“Very well.” Dryas said with a nod of his head. There was really no need to press the issue. As far as he could tell, Lucas had basically told him everything there was to really know about the situation.

“I hope it all works out for you. Though if not, it certainly couldn’t hurt to find someone or other around here to talk to.”

And with that, he left Lucas to whatever it was he might have needed to attend to. He himself had other things, such as Denora. He could tell that the Jedi master was nearby, and it would probably be best if he were to find him. If nothing else, perhaps he could finally stop carrying the bag of Jedi artifacts and store it aboard the Fury for safekeeping.

“Denora.” He said as he approached the elder Jedi. “Glad to see you survived.”

Salis D'aar - City Center

Three shots rang out of her long-range tactical sniper, dropping three bodies in the process as H6 ripped apart one of the damaged Imperial battledroids. Alisson finally made her way to the position of the duel, and a few seconds later, Master Durron emerged, no doubt from meditation. "What happened to your arm?" He asked.

"Smashed." She said matter-of-factly, "I'll live. Who was that?"

"An old acquaintance..." He was cryptic, almost avoiding the nature of the question entirely, but she tossed that information aside. Lucas had asked her to wait in the city, but an update from Jonas changed the nature of their position. They finally had an objective, and now they had Kyp to help make that happen.

"Han Solo has been captured." Alisson delivered the news, it was obvious they didn't have time to play catch up, "And according to Jonas, so has Tseneca." She let that sit with the Jedi, not sure how he'd react with the news. She had observed the pair being close, even as he took her as an apprentice. "We have been assigned to meet part of the crew and obtain a troop transport. We're going to board the Imperial Star Destroyer and get them back, that is, if you're up for it."

She waited for a response, but the question was rhetorical, she cocked her blaster and started to move forward...

Lumiya felt relief flood over the old Corellian, no doubt the news Leia had escaped the spider war-droid had him reeling with joy and confidence, one that her abilities would shake and cripple, then soon, his mind would be hers and he'd be eating out of the palm of her hands. Lumiya resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the mention of his kids having grown up and being a handful...of course they were, they were Solos. But it was his last question that proved the most interesting, "Where'd you come from anyway?"

"Coruscant." Her answer was smooth and delivered almost immediately, "Though I was in the Rebellion. We've met before, in passing." She let that settle into his mind, the fact that she was present on an Imperial Star Destroyer about to deliver the most excruciating mental punishment possibly ever committed proved contrary to her statement. To him, she should be an ally, a friend of the distant past. Using the Force, she tightened the chains around his body, she was getting annoyed with him rattling them around. With a flick of the hand, she applied pressure to his throat, stopping the cool air from entering his body, a Force-choke that had served her old Master so well. "I like the Empire better, something about living in a forest on a remote moon... didn't sit well with me."

If he could, he'd most likely be reaching for his neck right about now, she could see the man begin to turn a darker color, "It was almost right after Vader's infiltration of the Rebel base on the ice world that I joined... He was quite obsessed in finding your friend...." She ignored the desperate sounds he was making, "I've spent a lot of time with Luke Skywalker. I trusted him." She was getting ahead of herself, but it was part of the plan. She needed him to think about Luke, it could trigger a message, and possibly, deliver him here personally.

For the last four decades she had been building and preparing herself, but now it was time, it was time to send Luke Skywalker and everything he built since the day he shot her down, into total ruin. She released Han, allowed him to pull in the air, and waited for his response. "I will kill your children and your family to get to him, Han. Do not doubt this. No one can stop me, not any more, and that is fact." Solo's pain would draw them out like insects to an open fire, only, she was ready for them. The Imperial fleet had supplied reinforcements, the surface had been secured, and shuttles were now on scheduled arrivals. Anything else, would be deemed a rescue operation.

But they planned for this, Commander Krauss had willingly allowed this to take place. Once they retrieve the broken Corellian, Lumiya will have set things in motion. The Jedi Order would whisper in secret of her return, they'd clamor to destroy her... but some...some would seek to join her. Skywalker will be forced to face her, and after all these years, she was never more ready. Han Solo, the pathetic man as he was, was nothing more than a pawn, like he had served Lord Vader on Bespin all those decades ago. And his children were stubborn, and likely to do the same. The death of one would be enough, but that was not her goal...not yet.

Here...Tseneca.

