Anything you'd like to tell us about the character: Not particularly. You should all know Luke pretty well. 
Summarized Biography:
The hero of the Rebellion, born and raised on Tatooine, destroyed the first Death Star, responsible for the redemption of Darth Vader and the death of the Emperor, trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda... the early parts of his resume are well known.
Since then, Luke's primary focus has been to rebuild the Jedi Order. It has been a rough process, and made doubly hard on the Jedi Master due to his involvement in galactic politics. However, the Jedi have been reinstated, they are flourishing compared to early years, and Luke seems to have had a little peace and quiet recently which he enjoys as it grants him time to spend with his wife, Mara Jade.
