare. “Go find Sara. We’ll need her help if Clare gets too… Ord Mantell-y.” Sara got the reference.

Statement: Sara, to answer your last question, they were still on Nar Shaddaa when I departed.”

Subject 001. Something sounded wrong with it.
“Anything else?”

Recitation: Yes. Master and Mistress are still traveling together. To a variety of worlds from a list I managed to acquire shortly after Mistress finally left the room two hours later. Though regretfully, they aren’t together. That was the latest I could gather before I departed.” H6 paused, dipping his head with Sara. “Query: Would you like to know how I located you?”

“I can’t believe it…” Sara whispered to herself. Badim and Clare not together? That was bad.
The taxi touched down a block away from the Bakuran hospital.
Query: What is there you cannot believe? I asked you if you would like to know how I located you?”

“Not that.” Sara shook her head and stepped out of the taxi, hefting her mid-sized duffel bag of clothing and personals from the Nova Hound. She moved around to the drivers side and began to rummage her credit bag for the credits needed. Two hundred credits. She was about to pull out the amount when H6 paid the Twi’lek in the drivers seat. Satisfied the driver sped off.
“I could have taken care of that you know.”

Statement: Master also wanted me to give you this.” He gestured a small bag, one she could hook to her belt. She grabbed it and unzipped it. Inside were about ten one thousand credit chips, roughly from just glancing, making her gasp, and a datapad. She grasped the datapad and checked it. In it were a list of names and planets. Keedak was on the list, so this must be a copy of where Badim and Clare were going. Ten thousand credits and a list of names. Very assassin like for Badim and Clare.

“Remind me to thank them when we see them.”

Acknowledged.”

“Now, we’ll head to the hospital and wait outside. We’ll surprise the Leapers.”

Transit back to the center of the capital and the medical facility was completely silent, except for the end. Alisson had not questioned him, and while her thoughts were impenetrable, he had high expectations that she already knew. Lucas thought about what she had said, that she'd be there, no matter what. His eyes looked gravely towards her, and beneath the clothes, the skin, was nothing but human imitation. But it meant so much more than that. She was family, his protector and teacher. "You are beautiful, you know that?"

Alisson moved, the lights of the city reflected across her face in various shades of color. A small smile appeared over her face. "Thank you." She paused, before adding, "Your father said the same thing, two hours after I was activated. It is interesting how much you and him are alike. Though, I am beginning to see more and more of your mother."

Lucas looked away, watching the city-traffic lanes. He didn't want to think of his parents, or Kuat for that matter. He had just made a deal with their homeworld's demon. He'd be exiled, if they had slightest idea. The speeder car pulled up to the hospital, he checked his chrono and then his holocommunication device. He had missed a contact-attempt... Sara.

What did she want? The driver opened the door, allowing Alisson to step out first, before he followed. They walked under the dimming daylight, across the long path that lead them to one of the outside waiting rooms. He could hear H6 rambling about an impressive shot he had made on one of his missions. Lucas sighed, before appearing around the corner.

"Hello." He paused, allowing the pair to take in their appearance, "It's good to see you again, Sara. H6." Alisson also greeted them, she remained to the side. Lucas could sense the Force-sensitivity in Sara now, it was much more developed than before. "Sethe has been injured, well, infected."

It was unlikely they'd find a cure, but probable they'd develop a temporary solution. He'd never be the same again. Lucas felt bad, not because of the man's condition, but because he lacked the empathy, even pity, for the man. "But more about that later, he'll live. What have you been up to?" He wanted to know more about her training...

Kyp had done his best not too wander too far off the beaten path. He always been curious how people got along as well as they did this far from the core. How do I get along this far from the core?

The thought reminded him of the refugee from Deyer. Hopefully she would learn to cope with the world that had become suddenly brand new to her. Live happy. He wondered if that would be possible with the scars she'd developed. Surgery would remove them in time, but the memory of them wouldn't leave so easily.

