The weather was actually pretty great. We had two days with no clouds and that's like unheard of in Venice. It was just overcast the other days, no rain or anything. Hopefully you'll have similar weather. :D

Where is Venice in the RPG? Oh, right... *pelts Alex and Cray with flaming baby Ewoks* :p

Eh, we'll worry about being on topic when there's topics to discuss. When do you come back, Alex?

(((It actually snowed in Florence last week, which is rare LOL))

I wouldn't mind a time-jump of about "three months" in game.

Not sure if that is plausible, just throwing it out there.

For me, personally, it is hard to pick up exactly where I left off. But a small jump would give me some room to backstory from where I was to where I want to be currently.

Thoughts?

Personally, I'd rather we not do a game-wide time skip.

I think the problem is that everyone has been away for so long that it'll be hard to just "pick things up" from where we left off.

I know this is rare for me to say, but I wouldn't be opposed to a small time jump. Maybe it'll help us get reacquainted with things and setup a good launching spot for the plot.

I'll go with that. It's hard making things work for Badim and Clare, same with Sara.

I need something to happen with Badim and Clare, it'd also make it more momentous for them rejoining the crew after three months.

With Sara it'd help her jump over getting away from Sean, since Chuk isn't here.

Plus that would help me make some changes to the characters over the course of a few months.

I'm all for it.

It would be more of a time-bump. With the possibility of more people coming (back) into activity, it gives a chance to restart what they've started.

...I dunno. I don't mind a timeskip myself, but... I know Cray. Of course, having said that, he'll come in and okay it. So, now we get our time-skip! Yay! :p

If we do have a time skip, can we at least keep it relatively short? As in measurable in weeks rather than months?

This is just a suggestion, but can we keep all discussion focused around planning the plot over in the other thread? It's getting hard to keep track of everything going back and forth and I already made the mistake of making a post in here that was intended for the other thread. It'll be a lot easier keeping everything together, especially since the time jump thing is going on over there as well.

Doing a timebump or not for this plot is up to everyone in the plot—if it goes a few weeks ahead of "current" time, that's okay. But I don't think it's the best idea to skip over everyrthing and make the "current" time a few weeks later.

*slides in through open door* Im here!!!!!!!!

just let us get off necropolis and I'm up for anything. What happened to the sceptor of Ragnos plot? I liked that....

Oh well, i'm sure we'll catch up soon.

I'm going to be knee deep in teaching, so I'll be a little slow, but i'll post, i promise. Also, i don't mind a time bump, my characters are both self contained and pregnant, so however much time you guys decide is fine with me. Leaper crew just needs a clean, somewhat painless zombie escape.

Has anyone seen Kyp?

I gave him a minor injury so we wouldn't have to worry about him for the time being.

If the whole game doesn't go on a time skip, that could really wreck havoc on the sync of things. lol. IDK if it is worth it any more.

Well, Dahrtag/Tracker plot is done (http://unity.swrpgs.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=690), so even if we do a time skip, im not sure how it will effect us negatively. It would only take one post to say "Three weeks later" or whatever. But thats just with my characters. Other people might have a hard time adjusting.

I put Kyp in sick bay on the leaper....

To be honest, I'd be hard pressed to say things are all in sync as it is.

So a question I have - What's the current deal with the Chiss in all this? Do they have any sort of contact or official diplomatic relations with the Galactic Union? Has their close proximity to Zend's enormous Empire resulted in any sort of contact or interaction there? Or are they just sort of trying to keep themselves cut off from the galaxy at the moment (again)?

That's my tongue-in-cheek, Mass-Effect reference-laden way of saying Daara made an alliance with the Chiss... which is why they've disappeared from Galactic affairs. They cut off relations with the known Galaxy and even destroyed some border stations.

Ah, Mass Effect. My first guess guess was Avatar. Dang it's been a while since I played that game.

I don't suppose there'd be any way of the map showing what makes up Chiss territory, would there?

Umm... Csilla. And... Csilla. No one seems to care about mapping Chiss planets. :p

So a big bubble around Csilla... <_<