Coral felt her spirits be instantly lifted, but then they dropped, her stomach turned. They had Tseneca. Most of her fingers had been bandaged, though only crudely to stop the bleeding from the tips of her fingernails. The interrogation droid had removed most of her nails, and then applied some kind of needle to the exposed flesh, which vibrated against the nerves in a crude, but effective manner. Coral felt her eyes water, she had not cried once under the guard or by the a, but started at the sound of the trapped pregnant woman on the other side of the wall.

Coral used the Calamari code, pleased Tseneca was versed enough to understand it. Are you healthy? It was simple, they would stick to basic messages, at least for now.

The taps were quicker this time, Yes. Are You?

Coral thought about her answer and tapped back, Alive. She rested her head against the wall, near the place the sound vibrations of the tapping were coming from. For a moment she was close to a friend, where only an hour ago she was experiencing the worst pain in her life by the Empire. Then she released emotion, just letting the tears spill off her cheeks and onto the Imperial jumper. They had stripped off her clothes, and performed several invasive medical exams to insure she didn't have any kind of intelligence-oriented implants. She was clean, otherwise they would've extracted them through barbaric methods. She hated them.

Stay strong. We'll get out of this

Coral wiped her face, and tapped, The jumpers are ugly.

It took some time, but through a mixture of walking and mag-grip assisted hopping, Morgan made his way across the hull of the Star Destroyer, eventually finding his way to one of the ships Escape Pod sections.

”Hmm…whatta you think? Viable entrance?” Morgan asked ZIM.
”Yes.” the droid responded. ”But you should be asking whether it’s the best choice for an entrence.”
”Alright, so let’s ask that question – is it the best entrance point?”

”Potentially.” ZIM said, his answer less certain this time around. ”Your only other real entrance point is if you can find some kind of maintenance hatch or access, but that could take you anywhere, possibly winding you up in a location that would be as bad or worse as if you were to try to sneak in through the hangar bay.”

”So the downside then is…” Morgan asked, anticipating a definite downside. If there wasn’t, ZIM wouldn’t have held back about the idea.
”We’re going to attract their attention anyway.” ZIM said flatly.

”Ok, then what’s the upside?
”We can attract their attention without them suspecting why their attention is being attracted.” ZIM replied.

Morgan cocked his head to the side as he looked at the escape pod hatch and considered the scenario.

”Tell me more.”

Kyp smirked and brushed the dust from his robe. He knew there was more to Han and Tseneca's capture than he knew. This new enemy was smarter than the old Empire. That posed a particular problem when most of the Rebellion's men and women were aging.

"You do know we're going to walk into a shooting gallery?" Kyp said as he followed the rather determined android.

"That's the plan," Alisson replied as H6 joined the two of them.

"Statement. My optical sensors must be malfunctioning." Kyp was unsure whether the droid was damaged or just displaying damaged humor. "It is good to see you, Jedi Master Durron."

"You both look a little rough around the edges. But it's good to see you as well, H6."

Morgan watched as the escape pod flew past him out of its berth. If what he and ZIM had done was correct, he could now get inside through the inner door, and the Imperials would never realize someone had tampered with the system – it would all come across as some freak technology glitch. The truth would only come sometime much later after the ship was subject to a full maintenance check or whatever term it was Zend’s Empire went by. And since escape pod areas were generally not inhabited unless there was an emergency, it would give Morgan plenty of time to get in and get hidden before someone showed up to see him and realize things weren’t as they first appeared.

”And…OPEN SESAME!” Morgan though as he forced the inner hatch to open. He used his magnetic grips to keep from getting blown back by the leaking atmosphere, then pushed his way in and let the door close again.

”Now’s the part where they notice something is going on.” ZIM said. Even if they had every reason to suspect the whole escape pod thing was nothing more than an error, ZIM spoke the truth when he said that they’d take notice of it. After all, it was a rather significant error. They’d probably send someone down to investigate soon. Morgan would have to make himself scarce before then.

”I don’t suppose we have any Imperial Star Destroyer blueprints, do we?”
”Nope.”
”Great. So that just means I have to take my chances." Morgan said.

”Well, there’s always one reliable means of getting around secretly.” ZIM said.

”You don’t mean…” Morgan started to say, and stopped when guessed what ZIM was talking about.

”Again.”

He let his head sink for a moment as he realized that yes, it probably was the best option to start out.

”Frak.”

Air ducts. Why was it always air ducts? For some reason, it seemed to Morgan that despite his insistence on staying away from them, he continued to find situations where they were the only apparent solution to getting around from one place to another without any worry about being spotted.

