The night was loud, Commander Emmett Fink had gotten his docking orders without realizing what an abysmal area he was stuck in. It was a fallacy that he should be here, because it was less his job to be stranded on some deep core, god forsaken pitstop planet. He scraped his knuckles up and down the console, not even trying to bury his anger.

This was his job, wasn't it? Just be around, keep his ears open; duck into nightclubs and cantina's and listen? Get in on things and report back with precision, this is your directive. It was fodder of a directive, he knew it and so did everyone else. The Empire was pulling at threads, and as much as he hated to admit it at this point in the game, those threads were key points to unraveling. Zend had better come up with something, anything, better then this.

Emmett reached for the holonet audio controls. A static masculine voice came over the speaker "...together today. They did not just celebrate the start of the year 41 Galactic, for today, one decade ago, the major powers of the Galaxy met on Corulag to sign the Treaty of Unification---" He switched it off fiercly. They didn't know what they were talking about. If any of those republican puppets stepped outside of their beautiful worlds they would realize to what extent peace and unity actually reached. People, races in worlds farther out then these were far worse off then they were with palpatine in charge. Where the Republic couldn't police, chaos was rampant and unavoidable. Drug trade was at a height on planets like Cassander and Mandalore; No one was going to interfere in Hutt space and there were too many underbelly crime circuits to bust with the "ten year" prayer of false security. There were too many planets, too many people, too much brooding and infantile hope that just everyone might do the right thing. The galaxy didn't work like that.

Emmett sat back in his chair and stared at the sky scape, looking past Ord Sabaok's polluted atmosphere at the stars that sat there, unseemingly, beautiful. They each had something about them didn't they. So many beings. The galaxy just wasn't big enough for as many souls and aligning ego's that went with them.

He sighed, reached under his shirt and retrieved his tags and the accompanying holo chip that hung on a chain around his neck. fingering it slightly, he pluged it into the console and typed his code in.

Instantly, a holo of a young girl sprang up. She was smiling and hugging herself in a manner that showed she didn't want to be recorded, but didn't mind the attention. Her dark hair hung about her face and she pushed it back with slender fingers, she was wearing a sun dress and the black toed imperial grade combat boots he'd given her for her birthday. She giggled, and tried to hide her bright blue eyes. "Emmett, stop it." The voice was tinny from the recording, but upon hearing it, his heart gave a dull ache.

"Tseneca."

The console beeped three times, before the computer acknowledged a secure transmission. The lights dimmed, and the augmentation even switched into an eerie bloodred. Selena Krauss emerged over the hologram projector, her eyes glaring at the stone-cold Emmett. The Imperial shuttle, an older less efficient model used only to pass Imperial Remnant territories, and doop the galaxy’s pathetic hope that peace truly existed. Selena’s eyes met with the shuttle’s pilot, the statue Emmett Fink staring back at her.

"Commander Fink, if I knew any better, I'd say you were hiding something," her voice was sleek, cutting the tension slowly, but instead of creating an agonizing moment, she quickly snapped to the point, "The galaxy has had a decade of peace, and fairy love." Her voice was sharp, but was remained rather peaceful, for Selena, "Your intelligence-gathering cell has reached its final chapter. Recall the agents, tie up loose ends, and head to our coordinates. We will help prepare the fleet for its… ‘welcome home’ party.”

Selena's high pitch laugh hissed across the channels, "I look forward to your arrival, Commander, and you better have something to report." She boasted a second round of laughter, and cut the channel before she allowed the Commander to respond. A set of coordinates awaited him, where Selena’s Star Destroyer would collect him, and hyper to the rest of the fleet…

His heart ached for her, his body was tired of longing for her after twenty years of being without her. Tseneca and he had met on Thyferra, she was the gorgeous heir to the Bacta monopoly her parents ran. She was different then them though, headstrong and impatient. She had the spunk her people didn't and he'd fallen in love with her the moment he saw her. He'd rescued her from the hideous fate the Empire had in store for her family, and went against his training to bring her up in the fleet he'd served with.

