Alright, the generic end-all be-all thread for movies, books, and TV shows that you're watching (Note: Music is not included). Please give reviews or suggestions. :)

I just finished reading 'All Quiet on the Western Front.' All I have to say is... damn.

Excellent book.

Currently, the Yankees game is on, but I'm turning off the TV to bask in the glow of my LCD monitor and a fan.

I just finished Knight's Cross - A Biography of Erwin Rommel and I'm reading Dubliners by James Joyce now.

I'm in the middle of reading through the Harry Potter series for the second time, oddly enough. The first time I totally quit before reaching the seventh book, and as my sister still doesn't own it, I hope she gets a copy soon. Just for the heck of it. But she's not home now, she's at some.... uh, vacation thing. And I'm between books 5 and 6.

If you don't want to spend money on the 7th Harry Potter book, find a newspaper and read the obituary. It's more or less the same experience.

I liked the Harry Potter books ... its a pity the movies bastardised them so much.

Yes. My brother just saw the most recent one, and as I understand it Bellatrix Lestrange burned down the Burrow and was chased off by Harry and Ginny, then as soon as the 15 minutes of IMax 3D were over they completely gave up on any special effects at all.

Reading 'A Short History of Progress.' I'm only 50 pages or so in, but it's excellent.

Good Eats on the Food Network. Alton Brown is a culinary/pseudo-scientific demigod.

Naruto- Japanese uncut with subtitles because the American dub makes it sound like the stupidest thing in the world.

Right. And we all know that title belongs firmly to the monster-in-collectible-item-based anime, as well as Dragonball Z. :p

I didn't really like it ... I didn't like the beginning or how they handled Dumbledore's death scene, Harry and Ginny's relationship and the whole burning down the Burrow for no reason and associated scenes.

I LOVED the burning of the Burrow, that scene was awesome. It was great to see Harry and Ginny actually stand-up against a pair of Death Eaters, and the werewolf.

I DID NOT like Dumbledore's death scene, and the lack of action / Snape confrontation thereafter. I was very disappointed. I thought Sirius Black's death was more emotional, than Dumbledore...

They could've scored tears from me, but failed.

I'd give it a 4/5, for failing to produce a glorious death scene for the greatest wizard of all time, and also not really tethering the other movies/books into this one.

As a scene it was good, I just don't like how they cut stuff out then included a bunch of shit that wasn't even in the book. Also, they've completely FUBAR'd everything for the last book, cause in the movie Draco didn't disarm Dumbledore which is kinda one of the most important parts of the entire fricking series.
