Alisson took the pilots chair, with Sara aside her. Jonas was not entirely useless when it came to driving a shuttle, but Imperial vessels were much different than the ones used by civilians. When it came down to it, it would take him a lot longer to figure out. Alisson, with her experience under KDY, moved without a second thought, fingers tapping and twisting knobs across the board. Sara studied the panel, before doing her own thing. Relieved they were handling it, Jonas joined the Diathiam and fellow Nal Hutta born in the leisurely living space.

Firi and Dex were close, they had packed light, but honestly, what more could they need, other than bug spray. Felucia was a humid world, and most of their gear, could be purchased at the space port. The types of life they'd run into, could easily be just as dangerous as Candrog's fortress or hand to hand with Nico and her goons. The fact that Alisson made it sound like a nature walk was a little misleading, but she a friend in need.

It took several minutes to relay to the Coruscanti Sector Traffic Control, but the diplomatic channels reserved for the Anubis were always first rate.

Jonas had taken a liking to the Pallanen-Davad lifestyle, often enjoying the luxuries the family had taken for liberty. They seemed a close-knit unit, though, something Jonas wished he had of his own. A surprise came when he noticed the vanishing of blue skies and stars, the elegant glide of the shuttle hadn't even prompted the notion of take off. Rich bastards, Jonas thought with a smirk. Soon, the smooth transition to hyperspace, equally unfelt.

"So..." Jonas popped a question to the loverbirds, "Anything new?" Dex fumbled with his communicator. Suddenly, a message appeared and the horrid transaction between Badim, Clare and the unknown voices took place...

Sara listened with Alisson from the cockpit as they heard the screams, the killing, the dying. Clare was dead, and Badim was in rage. She never heard him sound like that before, he was always so calm. Now… As they continued to listen, Tseneca and Badim plotted revenge over the open comlink.
“That explain how we couldn’t reach them,” Sara said as she ducked her head, “FRAK!” she suddenly yelled out as she slammed her fist on an area of the controls that didn’t have buttons on it. Clare was dead, and so was Badim. She wanted to be with him, try and comfort him in this tribulation for him. But after hearing what he snapped at Tseneca, comforting wasn’t going to stop the coming wrath.

“Is Clare really dead?” Firi asked curiously, sorrow at the loss of one of the crew was hinting in her voice.

No one spoke, they didn’t want to speak. They all feared if they answered Yes that it would be true. But it already was, they just didn’t want to admit it. Even with her betrayal, plotted to take down Candrog, Clare was a friend to Sara. A friend to everyone. She felt like she should be with Tseneca and Badim, taking on the man who killed Clare.

Dex shuddered. Learning the news in such a way hadn't been easy. sure, he didn't know Clare from Adam, but he was part of this crew now, or at least felt he was.

"Jonas..." Jonas looked at him and he gestured that he needed to talk in private. The two walked into one of the smaller halls of the ship, more of a maintenece corridor than anything else.

"felucia is not a very friendly planet." Dex started. "Are we sure we know what we're getting into?"

Jonas nodded. "We have to. For Allison."

"of course, I know that. Its just... The planet is still so politically hot. and then there's always... you know... the supernatural."

Jonas made a face. "Wait a minute... You think Felucia's haunted?"

Dex felt slightly offended, but he was firm in hie beliefs. Legends of Felucia being covered with the souls of hunted jedi, the remenents of the post clone wars purge, were household on Nal Hutta, Dex had grown up listening to spacers talk about them. Sounds, apparitions, the works.

"Its not unheard of." Dex said, slightly abashed.

"Felucia's not haunted Dex." Jonas turned to go. "But your right about the political climate. that we have to watch out for." And with that Jonas left the corridor. Leaving Dex with his thoughts.

Dex thinks Felucia's haunted. I'm not sure what you guys have planned, but i had an idea. What if we run into "supernatural occurences" when we touch down while we try to help allison, and they end up being a wierd sentient species, ghostlike in nature? If not, then Dex is just a kid with bedtime scares. Whichever works :P

As they debated whether or not Felucia was haunted, Alisson was wondering why they had come along at all. She barely knew them, and them, her. She had kept small conversation to a minimum , usually sticking Lucas. Alisson adjusted a small temperature button, the heat pads sending a surge of warm air into the cabin. Alisson may not have been accustomed to temperature changes, but her body had noticed them. Space was a cold place. She looked back, Jonas was laughing at somekind of impression Firi was making. To the side, Sara sat in reflected horror, probably rethinking why Badim hadn't asked her to assist him. Instead, he chose Tseneca.