Now she was dead. He's seen the explosions coming up from Corulag. He'd heard the static over her comlink, the cry she'd given two seconds before the line went out. She was dead and it was his fault. He'd been selfish keeping her with him when he could have easily grounded her on the next hospitable planet. Of all the do-overs in life, that was the one he wished for most. The hologram played again and he reached out, wanting to touch it, wanting to feel her just one more time.

The console bleeped and despite himself he jumped. It was the Fleet. Hurriedly, he shut off the hologram, ran a hand through his hair and switched on the transmitter. It was Selena Krauss.

"Commander Fink, if I knew any better, I'd say you were hiding something,"

Emmett stared straight at the stern, half crazed looking women on the screen. He kept his mouth shut.

"Your intelligence-gathering cell has reached its final chapter. Recall the agents, tie up loose ends, and head to our coordinates. We will help prepare the fleet for its… ‘welcome home’ party'. I look forward to your arrival, Commander, and you better have something to report."

Peels of hideous laughter filled the channel and the comm switched off.

"What an abhorrant woman." He muttered. Then leaned forward, pressing his face in his hands. There was nothing to do about the past, he thought, only drak, ever present, memories that kill you from the inside out.

He sat up and began preparation for departure

I need the last post, the one by Tseneca deleted. I logged in as the wrong character. :D

Emmett lifted off, flipping controls to put the engines in lock with Selena's star destroyer. Suddenly, his comm switched on. It was Vera Nico's intel number.

"Fink...." the was too much static. "...copy?"

he growled under his breath. The empire had better things to do then deal with trash like that. Why had Selena hired her, some low-life asassin. She was psychotic, that Nico, character. He switched off the channel. If she couldn't figure out how to work a simple comm frequency, he wasn't going to waste his time.

He felt his stomach lurch with anticipation, and made the jump to hyperspace.

The shuttle was just exiting the Outer Rim of known space, when Coral saw the flashing red light, before the shuttle automatically dropped out of hyperspace. The feeling seemed to disturb the Bothan sleeping next to her, while Alisson continued to work at the console. It only took her a few seconds before she exchanged a confused glance. Suddenly a holo-image appeared of Commander Selena Krauss. Coral ducked down, hoping not to be caught by some kind of internal recording device.

"Imperial Agent, you have arrived at your pre-determined coordinates. Erase your nav-computer and reset to zero. A starfighter will arrive momentarily and conduct a bio-metric scan to insure there are no other lifeforms on-board. Standby..."

"Shit!" Coral said, "They're going to detect multiple lifeforms..."

Alisson looked over to the Bothan, "Do you have your stealth kit?"

"Yes, but it would take minutes to pre-" His eyes grew wide as a modified fighter dropped out of hyperspace, racing towards them.

"Should we jump?" Coral asked, preparing to jump the ship back to Thyferra.

"No, then we'd lose the element of surprise." Alisson answered quickly.

The hologram began to speak again, "The Security Starfighter has arrived. Lower shields and transmit security clearance codes now." Coral looked to Alisson.

"I have the codes, but they are going to detect us. And if they are accurate enough, they should be able to tell that I'm not a... male." Coral said, "This is Fink's ship, after all."

Alisson shook her head, "Unlikely. The starfighter they have sent isn't equipped to perform that kind of scan. It would have to be something much larger. It might be able to tell if you're human, but that is a long shot."

The bothan was fiddling with his stealth belt, but they all knew it wouldn't be enough time. He looked to Alisson. "Do it."

She reach over and positioned her fingers. She pounded his chest in such a way, that the Bothan fell over instantly. He was dead.

"He's dead, they won't detect his life signature. Now Coral, shut down the shields, and transmit the codes!" Alisson shouted, laying the Bothan down on the floor. "You already know they're not going to detect me, but just in case, I'm shutting myself down for five minutes. You're going to have to revive him." She pointed to the dead bothan, and just as the last word slipped from her mouth, she collapsed next to the furry spy.

