Naboo
Quote:
Naboo was a geologically unique world in the galaxy. A plasmic molten outer core surrounded an inner core, believed to be composed primarily of a nickel-iron alloy, with very small amounts of some other elements. These elements were found in abundance in other chemical compositions in the galaxy, but it is the unique properties of the plasma which interested astrophysicists, plasma which the two primary civilizations harnessed to supply clean and efficient energy highly valued throughout the galaxy.

The plasmic magma "seethes and bubbles" from the center of the planet carving labyrinths of winding tunnels and caverns similar to lava tubes of traditional magma flows. Much of these abyssal labyrinths were submerged in great underground oceans, which were home to immense aquatic animals and creatures that were never seen on the surface. Animals such as the Colo Claw Fish, Opee Sea Killer, Sando Aqua Monster, and others inhabited this underworld realm. Gungans dominated these "underwaterways," using them as a highway of sorts between their surface Holy Places and their underwater cities.

Plasmic eruptions found their way to the porous crust of the planet, affecting geographic features there such as mountain chains and plate tectonics.

The surface of Naboo was covered by dense swamps, rolling grass plains, seas and verdant hills. The largest mountain chain, the Gallo Mountains, bisected the largest continent and divided the great grass plains of the north from the Lianorm Swamp and bayous in the south. South of the Lianorm Swamp was the great Paonga Sea, where at the bottom lay the Gungan city of Otoh Gunga. The Lake Country was an area known for its natural beauty, and was home to many vacation estates.

Lake Country
Quote:
The Lake Country was a remote area of the planet Naboo that was dominated by beautiful lakes, surrounded by mountains and valleys. Wide meadows of grass and wildflowers sat among the waterfalls and lakes, and much of the planet's native shaak population made their homes there.

Written to Across The Stars

Badim and Clare walked the streets of Theed, enjoying the sights together while Dorniekke kept his ear to the ground for Janos or Julia. Clare’s head and eyes darted at every corner, brick and window, curiously looking around as Badim uncontrollably did the same. Theed was elegant, as though it were all one large, illustrious palace. It seemed like the perfect vacation spot for the two, rest and relax from their ordeals together. It seemed as though this love between the two was going to last forever, with no end in sight. But was brought back to his earlier thought: ‘What goes up, must come down’. Instantly countering it with his premonition about Astella. The more he thought about it, the more he enjoyed the thought. But now that he remembered his dream more clearly, or more dimly as it were, he didn’t see his cloak on at all. Just normal clothes on, similar to the ones he wore now.

It was inevitable that he would put the cloak away for good at some point, even taking it out in preparation for a storm wouldn’t warrant it. He wondered where it could have gone, but it didn’t stay for long, his thoughts turned to Clare as her fingers wiggled out of his as she strolled to a window. Admiring a toy of some sort, she placed a hand to her mouth as she smiled underneath it. Badim walked next to her, “What is it?” he asked as he looked at it with her.

“I used to have one when I was little,” she replied as she thought back to her childhood he guessed. He looked at the toy, curiously looking at the porcelain doll, it’s black hair and it’s elegant face catching his eye. Reminding him sort of a younger, smaller variant of Clare.

“You want it?” Badim asked as he kept his eyes on it, wondering where it would fit in their room on the Dancing Remedy, and on the Blight Leaper when they eventually returned. Clare quickly turned her head to face him, then slightly nodding her head with a smile. Badim held up a finger to her, then walked into the store, quickly asking for the doll and paying the seventy credits for it. He held it genially as he walked back out, seeing Clare staring at the doll he displayed in his hands. She gripped and hugged it, then placed it in the small, purse sized backpack she brought along and threw her arms into the straps. Her smile grew as her eyes closed, faithfully following Badim’s lead as they went to a speeder dealer, where they could rent a speeder for the day. Their larger speeders were already in use, but Clare enjoyed the thought of a speeder bike.

Badim jumped onto it after he paid for the day and grabbed Clare’s hand as she swung her leg over the seat. She wrapped her arms around his chest as they sped off to the popular Lake Country. He didn’t see anything wrong with the two spending the day there.

Clare looked at the rolling plains of grass and flowers as their speeder bike sped past, her eyes darting, trying to focus on certain flowers to keep her mind busy during their beautiful ride. She looked up at the sun, it’s warm light bathing the two in a glow that made their skin gleam. She laid her head against Badim’s back, resting her eyes as she listened to the sounds of the wind against the roar of the speeder’s engine. The faint sounds of birds made her mind curl in enjoyment, her body cringing at their wonderful songs. She knew Badim was smiling at the sounds too, it was too amazing to ignore or downplay. She quickly shut the latter thought out, he wasn’t coldhearted, she knew that. He was innocent, diluting his emotions in the past for his family’s sake, but the same was with Clare. But he made her stronger, to allow herself to step up against her employer and free herself, as he did with his not long ago.

The engine slowly whined down to a halt, it’s hum barely heard as she opened her eyes and ears to a small meadow, encompassed by graceful waterfalls. Badim hopped off the bike, then extended his hand to her. She looked at it, then to his face: A confident smirk across it, his eyes locked to hers as it shined against the light of the overhead sun. She returned the smirk, then took the hand; swinging her leg over the speeder bike, then she had an interesting thought. She tripped over the speeder, loosing her balance as she fell towards Badim. Badim jerked as he swung his body to catch her, fearing it was a real fall. She fell into his arms, him catching her and checking her over to insure she was fine. She kept here eyes locked to his worried face, until he realized what had just happened.
“You scared me.” he said, locking his eyes to hers as he tried to pull her up, but she wouldn’t allow him. He was confused at first, but again realized what was going on. Quickly they began to roll in the field together, laughing and have a perfect time. After a few dizzying moments, they stopped and rested their spinning eyes. Clare pulled Badim in and they began to kiss, Badim beginning to make his move.
“Not here,” Clare breathed, pulling his hand back to her cheek, “Someone could walk in on us.”