"Thank you," It was out of the blue, but Alisson needed to say it. Ryan had always pressed the need to express gratitude. Too much, diluted the effect, but always when people put their lives on the line. Sara smiled, it was faint, but it was there. "Come on, it can handle itself for now." The auto-pilot feature was a luxury, and would make all the small corrections needed to maintain hyperspace. Sara shook her head, "I'll need a minute." She had answered, which Alisson conceded to.

Jonas and Dex seemed confident that their positions were correct, both coming from the same region of space, they dived into the stories and false reports. The facts were true, though. Jedi had been killed there. It was a battlefield that had rarely been visited or cleaned up. They had no idea what they would find there...

"What do you think?" Jonas crossed his arms, hoping to get another voice to his side.

"No spirits. No haunting."

Sara recuperated, she didn’t blame Badim for choosing Tseneca for his revenge, Sara was sleeping at the time with her own comlink off. If it were on and she were awake, she’d be with them now. She joined the others in the main cabin to discuss Felucia and it’s haunted nature.
“We should be careful,” Sara said in disagreement to Alisson, agreeing with Dex on his notion of superstition, “I was on Kashyyyk for two years, two months by myself and I saw strange things.” she shivered, thinking back to her first encounter with the Terentatek with Diann.
“Large things can melt away quickly. The Terentatek Diann and I faced being a perfect example. She died because of it when she traveled alone one day.”

She paused, seeing confused faces at her facing down a Terentatek, or better yet who the real Diann Reeves was, “Diann was my friend, and I adopted her name in order to remember her and hide myself from Badim.”

They continued to discuss, Jonas taking a seat as Dex and Alisson countered each other’s claims on whether the planet was haunted or not. Sara took the seat next to him, Jonas looked tired, possibly feeling the same way she did about Clare’s death. She looked at his hand, braced against his knee as he rested. Her hand flinched, wanting to reach for it. But she held it back, sitting in silence, hoping Jonas would start a conversation so they could get to know each other a little more.

"Legends are distinctive of crossing wires sometimes." Firi said. "Most spacer had classified my species as Angels and the maelibi as demons. Its all to do with folklore humans make."

Dex shook his head, exchanging glances with Sara. "Yeah, but this goes beyond folklore. Jedi were killed there, powerful Jedi. and their adeptivity with the force makes them take on spirit forms. What if these are malicious?"

"I don't think we should cast assertions regarding Jedi afterlife without consulting an actual Jedi." Allison's voice was hard. Her disbelief made Dex anxious.

"Allison's right." Jonas said, "I don't think anyone should be assuming. And any way, I don't believe in ghosts. Those stories are just made up so mothers can get their kids to stay in bed while they make hay at night."

"Drekka told me a lot of those stories, and Im not sure if Hutts even... 'Make hay'. Dex crossed his arms, not wanting to stick with a visual as such. At any rate, they wouldn't find out the truth until they disembarked. Dex wasn't sure he wanted to find out anyway.

Hutts were not the type to believe in tall tales, but Jonas shrugged. Drekka was probably attempting to spook the human, not that he himself had believed in it. They were excellent at constructing stories, usually elaborate enough to appear as reality. Jonas moved his hands from his leg, to behind his head. "We'll find out soon enough."

Alisson removed a deck of cards from a small cabin drawer, and tossed two to each. "The game, is Corellian Bluff, the Daboo Card is wild." The rules were simple, most had learned and favored the game when they were younger. Jonas looked at his cards, as Alisson explained the game to Firi. "You want to get as close to 23, without going over. Face cards are worth 14 points, with the exception of the Daboo Card. If you have two face cards, you want to bluff your opponents into withdrawing by showing one of the cards."

The odds were in the favor of those with a face card, as they were less in number. The numbers ended at nine, setting a perfect 23 game. Jonas peeked at his cards, and sure enough, two faces. He lost, unless he could bluff his opponents out of the game.

Alisson flipped her cards, glancing carefully so she'd be the only one to look at the numbers. Twenty-Two. Not bad. Her eyes circled the members of the shuttle, and weighed their responses upon looking at their own cards. Jonas has the best hand, he was sly and quickly covered up his joy. She too, flashed a grin, then attempted to cover it up. She thought she had played it well, but Jonas burst into laughter and rolled his eyes at her imitation. He seemed to be the only one who noticed...

