Summarized Biography:

As he was raised on Coruscant, Ares always had an interest in Galactic Politics. He watched as the planet shifted power from the Empire to the New Republic and saw a new age dawning all around him. He knew that his chance to do what he loved was now ripe for the taking.

Although his parents tried to push him into piloting, Ares found he had little skill for the trade. However, his glib tongue and smarts carried him through his days in the academy, and he soon found himself moving into a political background. He spent a short amount of time working in Alliance Intelligence, but he continued to make every push he could to get into the Senate Hall. Eventually, his efforts paid off and he found himself working as an aide for the then current Senator of Coruscant.

He ran menial tasks mostly, but Ares knew his time was coming. Eventually, he had garnered enough support that he decided to run in the Coruscanti Senatorial Election. His charisma and general likability allowed him to win the vote and step in as a true Senator for the first time. He spent ten years as a successful Senator and watched as the conflicts between the Empire and the New Republic finally came to a close.

With the Union now working together for Galactic peace, Ares began feeling somewhat confined in his role as a Senator, so he knew there was only one place left for him to go. In 40 ABY, he ran an amazingly successful campaign to be elected Chief of State of the New Republic. Although somewhat disliked by other Senators of the time, Ares won the vote and would then represent the New Republic in the Galaxy.

Only a year has passed since his election, but Ares already feels as if things in the Galaxy are looking up...
