The Spirit of Order had seen battles like these, outnumbered, outgunned, but never had she been so cornered. Two MC-80, no doubt modified and upgraded with the latest of Republic weaponry, descended upon her. The Star Destroyer buckled, but the shielding they had brought from the Unknown Regions, kept her and her crew alive. She watched as the fleeing civilians were met with Imperial starfighters, an arena that her people had succeeded in keeping the upper hand, as they had managed to destroy one of the Republic fighter carriers before it managed to release all of its compliment.

"Commander, Cloud City has been destroyed."

The words were simple, but they had relayed so much. She felt her stomach squirm. It was not a victory, but they had not been defeated either. Bespin was worthless now. "Recall our fighters and buckle down the hatch, we're leaving." She could sense the relief from her crew. She held onto one of the railings as the ship exploded next to them, a large chunk connecting with their aft shield grid. The shields managed to repulse the debris, but it took all of its remaining energy. They were vulnerable.

"Get us out of here!!!" The Commander screamed, stepping down and over a fallen officer to get to one of the pilot's consoles. She shoved the man aside. "Reroute forward turbolasers and maneuvering to this console." As soon as she had it, she forced her ship into a new line, they needed to break away from the engagement, and to get to a point where they could jump, they were going to need to get through that MC-90.

"Order the fleet to Bilbringi!" Just as she did, it seemed her Captains were already waiting for the command, as vessels slipped away. One by one the True Empire was disappearing from the system. She glanced at the radar, it seemed they managed to pick up most of the fighters, the last were hyperspace worthy. And like worthy soldiers of the Empire, they flanked her position, engaging ships when necessary as they made the run, the run for their lives.

Shooting past a couple of dreadnoughts, Krauss maneuvered them through the thicket of the Republic armada, only to come out against the MC90. "HAIL THEM!" She watched as a large fish of a commander appeared on her screen, it flickered, no doubt due to the damaged sustained by her vessel.

"You'll never make it, Captain." The Calamari's voice had a strange Coruscanti influence. It was disturbing.

"It's Commander, actually." Krauss corrected, "And if you don't mind moving to the side, we'll be on our way."

"I'm afraid I can't do that. You are hereby placed under arrest for-"

She cut the comms. "Fine." She moved the Imperial Star Destroyer, it lurched forward with the full Republic fleet gathering behind her. She pushed her ship to the maximum tolerance, using what energy she had left and dumped it into the engines and shields. Lights and life support was placed on minimum and she could feel the air getting a little thinner. Weapons went offline, after all, they wouldn't need them. She left a single torpedo launcher active, because if she planned this correctly, she would leave her crew with a battle-memory full of glory.

Sending all the shield's energy to cover the bottom portion of her vessel, she nestled the ship just right in order to collide with the Mon Calamari's shields. The two energys smacked into each other and for a brief moment, the Calamari's shields faltered. She flicked the switch on the torpedo tube, sending the entire spread down on the cruiser. She could almost hear the impacts they had made against the rebels hull, the way the explosion vaporized the crew and the chain reaction it had caused.

She activated the comms, "This is Commander Krauss, Republic fleet, you have experienced the might and the will of the True Empire today. Until we meet again." The MC90 exploded through its internal reactions, expelling the hull and her internals into space. Krauss smiled, blowing the destroyed cruiser a kiss, before hitting the proper key that brought them into lightspeed.