With his daily dose of fresh air taken in Kyp made for the Leaper and his bed. He still had to decide whether to see the young woman and explain to her who she was......really. He'd sleep on it.

Short post, just to let you guys I'm still alive :)

Rylii opened his eyes slowly, to allow his vision to comfortably adapt to the bright hospital lights. He was reminded of Bespin, and his attempted murder of Tseneca. Rylii felt a small vibration, then another. It was coming from the inside of his left pocket. Lumiya, shit. Rylii made an immediate excuse, around the lines of the bathroom and finding a snack. It took him a while to find a quiet place outside, away from any possible prying ears and activated the holo-transmitter. Sure enough, the old broad emerged.

"Kuat. Is the line secure?"

"It always is, Lady Lumiya."

She took a moment, and he checked over his shoulder several times to give her the satisfaction. Soon enough, she continued, "I have received word that the Millennium Falcon has landed." Rylii avoided the reaction which would have had his jaw drop, instead, his eyes glittered with a mixture of anxiety and anticipation. Part of him recoiled, in fact, a large part of him had. Was he ready for this?

I had prepared for this, he tried to remind himself.

Rylii coiled the hatred he had for the Republic, pulling it back like a spring. He recalled the torment the Imperial Remnant and the Kuati nobles had caused his family over his late Uncle's actions. Lumiya was his ticket out of the shithole, and if he had to throw an old man under the bus to get to out, so be it. She continued, "There are things at foot, Bakura is the fruit basket of many plots, all woven into perfect sync. Play your part, and your redemption will be at hand, young Lord Kuat."The hairs on his neck stood up at the sound of his title, not spoken by his own people in nearly two and half decades. "I have tasked two additional agents to this planet, insurances that everything goes according to plan."

Rylii tried to recall all the details, it had been so long. "Which agent, mi'lady?"

"Lohden of Coruscant, more specifically, Solo Enterprises. His cover is not to be blown. Is that understood?"

"Yes, of course."

Rylii breathed slowly. There had always been jealousy between the agents, all wanting to prove their loyalty and fidelity to the cause. "Remember your teachings from the Nightsisters, there are many Jedi on Bakura, and soon to be more. Mask yourself well, and see to it the Corellian springs the trap. - And Kuat, one more thing, Var is close. Do as he commands, as if it were my own voice."

"Yes, Lady Lumiya."

The transmission dissolved and he pocketed the device. Tarison was a terrifying humanoid, heartless through and through, but his presence only meant one thing: It was time.

Meanwhile, in the slums of Saliss D'aar...

Jase led his Jedi through the clogged streets quietly. An otherwise cesspool of crime, nobody harassed the Jedi. This was due to Jase projecting a feeling of fear of the group constantly. People hurried out of their way as the group moved, not wantiny to be confronted by the menacing feeling.

He walked quietly and casually, dispersing the field as they entered a pawn shop. The heady eyed clerk behind the counter, however, showed an expression of fear and disbelief upon seeing Jase.

"Denora? What are you doing here?"

"Archives, Neils... Jedi and Sith."

The man shook his head, denying that he had anything of the sort. Jase reached out with the Force immediately, both lifting the man in the air and strangling him simultaneously.

"I am not a man to be trifled with, you know this. I spared your life twenty-five years ago. I expect repayment for my generosity."

Neils relented and pushed a nutton under the counter as Jase relinquished his grip. A secret counter was revealed, holding lightsabers, holocrons and other Jedi and Sith artifacts.

"Take what suits your fancy, my students. Today is a day of learning."

Executive Landing Pad DELTA

A small Corellian freighter appeared first as a dot amongst the clouds, two Bakuran escorts bringing it in home. The Millennium Falcon. Probably one of the more famous vessels in the galactic history, partly because of the shared responsibility for the destruction of two Imperial Death Stars. Kalin would've paid anything to have seen them, back in the day. A ship which had altered the face of galactic politics, sending the grand ole Empire to nothing but a shattered Remnant. The hull didn't gleam, like a Lambda shuttle would have, but it certainly had its charm. The girodyne sublight engine powered down as the plank lowered. He half expected to hear the signature call of a wookiee after so many historical holos, but Solo's lifedebt companion died long ago. Instead, something much more beautiful and terrifying emerged.