Coral flicked the shields off and transmitted the security clearance code. The starfighter waited, dormant for a while, before powering up its engines and jumping back into hyperspace. Seconds later, the nav-computer was beginning to reboot. Only this time, it had a single set of coordinates, deep within the Unknown Regions. As the ship engaged into hyperspace, Coral frantically tried to revive their bothan friend Derrl.

The bothan lurched forward, gasping and scrambling to his knees. He vomited a strange bile, before rolling over onto his back. "Did it work?"

"Yes." Coral said, "Alisson will be back on-line in a couple of minutes, but in the mean time..." She reached over and pulled out a small tool kit. "Vaporize that disgusting mess and clean yourself up. We have a long trip ahead of us, and I doubt it'll be the center of the True Empire we'll be popping out of. Odds are, it'll be a checkpoint station, and a simple scan isn't going to work there... so don't thank your lucky stars yet, as you still might be a dead man."

It had been a couple of days of lightspeed travel before the Imperial Checkpoint Station came into view. It was a massive complex hidden just above a vibrant colored nebula of nearly every color on the spectrum. To the shuttle's sensors, the complex did not exist, but to her eyes, it was sprawling across space. Coral and their bothan companion had been stored away into status, the likelihood of superior scanners and additional, boarded checks were to be expected if they were to proceed to their next location deep within True Empire territory.

Alisson had applied an extremely detailed skin graft over her replicated torso, and in all ways, she looked identical to Emmett Fink. Most scanners would pass her immediately, but there would be a few that she would fail. She glided the shuttle before it switched over to an automatic pattern, steering them into a hangar bay. She ignored the passing TIE fighters, and instead, stared off into the nebula. Even as a HRD, she could appreciate the beauty of the galactic artwork. As artificial light and metallic overtook her view, she readied herself for the inspection team and checked her sideblaster for the sixth time. It wasn't that she was really going to need it, as if they expected her in any way, it was the end of line.

End of line was not entirely true, as Alisson's memories and personality were backed up onto a supercomputer on Kuat, but all the experiences she had up to this point would be lost. Coral would be lost, forever. Derrl would be lost, forever. The shuttle's landing gear had deployed and effortless glide of space travel stopped as atmospheric conditions and a rather harsh touchdown disturbed the previous travel trance. She waited in her seat, acting like she was cooling down the engines, but in all reality, she wanted to be close to the controls.

A pair of automated security droids entered the shuttle, their feet clanking against the floor as they approached. Alisson rose, and they greeted her, "Commander Fink, welcome back to the True Waypoint."

"Do your job and get me back into space." Alisson said, her vocal chords echoing the dead man's cruel tone to the teeth. It stirred a sad reminder of the events on Thyferra that had taken place so long ago.

"At your command." The droids' automated response in unison as they began to sweep the ship. Alisson returned to her seat when the holographic image of the presumed New Waypoint station Commander appeared. "Commander, it is a pleasant surprise. We haven't heard from you since-"

"I was working an operation, cleared by the Grand Admiral. And I'm still working it. You can double-check my authorization codes, but it would be best if I was on my way, Commander." Alisson tried to nonchalantly sound, busying herself with some minuscule task out of sight from the holo-cam.

"Your codes check out, Commander Fink, but I would love to pick your brain on the current status of the invasion. Transmissions are far in between, you can surely understand my curiosity on the matter." He sounded, an unusually thick Coruscanti accent was displayed. It was likely this man, youthful, was a second generation officer and was attempting to sound like his father. Only, he was overdoing it.

"Of course," Alisson smiled in Fink's charming way, "It goes well. Bilbringi, Muunlinst, Bakura, and Bespin have all fallen. The galaxy is divided and in a rash move, the Imperial Remnant has named out an Emperor in a desperate attempt to motivate its remaining territories."

The station commander clapped his hands, "I do say that is wonderful news, thank you Commander."

"You're welcome. Am I finished here?"