Maybe that was the reason it was always air ducts – no one seemed to ever expect the air ducts.

”One of these days, I’m going to laugh myself silly when someone actually does expect the air ducts.” Morgan commented to himself. ”Whether or not I’m actually using them.”
”If you are, it’ll be in which case you’ll probably die soon after.” ZIM replied.
”Yeah, probably.” Morgan replied with a mental shrug.

The cyborg didn’t bother to try to keep track of how long he traveled through the internal duct work of the massive Imperial space ship. He concerned himself more with staying as quiet as he could, lest he attract unwanted attention, and taking paths that opened up to wider passageways or looked to take him deeper into the bowls of the ship where he would have an easier time getting to where he wanted to go once he knew where he wanted to go in the first place.

After some time, he spotted a light ahead of him that looked like it might have been a potential opening. Heading towards it, he was rather disappointed when he discovered that it was, in fact, one of the ships hangar bays. One of the last places he wanted to come out to. It would be easy for him to be spotted, and already there were a significant number of Imperial personnel on deck.

With a shallow but exasperated sigh, Morgan began to backtrack and try a different path.

Tseneca snorted, None-too-derisively. But aside from the sarcasm Coral was implying with her non-descrip messages, the moment of hesitation the other woman had given her meant undoubtedly that whatever good treatment tseneca had recieved had not been given to Coral. The woman was hurt, badly, if she wasn't mistaken. She wished there was something she could do about it, but the walls were too thick, and her adeptability with the force wasn't nearly good enough to pull the tricks Kyp had pulled on her... taking away the hurt when she was in pain, or the detriment
when she'd been dying.

Tseneca didn't like being this helpless, and since the two of them, she and coral, had become unlikely friends, it pained her to sit there while the other was in harms way. Krauss wouldnt kill her, but there was no stopping her from torturing Coral, especially because of who Coral was. There were reasons why Tseneca had separated herself from such factions. Not that it stopped her from gaining ground in the dead or alive market... staying with Lucas had taken care of that. No, with Coral being intel and that mouth on her to boot, it was likely that when and if they did get out from under Krauss and whomever else was in charge here, she'd be much worse for wear.

There was a shrill noise in the air, even as Krauss's voice boomed into the cell, cold and professional. "Prisoner 153-429942. Have you consented to submit?"

"Get bent." Tseneca said back. And the line was silent. What Krauss was asking of her was impossible. Thyferra, and she, would never comply with such demands. She'd worked to hard to get her home and its freedom back. She'd sacrificed... everything.

Shaking her head to clear it, she bent and tapped out something to Coral, meant to be encouraging, but less so due to the circumstances. Then she went to the durasteel slab that was supposed to be a bed and sat on it in such a way as she'd seen Lucas do time and time again. Cross-legged, she placed her palms together, trying to give herself some kind of conductivity for her need. She wasn't good at this, in fact, she didn't have nearly enough patience for it. Now was the time though, if there was any time at all. She needed Lucas, Sara, Kyp... all of them... to know she was alive. She needed to seek that solace somewhere.

She closed her eyes, allowing her mind to clear, and for once to feel at peace. It wasn't easy. She wasn't a peaceful person. But for once, without the pull of anything around her, she was able to achieve the kind of rest she'd never before been able to. She felt herself relax, she felt the strings of the force around that once black center of her, the ones that had been so protective of her once, loosen away like gossamer falling away from the pit of a stone fruit. They fell away and licked at the edges of her conscious, calming her and bringing her to something of a new height. That stasis in which Firi had brought her before, that need for the Force only to save her own life and that of her childs, was so far gone, nearly a lifetime ago, if not only a handful of months. The self ensconcement she lay within now was almost entirely different then that of the times before. Now, fully allowing it to, and struggling to trust in it, she allowed the force to fill her, blood, bone and skin. She could feel the silent rush of it in her ears, could feel her heart palpitate with it, and the tiniest thump of the other distinct heart that lay much lower than her own.

She summoned the power more and more, her fingers numb to where they were being held together. She pushed out with a few of the threads, bidding them to find the other Leaper Jedi, Lucas, Sara and Kyp. To let them know that she was here, with Coral. That they were alive, but in imminent danger. She felt the sparks of each one she was trying to reach, like islands in space, surrounded by their own auras of light. It wasn't difficult to make them out... Sara with her steadfastness glowed like a beacon far away, not entirely lost, but harder to make out in the fog. Kyp was... blue. A darker hue of reason and practicality. A strange warmth, stern but kind, trying to be inconspicuous in the way that he shielded himself from others struggling to do exactly what she was doing now... find him.