“Like who?” Badim asked jokingly as he caressed her cheek.

“A stupid tourist or something. We can pick this part up back at the ship.” she teased as she pulled herself up so the two would be sitting next to each other to watch the waterfalls. She leaned against his neck as he rested his head on hers, both feeling their hearts beating slowly as they watched the water crash against rocks at the base of the falls. Flashes of light passed in front of Clare, starting out as a single one, then quickly becoming a strobe light as she was taken back to her childhood. Watching the meadow and falls around her get surrounded by faded laughter and blurred faces. A man picking her up and tossing her playfully into the air, feeling it rush past her as her heart jumped in anticipation of pain, but she quickly fell into warm and loving arms. She almost burst into tears when she tried to recognize the man’s face, she was so young, her mind so small still. All she could remember was telling her father to throw her up again.

She looked around as she floated, looking at the blurred faces of her mother and brother. She remembered her brother’s name, Shen. Shen.
“Shen?” Badim asked as he shook her gently out of her trance, “Who’s he?”

She tried to hold back tears for her lost, most likely dead brother as she tried to answer Badim, “M-my older brother…” she muttered, crying as she told him what had happened to her entire family, and about her possibly dead brother.

Badim sat there, dumbfounded at what Clare had gone through: Candrog, The Krayts and now the loss of her family. He possibly wondered what else she had gone through, her wondering what else Badim had gone through as well. Silence fell between the two as Clare’s tears quietly fell over her cheeks, her face scrunching in remorse as she panted and cried. Badim held her, rubbing his hand against her arm in an attempt to calm her. She forcefully held back her tears long enough to hear what he was saying, “If Shen is alive, wherever he is, I’ll find him. I promise you.”

The first rays of the morning light had penetrated the royal bedchambers, her eyes squinting to minimize the discomfort found in the sudden disappearance of the peaceful dark. A small breeze carried through, and prickled the skin before she could barricaded herself beneath the covers. The fine fabric had been imported, a special colony from the survivors of Alderaan had spun them, perhaps the finest material in the galaxy. It had been a reclaimed treasure of their recovering culture, and a gift to her succession to the Royal Palace. A long squawk forced her eyes wide open.

Kleiia, Queen of Naboo and her colonies, rose from her slumber and appeared near the window overlooking her people. It was a little over a year since she had first taken office. The view was nothing short of spectacular. A flock of the long-anticipated Daeio birds flew overhead, their vibrant colors reflecting the sun's rays and enhanced their unique feathers. She watched in awe, the inspiring creatures had trekked all the way from the tip of the southern hemisphere to Theed's waterfalls.

They were the first of their species to arrive this year. "Damian!" Kleiia called affectionately to her Jedi. The covers stirred and the man extended his head in curiosity. "The Daeio Tiias are beginning to arrive!!"

Damian dropped, curling the covers over his head. "You woke me up... for a flock of birds?" Kleiia turned instantly and stopped just before the bed, removing the thin fabric from his body. He was bare, his muscles tightening against the sudden burst of cold air. "Kleiia!" She put on her best face, one used in the majority of her political conferences to get him to move. His feet touched the ground, his hand passing through his hair, before he walked to the window.

"Damian!" She looked at his nether-regions, and then to a nearby robe. He rolled his eyes, and she simply retorted, "Think of the children. They often look to see me, and the last thing I need, are questions and moral attacks." Her tone teased, but a voice of concern stressed this much more important than a joke.

He wrapped the garment over his body, before appearing at the window. Together, they watched the incoming Daeio birds and listened to their enchanting songs of triumph over tribulations of the long journey.

* * *

Kleiia had been placed in another fashionable dress, her handmaidens parting in victory of their trade. Damian was speechless as he arrived, though dared not to kiss her, fearing to smear the white makeup across her face. She emerged in the throne room, her many aides and confidants taking their positions. Topkins appeared rather rapidly, his face mildly irritated.

"We have a couple of tourists tromping around inside Daeio breeding grounds. I've dispatched a team, shouldn't be a problem."

Kleiia was not surprised. Foreigners generally enjoyed the outdoors of their world, but this particular region, was reserved for the national populace favorite specimen: the Daeio. Their harmony had brought the Naboo and the Gungan people to manifest over them for centuries dating back thousands of years. "Arrest them, and bring them to me." She'd have to set an example.

Damian looked a little spooked, but she didn't mind ignoring that for now. Naboo wasn't known for its cruelty nor jails, and these tourists wouldn't see either. But a reprimand and a fine, could be imposed. She wasn't sure how she would approach the topic, but the people needed to see something done, especially to maintain the fine and delicate balance with the water-people. It would be best if the Naboo got to them before the gungans...

The crying had stopped a moment ago, the two were back to enjoying themselves in the bathing light of the Naboo Sun. It seemed perfect, until a set of brief sirens blared at the two. Clare and Badim turned in surprise, she had been right on someone walking in on the two, and if it weren’t for her stopping, they’d be halfway into the act right now. A stout, dark man stepped off one of the speeders, pausing for a moment to assess the situation between the two and wait for two other officers step to his side. He turned to the speeder bike, it’s engine purring as it idled. He shook his head then turned to the two, “Under the order of Queen Kleiia Nappolian, you two are under arrest for trespassing on Daeio breeding grounds. We ask for complete cooperation.” he said as he ordered his guards to apprehend the two.

