Anything you'd like to tell us about the character: This one is for you Mr. Jendob.
Summarized Biography:

Born to his father and mother on Dubrillion, he was indoctrinated through COMPNOR political programs with full dedication for the Empire and becoming totally loyal to the idea of the New Order. In 6 BBY, he forged his age to serve the Empire at sixteen, he joined the Imperial Naval Academy on Corulag and graduated on time at nineteen.

Naval Career

He struggled, however, through the ranks of the Imperial Navy he found it difficult to apply his strategic skills to logistical problems in maintaining a ship, let alone a fleet. Not to mention, he hated to fly. In 3 Galactic, he eventually left with the rank of commodore and traded it for a desk position in Imperial Intelligence.

Imperial Intelligence

This is where he met Ams Jendob, their meetings were usually brief and this wasn't until 8 ABY, a year before he was to leave Imperial Intelligence for the Pentastar Alignment. He didn't know him very well and only through his reports and through meaningless small talk. They worked in two different branches at the time, he worked in Imperial Intelligence proper and Jendob worked in the military branch. The military branch worked on the front lines, somewhere Kestal wanted to avoid, but would send reports back and brief members of Intelligence on specific items. After a year of service, through his political prowess, he became an advisor to Emperor Palpatine.

After the battle of Endor a year later, however, he fell into the infighting that was common at court. He remained this entire time in his various positions in Imperial Intelligence until the death of Grand Admiral Thrawn and the political infighting that followed. In 9 Galactic, he fled the Empire frustrated with court and bored with the constant bickering. He signed his resignation to the Director and left for his position back in the navy.

Pentastar Alignment

This time, however, he was under Grand Moff Ardus Kaine who put him in charge of defending his home planet of Dubrillion as he had requested. When the Governor of Dubrillion proved unpalatable to Kaine, Kestal stepped in and assumed the position, really at this point he had been looking for an excuse to leave the navy again. Until 12 Galactic, he would be Moff over the Myto Sector in the Pentastar Alignment and became close friends with Ardus Kaine. He had numerous discussions with Kaine mainly his plans when he felt ready to fight the New Republic, which he realized would happen one day. He knew him to be a pragmatic and calculating politician and respected his fealty to the Emperor and the ideals of the New Order.

When his friend died, however, fighting for Emperor Palpatine he felt disillusioned for the first time in the ideals of the New Order. After he died, he legitimately wanted to pursue peace with the New Republic.
The Alignment nearly collapsed with the death of Ardus Kaine, due in part to Kestal and his own political allies, he was able to hold the Alignment afloat. He personally knew Natashi Daala from his time as a staff lieutenant for Moff Wilhuff Tarkin and helped transition the Pentastar Alignment as the head for a brief time until it was absorbed into the re-unified Empire under Daala.

The Imperial Remnant

When Daala died, he believed the hope for a unified Empire was in the balance and hoped Vice Admiral Gilad Pellaeon could fill her shoes. He didn't know him very well, never having served with him, but his legitimacy seemed unquestioned and his long service gave him respect among his colleagues. However, when the Council of Grand Admirals learned of this, the upstart Daara Zend appeared. She had been appointed personally by Emperor Palpatine as Grand Admiral before his second death. While at first he personally questioned the truth behind this and the sanity of the cloned Emperor, he believed in her competent military experience and hoped her claim to legitimacy would be enough to make her politically viable. Quickly, he realized how brutal she was, first with the death of the warlord Teradoc and then her vicious strategy against the New Republic.

In 20 Galactic she vanished into the Unknown Region with nearly half of the Empire. He publicly blamed her for cowardice in the face of defeat and carefully measured her actions using Kaine as the role modal for an Imperial leader. Privately, however, he had sided with factions that wanted peace with the New Republic. When Gilad Pallaeon succeeded Zend, he embraced his leadership, especially with the promises of reassembling the Council of Moffs to run the Empire and his promises to bring peace with the New Republic which was badly needed since Zend had disappeared. He helped shape his support using his own political allies he found in the factions that wanted peace.

Under a New Emperor

When Pallaeon had achieved everything he promised and retired, the new Council of Moffs found themselves with few choices. Inevitably, exhausting his political capital for Pallaeon, Kestal was forced to vote for Ams Jendob to be the new Emperor though he had his doubts. He had doubts in electing an Emperor at all, mainly because he wanted the position. He thought Jendob to be presumptuous when he called to be elected Emperor, which not even Ardus Kaine dared to do, and to young to accept all the responsibilities it entailed. His history, however, if anything shows where his loyalty lies. He is torn between his hatred for the New Republic and his hope for the New Empire.

Wait, wait... he became Palpatine's adviser in 9 Galactic... and the Battle of Endor was a year later? :p

Endor was in 4. Galactic is just in-universe political-correctness talk for "ABY" >_>

You could've... until you mention Endor. It's what I was thinking. :p

Anyway, back to nitpicking:

Ams was a teenager then. He wasn't commissioned until 8 ABY. :p

...You do realize we have absolutely no ties to VII and VIII, right? Aside from canon characters, almost everyone's history is massively different... they're not even born at the same time. Unity Ams is nowhere near VII Ams. No secret agent stuff, born several years later... doesn't have a thing for wings or a string of broken hearts across the Galaxy. :p

Also, after reading through all of it... I cannot find any more nitpicks. Sadly, Zara won't be on tonight, so it won't be reviewed right away. :(

Sorry, I should have clarified his time spent in Imperial Intelligence, which was five years after Endor. He was frustrated by the political climate and left to the Alignment.

EDIT: There! Now you can't nitpick about anything! :P

Application approved, at long last.

Getting the band together has been hell. But it's finally done. :p