Sara held back a frown, Jonas wasn’t talking. She shook it off as Alisson brought out a deck of cards so the group could play Corellian Bluff. “Prefer Pazaak, but hey?” Sara jokingly muttered. Sara looked at her cards that were dealt to her as Alisson explained the rules to Firi. She successfully held back a grimace look on her face, she only had 18. She played a blank expression to throw her opponents off.
She hadn’t played Corellian Bluff in little more than a year, and her attempt at secrecy failed as Dex glanced up from his cards and said, “Sara’s certainly got a bad hand.”

Sara shook her head with a smile at Dex’s remark, but didn’t reply, any attempt to counter his claim would just reveal the secret. Now was a time to be discreet.

Dex hated card games. Like REALLY hated them. It wasn't the idea of gambling that didn't suit him, he just wasn't good at math, and card games always involved math.

He made fun of Sara because he was bored, and irritated. He had ten. He put his cards down. "I'm out" He said.

"Easy quitter." Jonas commented. Its not that Jonas was a bad guy. Of all the people in the crew, Dex liked him best, felt more of a connection with him. Problem was, Jonas was getting on his nerves.

Firi set a hand on Dex's knee, possibly feeling his irritation. Dex patted it and stood up to get some space. Firi, not taking the hint, followed him.

It was a small shuttle so the community cabin was equally small. Dex laid down on one of the bottom bunks and let Firi sit beside him, she stroked his spiky hair and hummed a little.

"Are you upset because of the argument about the ghosts?" She asked softly as he relaxed.

"I don't think anyone takes me seriously." He commented. "Cause i'm so young. I'm nineteen and people think I'm a child."

She smiled knowingly. "You think I don't feel bad because i'm the weak link on this crew?"

"You're not the weak link." he said

"And you're not too young. We all play a part in this, don't get hurt feelings because people disagree with you because then you really do act like a child."

He looked at her. "You really are the only one who can read me my rights and still be an angel."

"Don't call me and angel, its derogatory." She smiled, joking.

"Muna " He pulled her by her arm down to him, and she rested against his chest.

"Thats better." She mumbled, and nuzzled the soft spot of his neck.

"I guess they don't want to play," Jonas said, shrugging. He flipped over one of his cards, though before the game had a chance to finish, the Anubis sent a comfortable chime throughout the shuttle. Alisson dropped her cards, and with Sara, took the helm. "Felucia." Sara had said, before Alisson broadcasted their permit numbers and request to land. It was granted, the planet operated under extremely skeptical standards. The spaceport wasn't the most trustworthy in the galaxy, and Alisson was beginning to wish she had H6 to leave behind to guard Arlyn's favorite shuttle.

The glide through space was peaceful, as the daunting planet loomed overhead. Sara had mentioned it carried a strange aura, but Alisson didn't feel anything. To her, it was the answer to a defect in her skin.

"The shuttle holds many self-defense programs, but we shouldn't be gone for more than two days and a night." Alisson knew the bacteria could only be reached on foot, and that part concerned her. The native people were somewhat wild and untamed by the galactic community. The fauna extremely dangerous, having adapted to the nasty environment of their home world. Alisson touched the ship down, the tips of the wings folding upwards into a dormant state. "Everyone, arm yourselves, and carry a small amount of credits." She didn't have to explain, as both Jonas and Dex were used of such hostile worlds.

Sara locked and holstered a blaster to her hip. The way she did it, reminded Alisson of Clare. The woman had made the same technical check, before holstering the weapon. Jonas seemed to notice Alisson was staring, nudging her gently. Alisson shifted, deciding to keep the observation to herself. She hit the ramp button, expecting a horde of smugglers and poor lowlives to storm the rich KDY shuttle. To the contrary, life continued as usual. They were hardly a bother.

"Are those real people?" Jonas teased, "Or figments of our imagination?"

Sara stepped out of The Anubis and into the humid, mosquito environment of Felucia. The docks were as calm as any other spaceport she had been to, everyone minded their own business as the group disembarked, following Alisson’s lead. A gleam entered Sara’s eye, originating from Alisson’s leg. It was gunmetal silver, gleaming into her eye as she looked at it confusingly. But for the moment it was there, Alisson had shifted her movements and her clothes naturally draped and covered what Sara considered a knife of sorts.