Badim waved the approaching guards off, “We’ll come quietly, we don’t want any trouble.” he said as he calmly paced towards the police speeders while the two guards escorted Clare and Badim to it. The lead officer waved a third guard to take the speeder back to the renter it came from. The air whipped past their ears as the open speeder sped back towards Theed. Clare looked a little worried, wondering if they had done something beyond trespassing as well. He wrapped his arm casually around Clare, not to stir up too much worry from the guards, “We’ll be fine,” he said, suddenly feeling a relieving sensation as he looked on Theed. He felt like nothing bad was going to come of this

The morning was mostly busy work, meeting with children across the world, and several farmer union representatives. She had promised a raise to all hardworking families during her election, and today, they came to collect on that promise. Naboo's treasury was well tuned, but the amount of assistance she was giving the people would eventually stir the need for additional exporting. Her world had a legacy of living humble, but never poor. Fortunately today, she was able to grant their request. Next time, it would be a different union with a different promise.

Kleiia ate a lovely buffet covered by an off world Chef of wonders. His Outer Rim cuisine was quite lovely, and perhaps, one her favorite meals of all time. The Hutt-inspired delicacies seemed inappropriate for the Queen of Naboo, but then again, that is why she had enjoyed it so much. To take pleasure in things that would question or wrong a stereotype. The audience chamber was next, a time where she’d be able to meet people of certain and reasonable needs, like an extra month’s of allowance or borrowing a public freighter to jumpstart a business. The public service system worked fairly well, and it allowed her to speak and provide directly to the people who needed it. As she had mentioned, the people of Naboo were humble, often not living above their means. Others just needed a little extra “umph”.

Her mind drifted, not intentionally, to her stomach, and then would shift back to the person speaking. Now it was an elderly woman asking for the credits to travel off world and visit her family, who had recently moved to Umgal. Kleiia granted her request, as long as she contributed a holo-message upon her arrival, informing her how the trip went and the glee of reconnecting with her family. The woman beamed and hugged the Queen so to a great extent, Topkins was ready to step in. Kleiia enjoyed these moments, making people happy. Not the bureaucrats or off-world corporations, but the people.

In the later afternoon, Chief of Security, Topkins, appeared. "Mi'lady, we have the tourists.” Damian entered the room, his presence was generally noted at her side at all times. He was affectionate as he was protective. Something must’ve stirred him from the grounds to bring him so close. “Bring them in.” She had said, dismissing the majority of the leftover audience. Her handmaidens emerged, taking positions at her side, while security officers filled key are.

And now, the otherside of ruling a planet...

Clare trusted Badim’s words as they reentered the city of Theed, suddenly it had a sort of dreaded feel now that they were in the back of a police speeder, instead of walking through the pristine streets. It still looked magnificent nevertheless. They passed a few buildings, including the store where Badim had bought the doll for her. She wanted to reach back and hold the doll, having lost her original one during The Death Order’s raid on her family. But the police had temporarily taken the belongings they had on them, making sure no hidden weapons were being taken to the Queen.

Clare had heard several things about Queen Nappolian, that she was a welcomed and well talked about subject in galactic politics, a welcome change from the usual corrupt and wealthy. She had honor and kindness, but could quickly become hard-pressed as with the young woman she seemed to mimic in all of her dealings, Padme Amidala. She vaguely knew the name, but didn’t know much about the person behind other than her gentle, but fiery personality.

They came upon the steps of the Theed Palace, where Queen Kleiia Nappolian resided. The guards exited the speeders and escorted the Badim and herself to the audience chamber where they would make their plea. Clare’s heart pumped as though she were going into battle, and in a way she was. She’d never participated in a court before, let alone be part of the reasoning for holding it.
The group walked past several beautiful statues, involuntarily smiling at them as though she were on a private tour of the palace. But quickly returned to a neutral posture after a quick sneer from the guard next to her. They came to a set of large doors with elegant carvings etched in, similar to appearance to the one that adorned the former Candrog’s Hall.

The guards stopped the two as they waited for permission to enter. It took several moments as they emptied the chamber of it’s audience for the court to be held. Clare’s heart continued to pound as the time passed.

Finally permission to enter was granted and the group filed in. Clare noticed the Queen of Naboo sitting on her throne with her handmaidens at her sides, and a Jedi? He looked similar to Lucas, not an exact copy, but enough to bring up in her mind. She shook the thought out of her head, trying to reduced the side to side movement as she cleared it. They walked up to the queen, the guards suddenly bowing in her presence, Badim and Clare quickly mimicking the motion to indicate respect and hope she would be easy on the two.

Another police officer stepped forward, most likely her Chief of Security, and held out a small datapad and read the report aloud to the small audience, “Clare Velez and Badim Soilding,” he began, reading their names that were willingly handed over to confirm their identity, “You have been brought before Queen Kleiia Nappolian of Naboo for charges pressed against you,” he paused, pressing a button on the pad for the next page of his intro, “You are guilty of trespassing on Private Property, reserved by both the Naboo and the Gungans for the mating and restoration of the Daeio birds.”

The word guilty stun at Clare, and it seemed so with Badim as well by the calm, but worried look on his face. “Please present your side of the case.” the guard finished.

Badim stepped forward slightly, just enough to indicate he was taking the initiative, but not enough to scare the guards and spoke, “We sincerely apologize for the intrusion of the Daeio Reserve, we simply had no knowledge of it. I had never been to Naboo before and was just taking in the sights.”
Clare stepped forward in the same way Badim had, “I have been to Naboo once in the past, but I was so young with my family that I didn’t remember much. I am sorry as well, and we didn't wish to anger anyone.”

