I've decided to take the character back to what I had originally intended: Businessly Gifted She was meant to take over LAMBDA in VIII, but I lost sight of that. But Arlyn wouldn't be Arlyn if she wasn't involved in skeptical politics...

Summarized Biography:

With a bloodline leading back to the Ten, Alatáriël flourished on Kuat. Her parents had both been invested into Kuat Drive Yards for the majority of their lives. Irina Derevko, Alatáriël's mother, had been stationed to oversee the shipyards after Kuat of Kuat's attack, which had been thwarted by Boba Fett.

Irina was popular among the Imperial commanders, favored by most. It was Jack Pallanén that finally won her heart. An aristocrat favored by the Chancellor of Kuat, Jack put full effort into winning Irina's heart. Three years into a happy marriage, baby "Arlyn" was born.

When the de-nationalization occurred, Irina had lost privileged access of her beloved company. Aristocrats placed puppet employees seeping the benefits of KDY exports, making billions.

For nine years, the Pallanén name had lost sight of Kuat Drive Yards, and it wasn't until Arlyn's internship, would they regain access. Her parents had given her a considerable academy fund, and while spending a small portion on education, Arlyn would use the rest for key investments.

In a business sense, Arlyn was a notable genius. She had a devious knack at acquiring companies, sometimes with ruthless cunning. Such an example brings to mind the GalaxyBuck (Coffee and Energy Drink cafes seen around the galaxy) bankruptcy, that galactically, makes on average 301.4 billion credits in profit annually. Many scandals forced operation managers and investors to sell their portions of the company, and under Kuati law, it was transferred to a willing next-in-line investor: Alatáriël Pallanén. At 17, she had maneuvered her way as one of the youngest CEOs in Kuati history.

The GalaxyBuck was a small example of her cunning, and mostly a sideshow. She had made a dangerous gamble at investing in a new holonetwork: KabaKla. It launched with galactic-wide success and jumped to the Top Twenty within three weeks. Her initial investment of 700 million had became a whopping 98 billion by the end of the year, maintaining a steady climb.

These were, however, trivial compared to the sight she held on Kuat Drive Yards. At 23, with nearly 500 billion credits under her name, she met her match: Ryan Davad, owner of Cybot Galactica. The two had romanced for nearly a year before entering marriage. Seven months later, she gave birth to triplets; Damian, Lucas and Isabella.

During her pregnancy, she understood the nature of her business adventures would be coming to a close. The role of a mother would soon be upon her, and as a result, she created the six-month plan. Using her wealth, she bribed and collected enough stock to undermine KDY management. Using KabaKla, the holonetwork she had invested in, she turned the tables on the more stubborn echelons of the company. Some would retire early, leave in embarrassment, or resign and disappear completely.

With the company in public dismay, Alatáriël Pallanén entered the stage. Using a significant amount of money, which is varied in many different media reports, she bailed the company out of Imperial and Alliance hands, respectfully keeping the company under Kuati authority. All government contracts, both with the Imperial Remnant and the Galactic Alliance remained the same.

In a devious move, though publicly seen as graceful, Alatáriël Pallanén had become CEO and the official owner of Kuat Drive Yards the day she gave birth.

The business union of Kuat Drive Yards, Cybot Galactica, GalaxyBucks, and KablaKa, and the many small companies the couple shared, left the Pallanén-Davad family with extreme wealth.

Between 20 ABY and 29 ABY, Arlyn dedicated her time to playing a motherly role, while maintaining positive relations with the public and the employees of the company. Her sharp corporate wit maintained strong profits and contracts that secured her position for another decade.

With the kids attending youth universities offworld, Arlyn decided to enter politics. Using the resources she had available, both her own network KablaKa and other local media stations, GalaxyBuck franchises onworld to communicate to everyday customers, Arlyn became the poster face of Kuat.

She was voted leading Magistrate in 30 ABY.

In 35 ABY the trial of Vera Nico would send vibrations throughout Arlyn's perfect "public" record. The citizens were split, hating or loving Nico. Deciding that a trial of execution would play ill favor opinion towards Arlyn, she creatively removed the woman from public judgment. Sending an agent, Vera Nico was set free.

The trial-debate, however, took a quarter of her followers. For the following four years, Arlyn took on damage control, holding at a 73% favoritism in 41 ABY, an eight percent drop since her entry into Kuati government.

CMAC told you back when you created Lucas that we'd re-evaluate the situation if you ever applied with Arlyn as a PC. So, we've revisited the situation and we found no problem with approving Arlyn.

Also, two things to remember. One, that absolute numbers in this game are undefined - 500 billion credits means nothing in game, but "a lot of credits" is a better way to express much wealth. And second, Kuat is an Imperial world now, so you are subject to their laws and order.