Leia. Even in her older years, she was beautiful. He had to give it to the old Corellian, he did something right back in the day.

"It is unfortunate she decided to tag along." Lumiya was using a Force-phantom to communicate, her beautiful, long crimson hair fluttering against the higher-altitude winds. "Disgusting witch.." They were still a distance away, as Lumiya vanished, her voice lingering on the edge of his ears. "Be mindful around Organa, recall your training, and you should do fine."

The last of her essence disappeared, and he never felt more alone. On Coruscant, he was more in his element, he could strike Han at any time, but here, he didn't know the terrain. He pushed the panic aside, and quickly gained control. He silenced his thoughts, his intentions, while surfacing some of the more happier moments. He tried to remember the way Shira looked, the way she smelled and felt. The couple had paused for a while, no doubt the Bakurans were lushing, groveling over their appearance. Governments loved, or hated, the pair. Solo Enterprises had been doing well in this sector, but the little mishap with a few of the captains made matters a little... convenient, at least for Lumiya.

Figuring now was a good time, Kalin clutched his S.E. data pad and jogged to their position. "Mr. Solo! Mr. Solo-" then he remembered what the old man had said back in his office, "Han! Han!"

Just for the new readers, Lumiya uses her ability to manipulate phantoms to communicate with some of her agents. In Kalin's case, she casts herself, only she appears 23. He doesn't know that she is half-cyborgish and...old.

Han had been to enough political functions over the years to know what kind of procedures to expect and how to react in a given situation. One thing he learned very early on while traveling with Leia was always to expect some sort of stuck-up public relations officer to greet you as soon as you stepped off the landing ramp. But of course, Bakura had to be different. Instead of the usual officer, they were greeted by a large mob of newscasters, tabloid reporters and curious onlookers hoping to get a glimpse of the famous couple.

"So much for keeping this a secret," Han muttered under his breath to his wife as he stopped short of the onrushing crowd. He clutched the duffel slung over his shoulder a little tighter with annoyance and scowled. "Looks like someone managed to turn this into a public matter."

Leia merely gave him one of those looks before moving past him to meet their press. The gesture caused him to scowl once more, bringing even more creases to his already haggard expression. It was no secret that Han didn't like to deal with the public or acknowledge those that attributed him with 'hero worship.' Leia knew this better than anyone and yet she wouldn't let it go and insisted on breaking him of this habit by interacting with the very beings he despised. Well, he wasn't giving in this time.

Unlike Leia, he started to shove his way through the crowd, purposely keeping his head down and ignoring the constant hoots and hollers to grab his attention. His face was plastered all over the Holonet as a result of the SE incident to begin with, he didn't need to add to it by granting some power hungry reporter an exclusive interview. He'd rather they all rot in hell than...

"Mr. Solo! Mr. Solo-" a very insistent voice began to shout over the din of the crowd.

Han thought he recognized that voice, but he started to react anyway. Whirling around in the direction the voice was coming from, he thrust his index finger into the air and began to rant. "That's enough, godsdammit! I told you I don't want--"

"Han!" the call came again as the source of the voice finally came into view, cutting off Han's angry rant in mid-sentence. "Han!"

Lohden.

"What the hell are you doing here?" he sputtered, lowering his hand and gawking at the young man. As far as he knew, he wasn't supposed to have any assistance on this mission aside from Leia. Then again, the kid was known for surprises. It was what made him so good at his job. But it also made Han nervous. There was something about him...

"Don't tell me you're our contact," he said after a moment, sounding slightly disappointed. "These Bakurians must be cheaper than I thought if they can't even afford an official escort to show us around. Makes you wonder if the cowards will even show up to the talks."