They finished, that was the simplest way they could describe it, and they hoped they were on Kleiia’s nice side today.

Kleiia took both of their accounts in, before she had made her decision. She rose, and as she had, all in company, kneeling before her, including the two tourists. Her voice was gentle, but with a firm undertone. "I appreciate the polite manner of defense, and I have come to a decision. It is not our way of life to sentence anyone, both citizen and non-citizen, without a proper procedure of the law, which includes trial by judge. I have omitted the need for judicial oversight, because I have not recognized the need for punishment."

Premature relief flashed across their faces, "I, however, cannot let this particular event slide, without some form of reprimand. Taking into account Gungan laws and regulations, I must abide by their own way of life while making my own ruling. The Daeio population dwindled and were near extinct by the Blockade and subsequent invasion of our planet by the Trade Federation. For a millenia they have represented the beauty and tranquility of peace on our planet.

"Therefor, I hereby decree, that you are banished from Naboo. You are no longer welcomed on our planet, as per Gungan-Naboo Article 54, violation of natural sanctuaries. It is with a heavy heart that I say and enforce this particular article." She was in need of setting an example, and these two were unfortunate enough to come along at such an opportunity. "You will be escorted back to your vessel, where you will be asked to leave immediately."

Kleiia turned to her clerk, and asked her to process their names and physical identities into the defense and arrival computers. "Jedi Pallanén-Davad, please show them out."

Badim’s expression changed from excitement of an easy trial, to dread his hopes fading away along with his relieved look, hidden beneath his overjoyed look.

His only chance of finding out if his parents were on Naboo or not, or if he was even a frakking Soilding… Was gone. He couldn’t do anything but bow in respect, no matter how much distasted he felt for the woman at the moment. He knew he had to respect the laws here, even though he mainly made his own laws as he went. He didn’t plea to stay and find his parents, he knew she’d just throw them out faster, as would anyone. He felt outraged, but couldn’t show action, remorse or any emotion but false joy.

But as she told her clerks and advisors to process their names into their systems, a name stuck out to Badim, "Jedi Pallanén-Davad, please show them out."

“Uh-excuse me, Queen Nappolian?” he said quickly as he bowed yet again. The woman paused her instructions, staring almost annoyingly at him. Badim didn’t wait for permission to speak, “Pallanén-Davad? You aren’t, by chance, related to a Lucas Pallanén-Davad, are you?”

Kleiia dropped her gaze, new emotion flushing through her. Was this man a friend of Damian's family? She had longed to meet them, but his own reservations kept them at bay. She could understand this mildly, but wanted his family to know and embrace the news much like her own parents had. Damian looked at her, then to the pair, "He's my brother." There was a silence, "What is your relation to him?"

Kleiia folded her arms, listening intently to the explanation Badim and Clare would have to deliver...

"What is your relation to him?"

Badim looked around casually, gathering what had happened between him and the Leaper in the past week. He began, recalling aloud how he encountered Lucas in the first place. His arrival on the Leaper, their mission to Nal Hutta, their attempted defense of the Denon Bank, and Lucas helping in Badim’s rescue from Nar Shaddaa.
He didn’t know why, but he and the crew instantly connected, starting shortly after their troubles began together on Hutta. It might have had something to do with Badim knowing the captain of the ship, but that alone couldn’t have done it. He would have to ponder it when he returned.
“The summary of it, we’ve been traveling together and have been through a lot. I know it won’t clear me and Clare up from our unintended trespassing, I just wanted to confirm if you were his brother or not.”

The Queen rose, "This new information is interesting, I have decided to postpone the implementation of my ruling. You may stay for as long as you like, but a map of proper locations and guest territories can be provided." Kleiia walked the depth of the stairs, dismissing the majority of her staff, including security. She felt confident Damian would be able to manage.

"You've been with Lucas, huh?" Damian asked on a more personal level. "How is he?" Kleiia knew the pair were not directly speaking to each other, instead, using their sister as a conduit of communication. It was absurd, but family drama usually dropped to the lowest of levels.

Kleiia spoke with an informal tone, "I apologize for such a drastic measure, we've been having issues with poaching parties. Daeio eggs have become quite the underworld delicacy. Each fetching an easy five grand." Kleiia walked to the window, allowing Damian to receive the answer to his question...

Clare smiled at the queen at her apology, then simply saying, “None taken,” she said informally, following the queen’s own sudden informal tone. She turned to Badim, who was smiling happily, his eyes closing briefly in relief on Kleiia’s retraction, “We were just enjoying the sights while we waited for our friend to find information on Badim’s parents,” she said as she looked at Badim a little more deeply, “He was abandoned as a child, and just wants to know the reason why he was left alone on Nar Shaddaa twenty-five years ago.”

Badim patted Clare on her shoulder gently as he went to Damian to answer his question. Clare stayed with Kleiia, simply asking, “So how’s ruling a planet?” she said jokingly to spark a conversation. She looked at Badim briefly, seeing him step next to Damian as they casually chatted about Lucas, “He’s fine,” he said, “Living it up with the rest of my friends on Coruscant.” he finished, smirking with an awkward grin across his face.

