Summarized Biography: A young child during the Clone Wars and the rise of the Empire, Dathalon grew up in a pro-Palpatine family, with his father a senior political official in COMPNOR and his mother working at a non-clone Imperial Army hospital. The Dathalon family was, however, most noted for the exploits of Admiral Tigsien Dathalon, Hidale's uncle, who led a number of effective incursions into Separatist territory during the Clone Wars. However publicly celebrated, however, suspicion constantly surrounded the elder Dathalon, who had expressed in some circles quiet reservations about the new direction of the Republic under Palpatine's rule. With the rise of the New Order, he quickly silenced his dissent, though many noted that he was still given increasingly low-profile assignments in spite of his long experience and admirable service.

Hidale maintained a close relationship with his uncle, even as his father himself tried to distance his family from his rogue brother. Tigsien sponsored Hidale's application to the Imperial Academy, as was common among aristocratic families under the New Order, but Hidale proved an apt naval officer candidate and graduated a few years before the Battle of Yavin with a commission aboard the missile frigate Arbiter. Shortly thereafter, though, he learned that his uncle had died, apparently of complications related to his congenital respiratory disease that had plagued him his whole life. In response to the tragic loss of his mentor, Dathalon devoted himself with increasing ferocity to the Imperial cause.

During the Galactic Civil War, he would prove himself on several occasions, helping to bring Rebels and pirates alike under the heel of Imperial justice and earning increasingly prominent assignments, eventually becoming a junior officer on the vessel of one Alister Mako, who had been a close friend to his uncle. Over the next few years, Dathalon participated in many of the Empire's triumphs and defeats alike, until the Emperor's death at Endor and the destruction of the Death Star.

Throughout the turbulent warlord period, Dathalon remained under Mako's command. With the rise of Admiral Zend and the Second Civil War, Dathalon once again found himself thrust onto the front lines, eventually being promoted to his own command. He remained devoted to what many considered the true Empire and welcomed the strong leader represented by Grand Admiral Zend.

However, a year prior to Zend's disappearance, Dathalon learned a terrible secret - his uncle had not died of illness but had been murdered by Mako on Palpatine's orders. Infuriated, Dathalon distanced himself from Mako, and found himself questioning Zend's rule - was he willing to serve an Empire that supported such black ops tactics to silence loyal dissent?

Eventually, he supported Gilad Pellaeon's ascension and the Galactic Union. With Grand Admiral Zend's return, Dathalon remains loyal to the new Empire and prepares to fight for the future peace of the galaxy...