"What the hell are you doing here?" Kalin breathed, his mind flashed to something malicious, but he packed it away, deep within the crevices of his mind. Leia may not have been trained or as experienced as Skywalker, but she was still related to the Grand Master. Kalin flashed him a grin, something to relieve any kind of tension between the pair. After all, he wasn't actually scheduled to be here in the first place. And judging by the facetime, Solo's patience was slightly wearing thin.

"Don't tell me you're our contact," he said after a moment, Kalin detected a tad of disappointment. "These Bakurians must be cheaper than I thought if they can't even afford an official escort to show us around. Makes you wonder if the cowards will even show up to the talks."

Kalin pulled Han to the side, a member of the press had been trying to capture an 'exclusive' interview. Han gave him a look, maybe appreciation or annoyance, but it didn't matter. "Good morning, sir. I took the liberty of flying out here, to be honest, I wasn't sure if you were actually coming. I was going to persuade the Bakuran government myself, if I had to!" He tried to throw the wonderboy in there, not sure if he was actually pulled it off, Kalin switched geers. "Look, Han, I'm going to level with you here. Bakura seems kinda sketch, and maybe it was a ploy to bring a guy like you," He nodded in the direction of Leia, "down here. If they are grounding ships..."

Suddenly, three blaster bolts rang out with two bodies hitting the floor...

"Holy shit!!!!" Kalin exclaimed, watching the first few shots. "It's Nico. It's frakkin' Vera Nico!"

She was making a run for Leia, blasters extended off the edge of her hands. Kalin thought fast, half hoping Nico would take Leia out, and to possibly help, he threw his entire body ontop of Han, pretending to shield him. "GET DOWN!" he shouted, as they hit the floor, his hand intentionally knocked the Corellian's reflexive grab for his blaster......

The long shot blaster was nestled under her shoulder as she used an oil rag to sleek the shine of one of her favorite long distance weapons. She had stolen it from an Imperial Moff the night she murdered him. Her sidekick barabels entered the room, with a pair of trandoshans. She never minded the lizard or scaled species, in fact, she preferred them. Something about their deep anthropological background made them efficient and skilled killers. One of the barabels dropped a data padd, Leia Organa Solo's picture was among them. "Where did you get this?"

The barabel was silent, instead pointing to the trandoshan who dropped his head, he must've originally been apart of the assassination plot. He had been a new recruit, found his way into her political enclave just three months ago. Fresh out of training, he was still a little amateur, when it came to pulling off certain duties. "I dissscovered it an hour ago. The Sssxyx want her dead." The Sxyx Clan meant business according to the pad entry logs. In fact, they had learned of the Millennium Falcon and her course for Bakura.

She pulled a press badge, one she used in her act to 'seduce' the driver of the senator she killed hours ago. A wig was required, but she did not have time to really apply and lock it down. In action, it would most likely fall off, and her identity revealed for all to see.

It didn't matter.

"The Sxyx believe they can go down in history as the assassins of the Solos? No, I don't think that is quite fair, do you?" Nico tossed her companions a wicked smile...

* * *

The press pass had granted her entry onto the Executive Starport. The many faces buzzing with excitement, some hoping to catch a reckless slur or sentence from Han, others looking for wisdom or some kind of political fortune from Leia... Nico waited, her camera housed two blasters, but she waited for the ramp of the Millennium Falcon to descend and touch on the floor before she began to casually disassemble and retrieve them. Han was pulled aside, some kid managed to get to him, but he was safely tucked away, one less body to worry about. Leia was being hammered with affection and questions, but she didn't catch the breaking of trance from two of the security guards.

Nico pulled out her weapon, and shot them both dead. Her third shot missed, and she bolted for Leia. In the process, her wig flew off, revealing the shaved signature of who she truly was. Someone shouted, "Holy frak, its Nico!", "RUN", "GET DOWN".

Leia was mostly defenseless, not that some of the press tried to defend her, others tried to capture every moment, but those men were brave as they were few. Nico pointed blasters to any that hovered around the once upon a time Chief of State. "Get the frak out of the way." To Leia, "I am here to save you, there is a third gunner..." She managed to say before diving onto the Alderaan woman. Three red shots grazed where they were once standing, as spaceport security shot him dead.