"Of course," Damian replied, and though they were strangers, Kleiia wouldn't be the only one who could tell he was annoyed. She turned back to the couple, her eyes falling on the woman, before the man. Clare was beautiful, the gentleness of a woman's figure slightly skewed by the toned figure of regular fitness. She'd be able to handle her own in a fight. Badim was the opposite, his physique masculine, but his demeanor calm and peaceful. Kleiia returned a peaceful smirk to Clare's attempted crack into conversation. "It's lovely." She said, almost sarcastically, but enough to know she was joking as well. On the other spectrum, Damian wasn't too pleased, but then again, anything with his sibling seemed to rub him the wrong way.

"I see, I guess I won't keep you any longer. Nice to meet you, Badim, Clare." Damian turned, their eyes meeting momentarily as he gestured for the Queen's hand, "Your majesty," bowing respectfully.

The Kuati man had produced quite the elegant show, Kleiia taking his hand and parting with a Gungan phrase, "H'tao j'fallo." Literally meaning, Blue waters, though it was an omen of good fortune. A leftover handmaiden escorted them from the audience chamber and back to the entrance of the Palace. There, they'd have easy access to Theed.

Kleiia didn't bring up Lucas, instead, putting the conversation aside for now. "They'll be damned if they go near those eggs." She attempted to lighten the mood, but honestly, she wasn't joking.

Badim and Clare exited The Queen’s Palace, Badim’s face enlightened as he looked up. Everything felt fine, the sun’s glistened on the streets and on Clare, not beating down on them like on the speeder ride back. Before the handmaiden left back into the palace, she handed Clare a small stack of papers and a datapad or two, the maps Kleiia must have been talking about. He wanted to look at Clare, to reward himself by the beauty of her face. But just as he began to turn, his comlink bleeped annoyingly. Clare almost dropped the maps as she scurried to grab her backpack to get the comlink. Badim reached into her pack and retrieved and answered it.
“Serdadu,” Dorniekke began, “I know where to find them.”

Badim listened patiently as Dorniekke described the location: They were at a home in the hills, just ten to twenty kilometers from where Badim and Clare were, before they were arrested. Badim cursed silently, he was so close, but now they had to trek all the way back. But they checked the maps and found a path that would go around the Daeio Reserve, with enough breathing room to stay away from the Policing Forces, but it would also double their travel time. Badim looked up at the sun again, it was just about noon now.
“Let’s get going.” Clare said ecstatically as she shouldered her pack and started down the steps, but Badim froze. Sudden thoughts of his possible parents filled him with emotion, mostly preemptive anger. His hands formed fists as he tried to release it, but he couldn’t.

Clare reached back and grabbed his fist, rubbing it gently with her fingers as she wiggled them into his palm. Badim’s fingers wrapped around hers. She squeezed slightly, seemingly snapping him out of his frozen stance as he followed her down the steps and into a taxi.

Clare leaned against Badim as they traveled to his parent‘s home in the hills. It would take an hour or so to reach it, however, taking a far safer and more legal path than earlier this morning was better than an illegal shortcut. Clare watched out of the taxi’s window at the rolling plains again, marveling at the meadows of flowers that adorned them. She was able to enjoy it with Badim this time, as they both stared at it. She felt his heart beat through her hair, he was nervous. She pressed her fingers into his hand to reassure him that no matter what happened, he’d still be hers. She closed her eyes to the gentle hum of the speeder’s engine and the beat of Badim’s heart.

She was quickly back on Nar Shaddaa, in front of Candrog as she threw the dead body of Fabr to the ground, she had dragged the rotting corpse all the way from his stronghold to here in pure despair and rage at the loss of her friends, and the loss of someone she seemed to really care for, and now Rath was gone.

She stood there, her hand covered in the dried blood of Fabr as she saw Candrog’s face ponder on The Krayts’ successful mission. He stood, then paced towards Clare with an annoyed posture almost, as if he was disappointed in the former team‘s mission. He stopped, a fist length away from her face, if he were going to pull something, she wouldn’t care. She was dead now, her friends were dead, the only friends she had ever known or loved. Instead, Candrog extended his hand, letting it hang while he waited for Clare to return the gesture. She looked down at his green hand, trying to find the meaning behind it. She took his hand anyways and shook gently.
“Welcome to my service.” Candrog spoke as he showed Clare to her new living space, her apartment that she would call home for five years, and she would never feel any emotion ever again, until she finally met Badim Soilding.

Clare awoke from gentle rubbing on her shoulders, she looked and she saw Badim, calmly telling her, “We’re here.”

Written to Cortana. Keep What You Steal.

Badim and Clare walked up the steps to the home that belonged to his so called, ‘Parents’, it was surprisingly in well taste, it was elegant and interesting, despite what he had envisioned from the thought of his parents. A woman in her early fifties tended to a garden with little joy, she seemed disappointed in her work, slowly and deliberately digging the garden shovel into the dirt with exaggerated slowness. She was depressed he could tell. Clare and Badim slowly walked up to the woman, then Clare calmly asked, “Hello.”
The woman heaved a heavy sigh, then turned to the couple with a smile, obviously played, disappointment hidden beneath. Badim didn’t know how he could pick these tiny emotions apart, possibly due to him being 1/6th Lorrdian, if he was a Soilding that is.

“Hello, how can I help you?” the woman asked, trying to keep the smile across her mouth.

“We were just curious if we could talk to you and your husband.” Clare continued, clasping her fingers around Badim’s hand. The woman nodded and placed her shovel genially next to a purple-pink hydrangea, and stood with surprising ease. She led the two to a porch, showing them to a set of chairs underneath a shade from the now warm sun.
“Janos, we have visitors.” Julia said while she gathered her husband to join her. She returned with Janos next to her, sitting down themselves on a couch adjacent to Clare and Badim.