And then there was Lucas, bright, but... Her brow furrowed in concentration. The edges around the young man were hard and smoldering, like coals. She pushed farther to see the specter of him, willing him to turn and meet her essence, even as she pushed toward him. I'm here. She whispered in her mind. Lucas, I'm here. . She felt him flinch slightly, and the cloak of impersonality, the layer of white-hot smoldering darkness flushed closer to him, like a jacket. His visage drifted, and he turned slightly.

She gasped. His eyes were like black stones in his face, the sockets hollow and dark, his cheek bones concaved as if he were a waiting cadaver. Lucas... She whispered, but the specter turned away from her and dissipated, running from her it would seem, and then disappearing completely. No... she reached out for him as the ghost of him dispersed into dark ribbons, like soft smoke through her fingers. The urgency she felt didn't break, and her panic and, yes, anger, whipped her own cocoon into something of a frenzy. She felt winds plummet and shove her, all of a sudden stinging... no, burning against her skin. No! trapped once more in her unconscious mind, the burning winds heightened, scalding her and making her cry out. She was in over her head, struggling to breath against the onslaught. Was he doing this? Lucas? Surely... no something else... it didn't matter.

She took a breath and summoned the strings she had at her command, trying to sew them together into a wall, a shield, something, just as Kyp had shown her, and Firi had aided her to hone. She struggled to pull them together, even as the winds buffeted her and worked to push them apart. In her ears she heard the perpetual whistle and harsh cries of an animal she could not comprehend, the grating laughter of death as it penetrated her mind and made her want to gag in revulsion. She struck out, again and again, pushing the stark pain and the burning away. With one deep breath, she pushed...

The lightning hissed and edged out before she could even realize it was before her. It struck with silent crashing potency, cutting the dark wind through and whipping it back. It was... beautiful... in an eerie way. Dark and sizzling. It sliced again and again, noiseless and profound. She realized, somewhat belatedly, that it was in fact coming from her, and the shock made her heart beat faster. She struggled to keep calm, even as the power blushed through her, her muscles poised and tense. The strings pulled around her like a cloak, once more knitting together into an airtight cocoon. And she felt the coolness of the protection, the harsh winds retreating.

She felt a chill penetrate her, she felt her concentration break like glass, her real body, with its heaviness of flesh and blood, take over in a wash of misery and pain.

She'd been standing, the event of which caused her to now, finally, collapse to the floor of the cell. She blinked her eyes against the harsh light of the cell's interior, the solidity of durasteel beneath her body made her wince. She was in an extreme amount of pain, which, considering the circumstances, was not uncalled for. Lying still, she gazed upward at the luminescent fixtures above then turned her head, eyes fixed on her hands and fingers where, as if she was still embedded in her own personal hell, sparked and jumped with licks of electricity...

this is fairly inconclusive. The "evil wind" is somewhat of an opening for either alex or carn. it could be lumiya or Varr depending on what you guys wanted to do, your descision. :)

The Fury landed and Jase opened the main hatch, stepping out into the forest air of Bakura once more. "Sahana, stay with the ship and see to it that she is in top shape for our escape once I have planned it." Heading into the cave, there was a slight limp to his step as he fought back the after effects of the medications he had injected into himself. He could only muse at how much he shortened the decade he had been given by his physician every time he taxed himself to the breaking point, as Dryas approached him.

“Denora.” He said as he approached the elder Jedi. “Glad to see you survived.”

"There should be a 'Master' in there somewhere.", Jase said coldly and clutching at his chest lightly as another round of less severe palpitations came. "What has happened? The Imperials had the numbers and opportunity to hunt down every last one of us. Why did they retreat?"

“My apologies, Master Denora.” Dryas said, recognizing the error that the Jedi Master had pointed out and correcting it. “As far as I can tell, they were looking for specific targets, trying to capture them.”

He hesitated to continue. He could tell there was something wrong with Denora, and didn't want to leave the issue to linger in case it posed a potential larger problem later on.

”But as to why they retreated after they succeeded, I don’t have the slightest idea.” He decided to try to continue before bringing up the other topic. “Are you alright? Something seems wrong about you.”

