With the unification of the Imperial warlords at the hands of Admiral Daala in 12ABY, the galaxy was once again thrown into a brutal struggle for supremacy. War ravaged the majority of civilized worlds and Han Solo was thrust into the thick of it. Rising to the rank of General and commanding the New Republic's Fifth Fleet, Han traversed across the galaxy in pursuit of the renegade warlords in an attempt to snuff them out one by one. He was successful on several accounts, but even in victory, he was met with great sacrifices. His co-pilot and partner, Chewbacca, was an early casualty to the war and his death would have a profound impact on Han's life from here on out. In the end, he would rise above the ashes and become a stronger person, but the galaxy was no longer a safe place - the protective bubble surrounding those he loved was gone.

After years of fighting, the warlords were routed and with the disappearance of Grand Admiral Zend, the war was over. This fact was solidified through a peace treaty signed between the New Republic and the Empire in 20ABY.

Seeing that the galaxy now appeared to be in good hands, Han no longer felt the need to remain in active service and resigned his commission. Retiring to Coruscant with his wife, he founded his own shipping company, Solo Enterprises, which continues to flourish even today. With Han acting as CEO and his son, Anakin, as the vice president, SE has grown to become one of the leading charter, touring and shipping services available in New Republic space.