“A pleasure to meet you two,” Badim said, “I just have a few questions to ask about your son…” Janos and Julia gleamed interest at him, Julia curiously leaning further in as she prepared for what could be bad news, that her son could have been found dead, somehow identified. She held back what was beginning to be tears, this was certainly the right place, “…About me…”
Janos scoffed, turning his head away, but Julia didn’t detour her sight from Badim, her eyes shining as the saltwater began to build at the thought. Badim outlined the abandonment of their son, and the adoption of himself by Janos’ nephew, Jaalib. He calmly told them how it was too much of a coincidence to not be taken seriously, at how he was found twenty-five years ago in the Corellian Sector, Block ninety-seven, Sublevel thirty-two. Janos and Julia turned to Badim, Julia beginning to tear as she faltered her words, “C-corellia Sector? Block nin-ety-seven? Sub-blevel thirty-two?” she asked, Badim simply replying with a nod.

Anesho?” she asked as she tried to dry her tears from her face.

“Badim, now though.” he replied jokingly, trying to lighten the sorrow, but joy filled mood. Julia cracked a smile and a tearful laugh as she rushed for Badim with her arms fully extended. He had a family now, he knew that as Julia and Janos both came to welcome their abandoned son home. The hugs felt different from the ones Breena and Jaalib would have given him when he was younger, they felt warmer, it knew for certain that this was his true family. It might take a little more work to confirm it, DNA Blood Test, everything and anything necessary to insure that he was a Soilding after all. But for now, he knew he was right by just the sheer way Julia sobbed over his shoulder.

* * *

It was late at night now, Badim recalling some of his more memorable assassinations to Janos, a former bounty hunter himself, sometimes teased as Janos ‘Jackass’ Soilding by his hunting friends. Clare was busy discussing different matters with Julia while they finished the dinner she had made in celebration. Badim breathed in deeply, feeling the cool of the night rushing into his nose, then leaving his mouth warmer than it was, briefly viewing the fog it made against the night air. Janos turned to Clare and Julia, leaning against the porches’ rails as he viewed the two. “How long have you two been together?” he asked, crossing his arms with a crooked smile, bumping Badim’s shoulder jokingly. He knew by the way he acted that he was implying grandchildren.
“Two weeks.”

“Wow, you work fast,” he laughed aloud, “Just like your old man!” Jaxor had told him that Janos fooled around a lot when he was younger, it might have been one genetic that Badim would like to have kept out.

“Clare is…Special to me. We have a lot in common, including our former careers.”

Janos turned to Clare, curiously looking at her as she laughed with Julia, “Bounty Hunter too, eh? Well, hat’s off to yah.” he replied, having a half-joke, half-serious tone to his voice, “So where are you two going to be going after tonight?”

“Back to the Leaper on Coruscant.”

“Well, you gotta have a drink before you go.” Janos asked as he handed Badim a glass of ice cold Mint Liqueur.

“Sorry, not much of a drinker.”

Janos turned, almost dumbfounded at his son’s infrequent drinking, jokingly saying, Who are you and what have you done with my son? It was hilarious, but after a bit more persuasion, he was swayed to drink the alcohol. It was sweet, running down his throat like it were a carbonated drink. He gasped, not realizing he was holding his breath while he drank. Badim turned, placing the glass on the wooden rail as he leaned back, letting the sweet liquid settle as he viewed the undistorted stars. He wondered what was happening to the crew, if everything was alright or if something was going on. More towards Tseneca, actually. Seeing, or hearing how she acted towards Lucas on the Leaper was different, hearing how she used the Force to push him into a wall. He didn’t know she was able to use The Force. He felt something in her, something that he didn’t realize until he met Lucas and Kyp.
But Tseneca, she was feeling more void than the others, something to do with what Nico had said to her. It was anger and hate towards the woman, and with her ability in the Force, it could turn deadly and grievously.

He shook the crew out of his head, he looked at Clare, helping clean the dishes with Julia. She turned to meet his gaze, then gave a subtle wink.

Kleiia dropped a crystal, the piece breaking into a million shards, as it shattered against the pavement of the Royal Palace. The news of a True Empire, one commanded by the devious Daara Zend had finally reached the peaceful planet Naboo's ruling monarch. Her handmaidens attempted to hold her, to embrace her, but the galaxy would never be the same. Decades of peace shattered, just like the crystal she had been holding moments before. Damian appeared at her side, rushing to aide and question her to what the matter was. How could she answer him? How could she answer any?

Her stomach shifted violently, a shooting pain spreading throughout her body. Damian panicked, saying, "Kleiia, you have to relax." He gently put his hands to her belly, closing his eyes as he communed some sort of strength to her, and more importantly, to their baby. She breathed, worrying that her people would fall under the binds of tyranny Zend planned for those who resisted. If they openly supported the True Empire, perhaps, they could escape unscathed.

It wasn't in their blood, however. Kleiia closed her eyes, the cold tiles had been refreshing against her skin, and reminded her of the days her father would take the family to the lakes. It was beautiful, a reclusive area. She opened her eyes, Damian staring into her. He was sad, she could tell. The beating of her heart was too fast, for her to remain conscious.

She could feel the weight of the galaxy. The magnitude of the news. Would her people mobilize to recall her from the throne? Would she be too weak to stand against the Grand Admiral, and her promises of destruction and domination? Kleiia could feel the constriction in her stomach, the stress and the pain shooting up and down her body. A doctor appeared, saying something about hurting the child, and that if she didn't relax, it would be in jeopardy.

She breathed, slower, but it didn't work. The last thing she felt, was a needle pinprick her neck, and dimming of lights...