Security was wise enough to surround and cut off all possible routes of escape. Nico flashed a smile, tossed her blasters aside, and surrendered immediately...

Sara sensed Lucas coming. She’d have to face the music with him. Maybe if he could have felt the sincerity in her words back on Thyferra, there wouldn’t be hostility between them. Or specifically, towards her. She took in a deep breath and exhaled her worries out. There is no emotion, there is peace.
Query: Sara, is there something-” H6 tried to get out, then there was that familiar Kuati accent speaking to them in that superior tone of voice. Lucas.

“Hello.” He addressed them, making a noticeable pause for the two to make notice of him. He hadn’t changed a bit since she last saw him almost a month ago. Had it really been that long? “It’s good to see you again, Sara. H6.” He nodded to both of them, though he kept a few feet away from the two, obviously not pleased with Sara suddenly appearing again despite his greetings. He certainly didn’t back it up with any sort of happiness.

“Lucas.” Sara said, then of all people, Alisson appeared around the corner behind Lucas. “Alisson!” Sara said gleefully and with a smile, larger than the one she had been showing to Lucas. “It’s good to see you both.” Sara still couldn’t sense anything from Alisson, a month had gone by and there was still no sort of Force eminence from her. Sara buried it for now, and would ask Alisson about this problem privately later.

Sara grabbed her comlink, accidentally jingling her lightsaber and making it glint in the sunlight. Though knowing Lucas she knew he had already taken that into account. She waved the comlink in the air, “I’m seeing Sethe and Tseneca are in the hospital, is there something wrong?”

"Sethe has been injured, well, infected." Sara’s hand holding the comlink slowly dropped, after realizing it wasn’t just a checkup on Tseneca’s pregnancy. "But more about that later, he'll live. What have you been up to?"

Sara sighed in relief, at least it wasn’t terminal. “Training. Traveling alone. I was under a sort of tutor for a while. Sean Tavell, if you know him. Taught me the basics before, well we had to split ways. He started messing with me in ways I didn’t want to be messed it. I’ve basically just been meditating up until I came here and picked up your comlink signals here.” She left out the part of the vision, if it was wrong about one part, being the location, it certainly had to be wrong entirely. So she left it out. “Of course, I did run into H6 here, but Badim and Clare are elsewhere, searching for something of Candrog’s.”

“How are they?” Alisson asked.

Query: If by how are they, you are asking about their sanity and relationship status? Clarification: Sanity, yes. Relationship status? Not well.”

“What do you mean?” Alisson asked for more information.

“He means they’ve separated. They’re not together anymore.” Sara sighed. “I find that hard to believe though. A duo-couple like that separating is a bunch of nerfshit. Maybe they‘re just in a bump or something.”

Sara could feel that Lucas wasn’t feeling well towards her. She did have a fallback plan with Badim and Clare, finding them and getting back together with them. So she stuck her neck out and asked, “Lucas, I can feel that… We’re both not on good terms right now. I don’t want to interrupt, invade or annoy anyone here. I was just thinking I could, stay?” In the least they could take her on, help in her abilities with three Jedi onboard, different perspectives to learn from. At least until they ended up on Coruscant at some point in the road where she could admit to the Jedi Temple.

Before she heard Lucas’ answer, still being Tseneca’s decision with it being her ship, she felt that watching feeling from Corellia again. It might just be a blind spot in her ability, or she is being followed.

Tarison stepped off his personal shuttle onto the surface of Bakura. Stepping through the city streets of Salis D’aar under perfect concealment from any Force users around. Using techniques he had learned from Korribon, Ziost and many more worlds of the Dark to suppress his dark presence. He gently reached out in the Force to locate Kohden, touching him genially to let him know Lord Var was here with him. He also used this moment to find where Kohden, and Captain Solo were within Salis.

But while he was searching, he was greeted with a welcome surprise. Lucas Davad was here. As was his own prize. Sara Soto.

