Summarized Biography: Born to a Nabooian father and an Alderaanian mother from the powerful Ulgo dynasty, Fran's life was turned brutally upside down when her homeworld was destroyed. Fortunately for her, she and her father were off-world on a diplomatic mission aboard a Councilor ship. Sadly, her mother—Princess Sylvya Ulgo—was killed in the destruction of the planet.

With a deep, burning hatred of the Galactic Empire instilled in her at such a tender age, Fran and her father quickly saw the Rebel Alliance as the only chance to avenge the wanton slaughter perpetrated by Tarkin. Matters only worsened when her father was killed at Yavin shortly after Admiral Daala reunited the squabbling Imperial warlords. Enraged, Fran forged her age on her enlistment papers when she was 16 and personally took the battle to the Galactic Empire.

Through her unwavering service in the bloodiest of battles, and some say a streak of ruthlessness that wouldn't have been out of place in the Empire itself, Ulgo aided the burgeoning New Republic against the revitalized Empire, and rapidly advanced up the chain of command. By war's end, she'd already made a field commission of Major. For the next twenty years, she worked her way up the senior grades, and openly backed Chief of State candidate Ares Valure. The words of then-General Ulgo secured her special favor with the Chief of State-elect, and he appointed her as Commander-in-Chief of the New Republic military.

Now she serves the New Republic as the head of all military forces, warily watching the Imperial Remnant for signs of betrayal.