It had been a day since Zend's announcement, and the entire planet was already buzzing. She'd have to make a decision soon, but she needed to hear from the people. Kleiia rolled over, to find Damian shaking in his sleep. She struggled to wake him, his flesh was warm. "What is it?" His hand rubbed his eyes, before running through the long blond hair she was so fond of. "Tell me."

Damian walked to the window, she could see several specs of sweat coming from all parts of him. "Lucas is in trouble." He wrapped a robe around his body, and accessed his personal holo-communication account. It was a strange model, he had described it as a technological wonder his father was about release. A brunette girl appeared, and Kleiia identified her immediately as Isabella. "Did you sense it as well?"

The girl nodded, "He's in a cave, but I saw faces... thousands of the them."

Kleiia wished she could see what the pair had witnessed, but atlas, she was just the humble Queen of Naboo. She rubbed her stomach while the pair talked, easing each other's fears. When Damian returned to bed, he kissed the protruded belly, before wrapping his arms around her. "Ask him to visit, its time we tell him." Damian didn't say anything, but she knew it was the right thing to do.

They landed on naboo just as the sun was rising over the eastern skies. They stepped off the gangplank, and Tseneca let Lucas lead the way, then Jonas. She and Allison followed.

It wasn't that she didn't still grieve for Emmett, but restful sleep and new conviction was helping the pain like a diamond studded morphine. he had been lost to her for so long anyway, a fact that didn't make his death sting anyless, but rose a courage within her.

She took a deep breath. The air was so... clean. It felt good.
She ran fingers through her hair. It was getting longer, a little shaggy now. It had grown so quickly... She decided to let it grow again, that part of her life behind her now.

Should she have been surprised they were headed to Theed? Or surprised that their exact destination was an expensive hotel in the mid district. Likely not. Lucas had spared no expense.

***

The room she had been given were, to say the least, gorgeous. Tseneca had left Lucas to do what he needed to do, in respect to his privacy, there was little she could follow him around about, so she settled for the suite and a closet full of clean clothes provided for her by the staff. She kept her comm device handy and loud enough so that, should any of the others try to contact her, she'd be in earshot.

She ran a bath. Yes, an actual bath. It had been years since shed actually immersed her body in water (for cleaning purposes) and the very idea gave her pleasure. She turned on the multiple taps, the ones for lather and bubbles, the ones for steam and stripped allowing herself such a particular freedom.

She looked at herself in the full mirror. She was slender, almost too thin. Stomach flat, ready curves. Her skin was flawless and pale with little blemish and anything but a beauty mark here or there. She was 35, an age where elasticity was ready to shoot, wrinkles, stretchmarks and the like. But she had her mothers genetics, and that went a long way.

She got in the tub and luxuriated, even as the steam clouded the bathroom. She let the water rush over her and let her head fall back against the porcelain of the tub. twenty minutes of such bliss past, before the water began to grow cold.

And then the panic started.

Tseneca had had anxiety attacks before, but the onset of this one made her skin tingle. It was as if, below the weightlessness of the water, fire was brewing beneath her skin. Her scalp beneath her hair started to tingle, her fingers itched and she clung to the side of the tub. She heaved herself out, but banged her foot on the tub and fell, landing on the plush bathroom carpet. She lay there as the swarm infiltrated her, knocking her senes about, her eyes struggled to fixate on one spot, but could not. It was as if she were seeing things through a funnel, in some sort of past-time, like a horror vid where nothing seems, or was, real.

She buried her fingers in the fur of the carpet and tried desperately to regain composure. Was she dying? What was wrong? She felt tears in her eyes, wanting the cold terror in her chest, the fire beneath her skin to stop.

Oh gods, oh gods. She thought, her mind racing. Gods no.

She leaned over, onto her side, and was sick on the cool clean tile beside the carpet on which she lay. She retched until dry , and then waited for the torrent of dizziness to stop. It took another ten minutes for her to regain her composure, and then by that time, she could feel the feverish clamminess of her skin, the salted sweat.

She sat up slowly, and then hand over hand, forced herself back into the tub where she could rinse off.

Tseneca scrubbed her face, allowing the last of the panic to flee. Then pulled herself out, dried off on a soft towel and donned a simple cloth shift.

She let out the drain and cleaned the mess she'd made on the floor, knowing full well if the staff saw it they'd report it to the managementf. Then, upon finishing, she entered her room closing the door behind her. She stretched out on the cool, clean coverlet of her bed and rested.

It was the heat. That must have been what caused it. The steam had been too thick, or maybe she'd let the hot water run too long.

She wouldn't tell Lucas, that much was certain. He had enough on his plate to worry about her and whatever mini psychotic episode she'd just dealt with. She closed her eyes and let her mind go, surrendering to the pleasent light of the room and the feel of soft fabric on her skin. And anyway, the episode wasn't to disconcerting, in the grand scheme of things.

She drifted off the sleep.

I left a space, not sure what you wanted to do, I figured we went to the palace at Theed, but if not i can change this post around. Let me know :D

Naboo was close to home, the environment very similar to Kuat, Theed especially. Lucas dropped his bags on the bed inside the royal hotel, Lucas had only booked three rooms, and promised one for each Tseneca and Alisson, leaving Jonas as his bunk mate. The two spent many hours dedicated to exploring each other's range of comfort, and as the sun rose, Lucas realized they had been up all night.

Alisson entered the suite, Jonas was in the shower and Lucas had tried to implore the kitchen and the ingredients provided by the staff. His cooking had always been terrible, but Alisson promptly took her place. Lucas wasn't sure if she was helping, or this type of action had been apart of her programming. He didn't bother to ask, but thanked her endlessly as she spared the eggs and the bacon.