Jase sighed, realizing the time was coming to begin informing those in his circle of his condition. Though he couldn't tell Sahana, not yet. The shock would certainly be too much for her. Taking a deep sigh and calming himself, Jase met the bothan's gaze, with cold grey eyes that seemed as if they could take your very soul if they wished.

"What I am about to tell you is not to be shared with anyone. I will discuss it with others in my own time. I am dying, Dryas. I have a decade left at best. It seems even a heart such as mine is vulnerable, for I have an incurable condition which will cause it to fail in that time. I have medications for the pains and palpitations, but when I exert my abilities to their breaking point, I feel I shorten my life span even further. This is why I wish you to learn the secrets of Precision Control. I must not join the Force without passing my secrets. Though.... their may be another likely heir if I cannot convince you.... Yet, I doubt she will wish to speak to me..."

“That should not be something you have to worry about.” Dryas said to Denora. “As after much consideration, I have decided to accept your offer, Master Denora.”

He finished the phrase with a bow of respect.

“However, if I could make one request. If, when the time comes, I would be allowed to let Master Homm know of this myself. In person, if possible. After all he’s done for me, I owe him that much at least.”

It had been a short journey to Bakura, before he was swallowed by the orbiting fleet of the True Empire. It didn't take five years at the Imperial Academy to figure out that he was to become a political prisoner, but it was the woman he was celled with that began to worry him. At least with the Empire, they'd keep him in relatively good shape, all bargaining chips were. She was a 'Force-sensitive' as they preferred to called. The brilliant blue and white sparks was an awesome ability, one that Damian had experimented with briefly, before Bella warned him how addictive it could become. Power, she had argued, was not to be toyed with.

Kris had thought he interrupted what looked like a trance, a deep form of meditation that probably had her crawling all over the galaxy in a ghost-like Zen. He didn't understand, and half the time, he didn't want to. Still, he was jealous of his older siblings and the abilities they had. "Hello," He broke the strange silence and stepped into the light so she could see him better. Why the Empire had selected a female for his cell companion, he didn't know. Kris waited for her response while leaning against one of the walls, she was no doubt taking the time to collect herself from the experience because from the looks of it, she was startled by the human-made-electricity displayed moments ago.

"Hey," her calm response, turning away for a moment, "Didn't think I'd have a bunk mate."

Kris smiled, "At least you're not a Gamorrean named Bubba."

It seemed to get a small rise out of her, enough to break the ice. She turned to some of the more obvious questions they ought to talk about. "How'd you end up here?"

Kris thought about that for a moment, "I received an emergency transmission and figured I could help.... except, now I'm here. Not exactly five-stars, but the company could be worse." He winked. "What about you?" He yawned, and added quickly, "My name is Kris, by the way."

They had walked for 4.3 miles before they had come across a speeder that would allow them to travel relatively under the radar. "This will do." Alisson was running over the engine and several of the gadgets on board, deciding that it was probably used for blackmarket trade considering all the jammers on board. "We should play safe and wait for the sun to fall." H6 walked over to a vending machine and a few seconds later, his hand smashed into the box and retrieved some of the food inside.

"Inquiry: Are you hungry Master Durron?" He extended his hand allowing the Jedi Master to retrieve what seemed edible, H6 tossed the rest on the ground. The remainder of the evening was spent in silence, allowing the Jedi to concentrate, while Alisson ran a few diagnostic programs. Her arm had been severely crushed and would need to be replaced, though it was the uselessness that bothered her the most.

As the sun's last light disappeared, they boarded the dark speeder. Alisson took one last worried glance at her transmitter, hoping Lucas was all right.

Tseneca sat up pulling herself bodily onto the lower metal bunk. The boy who now shared her cell, a presence she's not noticed until she'd looked away from the sparks dancing along her splayed fingers, had given her space to compose herself, and was leaning against the far wall of the chamber.

Their exchange was... congenial, even as her breathing slowed and her pulse stopped coming like an animal in a cage. She had no idea when he had been brought to her cell, only enough to realize it must have been some time during her trance and at the tail end of her spastic lightning spectacle. Either way, he wasn't mentioning it, as if he'd only caught her at doing something as benign as cleaning her nose.

"My name is Kris, by the way."

She looked him over. He couldn't have been more that sixteen or seventeen. She wondered at that...

"Tseneca." She said and held out a hand. He looked at it warily and she retracted it. "I don't... um.. its not usually..."

He shrugged and remained where he was. "You don't have to explain."

