Summarized Biography:
Born on 13:1:15 ABY out of wedlock on Bastion to Jacen Tranada and Elisha Cain, Jacen James was named for his father and his mother's father respectively. His mother took off with Grand Admiral Zend when Jacen was four and left his ISB agent father to raise him alone with the assistance of his sister, Tiara.
When he was 18, Jacen enrolled in the military and was accepted as a reservist officer in military intelligence. After completing the mandatory four years, Jacen was upgraded to active status and stayed for a further two years before transferring to Imperial Intelligence at the age of 24. For the most part, his work has involved protection detail for the dignitaries and beaurecrats of the Empire but every so often Jacen is called upon to spearhead a counterintelligence or surveillance operation.

Uhh... there is no thirteenth month in SW. Nor is there a Europe, removing the excuse to reverse the canon dating format. 
Also, there are two factions that are "Imperial." One is led by Daara Zend, the other is headquartered on Bastion. Neither operates an independent Air Force. So, I'm not really sure which way you want to go.