He smirked. Maybe he could fulfill his Master's wishes, and collect an apprentice. Perhaps sabotage his Master's future apprentice.

It sounded as if she had a pretty bad experience with her Jedi instructor, which was a pity. Jedi tutors were usually the most patient and serene beings in the galaxy. Lucas wanted to test her skills, but thought it was a useless gesture towards her next question, "Lucas, I can feel that… We’re both not on good terms right now. I don’t want to interrupt, invade or annoy anyone here. I was just thinking I could, stay?" Lucas could feel a flush of emotion overcome his body, but logic set in. He wasn't really with Jonas any more, so did it really matter any more? He breathed a couple of times, releasing the pent up jealousy.

"Yeah, that would be great Sara." He wasn't even sure how much longer he could stay on the Blight Leaper any ways. Master Durron might have already detected his growing interest in the dark side, and would no doubt, turn Tseneca against him. It wasn't safe for him on the ship, not for long, any ways. Lucas looked at Alisson, who was handling her comm device. Her connection was a lot broader than the rest of theirs, she could process data at inhuman rates, so she was widely connected to the holonet, and local news. She was interested in something...

"Sara, I just want to remind you, I have no ill feelings for you, at least, any more. Badim and Clare are not the only ones who have...separated." He tossed her a sheepish smirk, one that could try and pretend like it didn't matter, but it only showed how much he really did care. "He is, oddly enough, with Kuat. The guy I brought on board. Not sure how that all happened, but I sensed Jonas had feelings for him, and I decided it wasn't worth it. You could try if you wanted...again."

Lucas looked at her with a sharp expression, it was a bit below the belt, but he didn't mind. A little of anger was all that was necessary now to unleash anything on his mind. "Sorry, I didn't really mean that."

Alisson put her hand on his shoulder, "Lucas has not been feeling well, but you would be more than welcome to rejoin the crew." Lucas tried to stand with a bit of pride, but Alisson was right. Maybe she'd be able to feel that.

Lucas sensed something in Sara, something that was bothering her. "That was what you wanted, right? You seem troubled, bothered or something. What is it?"

Whatever bit of advice the kid was trying to convey was lost as two precise blaster bolts shot through the crowd and found their targets in the form of two security officers. A collective gasp spread throughout the square before the entire crowd erupted into chaos.

Han didn't wait around for a third shot to be fired or to be trampled by the stampeding wave of people scrambling to find cover. He fell into old habits and reached for the small holdout blaster strapped to his ankle. Leia insisted that it would have been unprofessional for someone in his position to arrive on a diplomatic mission with a gun rig and blaster strapped to his side, so he had opted for something more stealth-like. It wouldn't be as effective as his usual DL-44, but there was no time to dig the relic out of his duffel when people were eating plasma.

Unclipping the safety, he caught a glimpse of their assailant approaching through the smokey haze and he began to line up his shot when something slammed into him from behind. The air rushed out of his lungs in a garbled yelp as he fell face first into the pavement, the small blaster skittering harmlessly out of his reach.

"GET DOWN!" a voice shouted close to his ear before Han realized that he had been tackled to the ground by Lohden.

"Leia..." came his only response in a choked whisper as he struggled to regain his breath and move out from beneath the kid in the same instant. He spotted the glint of the blaster only inches from his face and as more shots rang out around them, he strained to reach it with his right hand. That's when the kid decided to move and instead of grasping the blaster like he intended, the sudden jolt caused it to jump even further out of his reach.

"Dammit!" he grumbled as he started to sit up against Lohden's wishes. "Let me go! That maniac has Leia!"

Gathering all of his strength, Han clawed forward in a desperate attempt to free himself from his protector. When he finally managed to roll clear, he scrambled uneasily to his feet and staggered forward at a half run toward the small crowd gathering around the spot where Leia had been.

Collecting the blaster along the way, he arrived to find a small, frail looking woman with a shaved head being carried off into custody. He sneered at the woman, raising his blaster and intending to do her further harm when a news crew stepped into his line of fire.