"You were always terrible at this."

Lucas sighed, and put his arm around her shoulders. "I guess I've just always had someone amazing there for me."

Alisson smiled, the statement had meant a lot to her, but something else seemed to trouble her. "I love Damian," The way she phrased it almost sounded as though she had been picking sides, "And something will happen later today." Lucas dropped the eggs on the plates, before pouring three glasses of fresh gauaia juice. Lucas tried to probe information out of her, only to receive a firm reprimand, "Lucas, the galaxy is in a terrible place with Zend back, none of us have really talked about that. We can't just fly anywhere, without taking the consideration we could fall into a war zone, or be abducted by passing Zend battle cruisers."

"Yes, but what does that have to do with Damian?"

"The Queen of Naboo is in a difficult place right now, and bargains need to be had, to ensure survival."

"I'm confused." Lucas set the last of the food on the table, and took a seat. Alisson munched on something, before sipping the remainder of her gauaia juice.

"Just promise me, before you take action, to listen." Her timing had been synchronized, as her exit coincided with Jonas' entrance. Before he could agree or even disagree, she was gone.

"You made breakfast?"

Lucas turned to him, flushing the confusion from his face. "Yes, I did."

Jonas was rather pleased with how things were going with the Kuati. For a while, he figured Lucas had lived a long and privileged life, and eventually, his true noble entitlements would show. Nothing yet, and life was bliss. Jonas scooped a large portion of the eggs, drenching them in some spice that looked mild, only to have his mouth exploding into an inferno. Jonas took several minutes to breathe, and accidently, Lucas took it as a sign of terrible taste.

"No, it's fine." Jonas coughed, his eyes watering, "This spice... is a little much for me."

Lucas took a look at the bottle, and exploded into laughter. "You can't be serious."

Jonas flashed the Jedi a smug expression, and the laughter continued. "Wow. A pinch is considered lethal to many species," Lucas seemed to be examining him now, as though he were some kind of science project. "You are still alive, you haven't moved-" Jonas slammed a fist in arm, though playful in nature. The fresh squeezed fruit juice cooled the taste buds, as Jonas retrieved his communicator. He tapped Tseneca's icon, careful not to hit SARA.

"Come, have breakfast with us." Was all he sent.

If you want, you can post a small breakfast before Lucas admits wanting to go to the palace to face Damian. You can get us to the Throne Room, then I'll take over. If not, I'll continue and get us there tomorrow. Thanks Jess!

Tseneca heard the comm chirp, then Jonas' voice calling her to breakfast. She sat up slowly, evidence of the early sickness she'd felt only giving way to a little nausea and nothing more.

She rolled out of bed and slid into jeggings and a tunic, allowing a comb through her hair and a facewash before heading to Lucas' and Jonas' suite.

She found it subtly ironic that the two had ended up together. As far as she had been able to tell, there had been little or no sexual tension between them, but knowing Lucas it was as easy as one common element to turn foe to friend and friend to lover. Truth be told, she thought it was cute, and a little romantic the way he'd saved Jonas from the sarlacc before revealing his deeper feelings. like something out of a holo. She smiled a little, and tried hard not to think of emmett in this way. She was getting better at it, as the time for grieving was slowly passing.

She rapped at the door and let herself in to the clinking of dinnerware and easy conversation. They both looked up as she entered, Lucas giving her a curious glance while drinking the juice in his glass.

"Rough night?" He asked between sips.

"Not more than usual." She took a seat and poured some water.

Jonas passed her a plate. "Have some bacon." to which she waved it aside, feeling her insides churn again. "I'm... not too hungry."
Lucas gave her another look, which she ignored.

"So," she said. "Not to talk church at the breakfast table, but I expect we have more to do here than sightseeing?"

Not sure what you have planned besides visiting Damian, so i didn't want to speak for lucas. you go ahead and I'll take over.

Lucas crunched the last bite of his toasted slices and swallowed before answering her question, "Yes. Damian is keeping something from me, and I want to know what it is." It was simple, maybe even slightly petty. "Do you know how we can sorta sense vibes off each other? Like even though I'm in my quarters, and you are in yours, I can sense when you are in trouble?" Tseneca nodded as she played with her food, though nothing really entered her mouth. He encouraged her to drink the juice, which she had reluctantly complied. It provided enough nutrients to starve off dehydration, but her body would need food eventually. It worried him, but she was a grown woman, and knew the consequences a starved body could create. "Well, the connection I have with Bella and Damian is like that, but much more... apparent. I can sense what they are feeling from lightyears, even when on the other side of the galaxy."

A large snap and a crunch echoed from a burnt piece of bread, Jonas apologized, and Lucas continued, "I know he is hiding something important. It's like, he wants to tell me, but he's terrified. And just between the three of us, Damian is never afraid. He's always been the token older brother, with everything figured out and faced any kind of tribulation head on." It was a tough act to follow, and Lucas eventually gave up and made his own path.

"So, we came all this way, for some sort of secret?" Jonas questioned, though the question wasn't loaded with discontent.

"Pretty much." Lucas chimed, and scooped several of the berries into his mouth. The breakfast was nice, in fact, since Kuat the trio had not shared a meal together. He took a mental snapshot of the scene, and flashed a smile, "I've rented a speeder, but honestly, I don't think we need it." The Palace of Naboo was literally in sight, and the journey across the city, might do them some good.

"Where's Alisson?" The thought dawned on her, "I haven't seen her all night, since the check-in." Lucas recalled her eerie advice, to listen before taking action. What did that mean? He shrugged, it was probably best not to provide that insight.