"Yes, but one more thing. The droids have reported a woman and a bothan unconscious in your hold. According to security and intelligence records, both of these individuals belong to the New Republic Intelligence and the Bothan Spynet. Why are they still alive?"

Alisson thought for a moment, but a moment in HRD perceived time was much quicker than any human could detect. "Eriga Nu." Was all she said, letting Fink's drawl tone communicate more than what she had.

"Ah, I see." The commander said, a delightfully evil smirk sprawling across his own face. "Wonderful. Just wonderful. The droids will leave and the apprioprate hyperspace coordinates will be downloaded momentarily. Would you prefer an escort? Or perhaps a larger vessel for additional comfort? We have a victory-class-"

"No, no, Commander. I'm belayed as it is. Krauss will have my ass if I fall another minute behind."

The man chuckled, but only nodded. Even here Krauss was clearly feared. "Best of luck with your trophies, and may Eriga Nu provide something useful." The hologram cut out and Alisson leaned back, her processors relieved she had passed their tests... at least for now. She took a moment to mourn Emmett Fink. While Eriga Nu was only mentioned once in a conversation back on Thyferra, it seemed like the best place to start looking for some answers.

The automated shuttle piloting system kicked in and glided her out of New Waypoint, the temporary hue of the nebula bringing a rare smile to her face as the colors danced across the cockpit before being ripped away by the blue stream of hyperspace.

Next stop, Eriga Nu.

Coral was beginning to long an apartment in Coruscant's underworld compared to the enclosed space of the Imperial Shuttle. Alisson was not exactly one to volunteer conversation, which made most of the journey a one-sided attempt. Even the Bothan was quiet when she tried to talk to him. Coral spent her time, when not piloting or looking over data plans, recalling the glory days of the Blight Leaper. Her purpose felt much more like an adventure, than anything else. Now, she was off exploring the Unknown Regions, while trying to locate a prison world that was intentionally erased off most Imperial records.

It didn't matter.

The souls that were marooned to this prison world were likely far beyond saving. She had been to a couple Imperial prisons. About ten years ago, she was sent in to retrieve data files from an Imperial Remnant prison colony. By rumor, some of the New Republic's older, serving officers were still being kept there under pseudo-names. And while she never found those officers, she did learn the meaning of true horror. The conditions and lifestyle changed even the most moral man into a barbaric monster, worthy of the Outer Rim's most savage planets.

Coral continued her line of thought, preparing herself for what they might find in Krauss' planet of horror. She was twisted and mad in her own right, which would make this prison a true hell. Coral closed her eyes, trying to remember the melody the angel of Iego would hum to herself just before bed. She had the pleasure of sharing a room with Firi and always enjoyed her beautiful voice... Firi was probably the only one of the crew to enjoy a happy ending.

Chirp!

Coral fixed her clothing before she hit the side of the wall, allowing the Alisson to step inside. "The Nav-Computer says we will arrive in ten minutes." The blood raced, but years of NRI training calmed her nerves.

"Understood." Coral answered, "I've never really been apart of a liberation before.... during the Rebellion, countless of my superiors had liberated entire sectors. It's strange to think, really."

"It is unlikely we would be able to liberate an entire planet. I speculate a massive fleet presence."

Coral thought for a moment on the prison world's external, planetary, security. One shuttle wasn't going to be able to save too many people. In fact, if they were swarmed by TIE fighters, it would be unlikely that they would be able to get themselves off the planet unscathed, and safely back to New Republic space.

Coral let Alisson drone on about the ship's technical read out, including the fatigue the shuttle was beginning to show, and how low the supplies were. It was a depressing read out, really. They barely managed to get here, which means, they were probably going to need another ship to get back home. As Alisson went over a couple of scenarios, Coral changed her outfit, one after another, until she found a practical, comfortable fit. By the time they had arrived in the cockpit, the blue realm of hyperspace faded away, replaced by the white speckles of stars and a dark planetary orb around a dim sun.

Eriga Nu.