Sara looked to her right, seeing Jonas at her side, fixated on the path in front of him as he concentrated on where he was going. Sara looked down, seeing his hands again, carelessly hanging from his pockets by his thumbs. She shivered even within the warm, humid temperature. She wanted to reach for one of them, but she feared rejection. This was the only man she had ever met that truly intrigued and mystified her. But she didn't want to get hurt or offend him by the sudden advance. She masked a sad retraction, continuing on her way, just in time to dodge a gran from slamming into her while she wasn’t looking. The gran cursed in his language, then continued on his way.

“Not paying attention are you?” Jonas asked as they followed Alisson again.

“Yeah,” she said, wanting to say, distracted by you, but instead she replied, “Just pissed how you almost won Corellian Bluff.”

Jonas laughed a friendly laugh, his eyes meeting Sara, before he watched a plant open to the afternoon heat. It was large, with a pink interior, the green"skin" a dark, rustic color. The vegetation was thick, and it took them almost half an hour to get to the small boarding station parked outside the thicket of forests. They purchased gear, like gloves and shin guards to ointments that would protect them against the real nasty insects. Water infused with vitamins and minerals, and energy boosts that would keep them awake. Alisson had packaged many smaller utensils, like a compass, and tracking beacons that could be used to return back to the base.

Jonas was happy to be underway, even though he weighed a good ten pounds more than he had started. Maybe it all wasn't necessary, but it was better to be safe than sorry. They had enough food to last them a week, should one of them get hurt, and the voyage back took longer than a couple days. His mind began to wonder, though was quickly returned at the sight of a strange bird floating overhead. It's massive wings beat every ten seconds, it seemed to glide on a wind not felt by any of them.

It was a deep navy blue, with its wings dipped in a beautiful spiral of platinum feathers. When it opened its mouth, a tremendous squawk sent the underbrush into a mild frenzy. It was the top dog, or at least, one of them. Firi had stopped, staring curiously at the creature, "It is beautiful." She muttered, the nature-world had clearly been more of a home than any of the city-covered planets they had been too. Adventure seemed prime in her eyes, and with Dex close behind, Jonas realized he had never seen her happier.

The walk was tedious, and required focus and careful calculation. Strange beetles covered the next portion of their travel. They ticked and tocked, much like an ancient clock. They moved as a collective, building a ladder of branches, all to reach a strange fruit tree. Once the beetles had made it, they'd snip the fruit, and it would crash downwards to their awaiting colony. An army then carried it inside their underground home. Jonas kept walking, curious as to what wonders they would happen upon next...

wonders never cease. Firi gazed at each plant and animal in their delicate formations. They were so... alien. Firi had unfurled her wings, taken to wearing the rustic homespun shirt and bodice she'd worn back on Iego, ones that accomidated them, though, this time she paired them with leggings and military grade combat boots. Out here, in the wild and among friends, she didn't hesitate to let her skin glow naturally, her wings unwind themselves. There was no harm in it, and among them she needn't make herself look more human.

Night was approaching fast on the planet, even as they marched through the thick of it.

"We should find a clearing." Jonas whispered to her. "Camp out, if we can."

Firi worried about allison. For the sake of her friend, she knew they shouldn't stop for very long. Allison set her pack down though, and Firi relaxed a little.

They sat around, taking sips from canteens and wondering what they shoulf do to make shelter. It was easy enough to pitch a tent, but to cast a fire in such humidity and with foreign plants.

Firi wandered the edges of the camp site, looking at each plant and judging its moisture levels. She knew how to do this from living on the outskirts of civilization on her homeworld. She would have died of exposure if she'd not had the skill to warm, shelter and feed herself... that was the idea.

Twilight approached as she crouched to look at a tree that might support them for kindling. It was a brownish orange, which she knew meant a strong amount of iron cast through the soil and perpetrated the tree, its bark, branches and leaves. She broke a twig off, Its smooth wood, brittle and fine, didn't ooz with sap, nor dampen her hand where she touched it. It would do nicely, she began collecting fallen branches, and a few of the smaller ones from free hanging limbs. She shoved small pieces of floiage into her pocket for kindling.

Even as darkness fell, though she had strayed only a little from the campsite, She began to feel the morbid vibration of one being watched. She paused, looking around her, over her shoulder. "Dex?" She said, but she was too far from where they were pitching shelters. There was no one around.

A slight breeze picked up, and Firi enhanced the glow of her skin, her anxiety making it glow a sickly orange. She felt the brush of something across her cheek, and swiped at it, with her hand. Nothing, a cobweb maybe. Taking no chances, she backed away, and headed back toward camp.