Cursing, he lowered the blaster, but kept his glare squarely focused on the mysterious woman. He felt a raw, hot anger burning towards her that he had not felt in a long time. This woman had threatened both himself, his wife and hundreds of innocent bystanders. She would pay.

"Next time," he uttered menacingly, shaking the business end of the blaster in the woman's direction.

Sara lowered her head in dismay at Lucas’ remark about Jonas and herself. She sighed and let it out. “It’s okay, Lucas. None taken.”

"Lucas has not been feeling well.” Who hasn’t with the Empire showing their faces again? “But you would be more than welcome to rejoin the crew."

Sara was still distracted, partly, by the presence on Bakura that she had sensed from Corellia.
"That was what you wanted, right?” Lucas asked, sounding concerned. A surprising welcome to Sara. “You seem troubled, bothered or something. What is it?"

“Oh. Sorry. I just feel like I’m being watched. Nothing really.” Sara said as truthfully as she could. “I guess it’s just instinct after living on Nar Shaddaa for eighteen years, then living in the predator infested Shadowlands of Kashyyyk.” She mused. “If Tseneca’s okay with it, I’d be happy to rejoin.”

Sara relaxed, then added. “Now where’s this Kuat you mentioned? I’d like to meet the man who stole Jonas from both of us, maybe give a stern, low-powered saber slashing to him.” She teased, smirked and laughed. Sara heaved her bag, signaling she was ready to follow Lucas into the hospital or wherever he was originally intending on going.

It left Dryas with a feeling of uneasiness watching as Denora ‘convinced’ the store owner to provide them with what they had come for. It was that sort of thing that was making him want to reconsider the way he was currently associating himself with the Master’s academy.

What bothered him more, however, was the mention of Sith artifacts. Especially the way that Denora gave the bothan the impression he expected them to take some of them for learning purposes.

The entire situation left him in an awkward position. The briefly considered taking some of the Sith artifacts so he could try to destroy them later, but with no idea how that might work, he refrained from approaching them too closely. Had they arrived many days sooner, the lightsabers would have grabbed more of his attention, but after his recent dream, he wasn’t sure if that was the greatest idea till he had things better figured out.

Ultimately, Drays resorted to browsing the assortment of Jedi and Sith artifacts, making it appear as though there were a few he might have had interest in, but ultimately he refrained from taking any of them.

The Executive Starport had went from an ass-kissing greeting to a holo horrorflick in seconds. Three bodies laid across the ground, as Han Solo advanced towards his wife. Kalin watched in slow motion as the crowd parted for the Corellian, except one reporter who tried to get a close up. Kalin stood on the opposite end of the platform, furthest away from the Millennium Falcon... Han stopped, his blaster extended, but no shots rang out. Instead he shook it in front of him. Kalin advanced forward, armed men yanked Nico from her knees, pulling her inside of the building and out of sight. New security swarmed the open complex, and shortly behind them were hover carts to carry off the executed.

Vera Nico had been much smaller in person... Not a word nor message, despite the explosion of reporters. For the first time, their attention had shifted from the Solos... trying to capture every moment of what was taking place. A man in a suit shouted into the hovering holocam, "NICO HAS BEEN CAUGHT." It was likely to be breaking news all over the galaxy in a matter of seconds. Next, Kalin watched the old man embrace his wife, he checked her all over no doubt, before the Bakurans ushered everyone inside.

The air conditioned building was welcomed after the heat of the late afternoon adrenaline rush, Han and Leia were quietly checked by a medical team and several droids. It seemed liked the Bakuran government couldn't afford a broken diplomat, not now, not when the galaxy was falling apart. Kalin was inspected as sweep-droid made its rounds, erupting into an alarm as it scanned Han. He made a note of where the Corellian kept his concealed blasters, before the Security Captain waived off the droid.

Suddenly, there was a violent rumble. The building vibrated and the floor trembled. "What is happening?" He heard someone call out, as though demanding an answer from a subordinate. "Is the building under attack too?"

