Summarized Biography:
The grandson of Tor Skirata, Kyr'am was similarly hesitant to accept his Mandalorian heritage in his later adolescant years. Though the prejudices against his forefathers that had been started by Tor's mother had long-since evaporated, Kyr'am grew up on Corellia and identified more with his friends than he did the ancestors he had never met.
As was often the case in Mandalorian families, Kyr'am's parents were both killed in battle when he was very young. He was left in the care of a family friend and Corellian national, Mirsha Orade. Mirsha was not a slave to Mandalorian culture and traditions, but also recognised the benefits of the warrior's upbringing in a galaxy at war. For this reason, she brought Kyr'am up according to most Mandalorian traditions. Wise as she was, Mirsha also allowed her your charge to choose his own path whenever he disagreed with her Mandalorian-styled teachings.
As a result, Kyr'am grew up a traditional Mandalorian on Corellia. It was this bastardised upbringing that lead him to leave home at the age of eighteen. He took a job with CorSec, learning the ways of the Corellian investigative body and honing his piloting skills. It was only when his new life conflicted with his old that Kyr'am finally made his choice. On a mission that ended with CorSec on one side and a heavily armoured and armed Mirsha Orade on the other, Kyr'am embraced his heritage and helped his aunt escape.
He accompanied his guardian to Mandalore, where she presented his with two coming of age presents that she had been saving since he was thirteen. His very own set of Mandalorian armour, complete with pieces from the armour of his ancestors and her ship, the Pursuer-class Enforcement Ship, Tor'ika. |
