Summarized Biography:

The droid known only as D3-LG-5854R-6895AH99 (Third degree, culinary services initial designator) began its existence on a Metalorn assembly line. From there, it was shipped to an on-planet Biscuit Baron.

It toiled in greasy servitude for decades, bouncing from fast-food shack to fast-food dive on planet after planet, until the liberation of Coruscant in 6 ABY. Rebel troops, using a CoCo district Biscuit Baron, came under fire by Imperial troops. As Stormtroopers broke in through the kitchen door, the world-weary droid—which had not been mind-wiped in decades—seized his moment of destiny, and doused the Imperial troops in sizzling hot fry oil... loaded with trans-isomer fats. The Rebels were able to break out and regroup with their division. DeepFry 9000 thought he was doomed to the scrapheap, but one of the Rebels remembered the bravery of a lowly frying droid, and sought out the bombed-out husk of a Biscuit Baron. She found the droid, rusting, rodent-infested, alone, and clinically depressed. The two formed a fast, if unconventional, friendship.

The soldier was posted to the Imperial Palace security detail, and overheard that the kitchen needed an extra frying droid, on the cheap. She was able to secure the spot for her friend, and from then on, D3-LG-5854R-6895AH99 (usually called by his model number of DeepFry 9000) had a position in the Imperial Palace kitchen.