Kalin approached the window, his hands touched the glass in disbelief. Large red energy was dropping all over the city. "My gods." Someone whispered, watching entire buildings obliterate before them. Tremors shook them, shifting their positions entirely, causing Kalin to fall into a female reporter. Kalin remembered her just moments ago, she had been unshaken by the blaster fight between Nico and the security members, but now, she looked terrified. Her voice broke several times as she spoke into her cameraman's lens, "...Bakura... is... under attack..."

This wasn't what Lumiya had in mind. Kalin shifted his weight, leaning against the wall to watch the world burn. Turboblast after turboblast rained over Salis D'aar. It looked as though the major government buildings had been hit, including the major space docks, though it was difficult to tell from their location. Luckily for those in the room, the Solos had used a private dock, otherwise, they'd most likely be vaporized by now.

For the first time Kalin looked over to the relic of the Rebellion and saw him in a new light. "Han?" He whispered, "What do we do?"

The Imperial fleet had pulled out of hyperspace about twenty minutes ago, and in the time frame, Bakura had lost its entire defense fleet. Krauss stood at the very edge of her command deck, watching the last of the Bakuran destroyers ignite into flames, before space permanently cooled the ship. Last ditch effort Rebel starfighters made a run for their command ship, Krauss watched with a nervous twitch as they sailed directly for her and the command staff. But before they could carry out any kind of suicide mission, a firebreaker laser shield blasted the pair of fighters, and ended the last of the resistance force. Krauss laughed, letting the adrenaline flush through her veins, not that she was in any real danger in the first place.

"Move the fleet into position, and fire on your designated targets!" Krauss ordered, turning her body and entering the posts of the command staff. She peered over every shoulder, before she returned to the edge of the battle bridge to stare at their new acquisition. She also noticed a small niche in her boots, something that would need to be fixed later. Her gaze returned upwards, watching one of her Galleons engage a civilian freighter. "Tsk, tsk!" She shook her finger towards the unarmed ship, "No one leaves, no one! Not yet." It exploded, as more pathetic attempts were made to break away from the blockade.

"In position!" An officer called out, quickly followed by another voice from the opposite side of the room, "Firing on target."

Red streams poured from her fleet, all planetside military targets were hit within seconds. Civilian targets included spaceports and communication buildings. Krauss laughed as each new volley disappeared into the planet's atmosphere, no doubt, killing thousands each time. "HOLD" she called out, "That should be enough, no need to deliver the Admiral a badly bruised apple. Give me planetwide communication on their emergency channels."

The communications officer sliced into their hologrids quickly, using the same technology the Grand Admiral had used to deliver her message to the entire galaxy. Krauss approached the special recording monitor, "Citizens of Bakura, your planet is officially annexed by the True Empire. An hour ago I sent two landing parties full of delegates ahead of the fleet, and they successfully met with the Bakur Memorial Building while your government was in session." She let that sink in, her eyes widening as she spoke, "I have the legal right to abolish freedoms and liberties granted to you by the Rebellious scum, and the ability to seek retribution and justice for the high treason committed by your people. The Treaty of Bakura is considered null and void."

She turned away, pressing the mute button. "Launch all the Dragon's teeth."

"Soon the rest of my ground forces will be on the surface. Effective immediately, all ships will remain grounded, and a curfew is in effect... any found on the streets are considered hostile, even dangerous, with intent to disrupt the legal presence of the True Empire. This can be a favorable transaction, Bakurans. The Imperial in your veins know this to be true. Remove the last of the Remnant from your hearts, and the Admiral may forgive you yet. Krauss out."

Krauss approached a private viewscreen where a special forces commander had been waiting, "Lt. Kassity, please report."

"Commander, we have secured all senators, including the head of the government. He has signed the documents. Bakura has officially joined the True Empire."

Krauss gleamed and shouted with joy, pausing only to watch the last of the Dragon's teeth sail towards the green areas of the planet. "Move the ship into a higher orbit, I will report to the Grand Admiral immediately...."