"How much did you see?" Her voice was raw, he guard down. She was speaking to this boy like she had once spoken to Lucas, with her guard down and her own internal power dialed down. The boy, however young, probably saw her as weak, or infirmed.

"not much. You were on the floor when they shoved me in. I thought it best not to touch you, all things considered."

She swallowed. "Wise decision." She thought for a moment. "You said you recieved an emergency transmission?" I could of been from anyone, she hoped it wasn't from the Leaper. The quieter her crew was, the better.

He looked at her wryly, his expression fixed. "I don't know if you know this, but the entire planet is under siege. Emergency transmissions are not uncommon."

She felt herself relax. "Oh. Right." She said stupidly. "Well, welcome to the other side." She said, struggling to regain some of the snide self satisfaction she'd had before this whole ordeal. "I'd offer you refreshments but..." She waved her hand, gesturing to the tiny cell.

The hot feeling of lust drained from her body. It had been a very long time since she had been with a man, and while Emmett Fink proved an interesting distraction, she hadn't noticed Sethe's dangerous charm. She liked the idea of the man battling for control, something about it, stirred her insides. She walked away from the friend of Fink, leaving him stunned at their little exchange, but more importantly, she knew how much he meant to Tseneca. Perhaps that sweetened the forbidden fruit. She noticed Rylii setting one of his broken fingers, a wound she was curious about.

"How did that happen?" She probed his face for any kind of tell or giveaway answer, giving slight indication that Sethe could be right, though kept that hidden from her face and tone.

"Some bitch of an Imperial. Nasty thing." He smiled, "I handled it though."

It was like he was hiding something with his answer, and she toyed with the idea of exploring this explanation, as vague as it was an innuendo to what really happened. She ignored the impulse, and nodded, "Hope it heals quickly, was it your blaster hand?"

"Yeah, but I'm okay with my right hand." He suggested, finishing the short bandages after placing a stable cast around his hand. Nico cruised the hallway, coming out of the Blight Leaper, only to take a look inside. On Iego, she had tried to shoot this vessel down, and here, on a blockaded world, she was attempting to save it. She scoffed and exited the ship entirely, it was best she put some distance between her and Sethe, though she would enjoy the pained look on Tseneca's face, should anything happen.

It was a different place, both out there and in her mind. Things were not the same, and enemies had turned to allies in these dark times. Nico removed the blaster from her side, still... she wouldn't hesitate to put them down if they got in her way.

Jase gave Dryas the return bow that Jedi etiquette dictated and nodded. "Very well, Master Homm shall be granted the respect he deserves. He has proven that much to me by putting you into this position. Granted, we must survive this invasion and escape Bakura. Once we are safely on Bogden, you will be allowed to speak with him."

"However, as my newest apprentice, a padawan simply won't do to learn such advanced techniques. Also, should we die here, it shall be at the level you have proven yourself capable of to me. Kneel, young Dryas...", the elder Jedi said, taking his purple saber out and igniting it.

He brought the blade down, scant millimeters from the fur on the right side of Dryas's face. "The heat of this blade symbolizes the fire in your own mind. You have gone through hell to learn combat at the hands of the harshest Master in the Order. May you never forget that drive, especially when faced with the most difficult problems in the galaxy. I, Master Jase Denora, on behalf of the Jedi Council hereby appoint you to the rank of Jedi Knight." He disengaged the blade and sighed softly, looking down at the bothan with just the slightest hint of pride.

"Arise, Jedi Knight Dryas Quy'teff."

H6 kept watch over the area, using the DL-22 blaster Master had given him when he was purchased long ago. Possibly three months earlier, he had been damaged so often in service to Master and his companions he wasn’t sure of how much time had passed since his purchase. The sun had set a while ago, but he had advised they remain in cover until he had plotted out the paths of the patrols so they could slip between them. Alisson had accepted the idea, using the opportunity to keep her HRD functions a closely guarded secret.

His programmed preference for the matter met, he motioned the Jedi Durron and Alisson to their speeder, which was hidden with some cleverly placed rubble. H6 easily removed a duracrete pillar from the hood of the speeder and leapt into the driver’s side, homing in on the encrypted signal of The Leaper, the last known location that is. SAMM must have deactivated it to hide the ship. Once everyone was in the speeder, he proceeded along the predetermined path he made.

Ducts. Vents. There were longer stretches of impromptu tunnel than Morgan cared to think about. And he crawled through them for a time he tried not to think about, despite ZIM’s best efforts.

And to make things worse, he was getting hungry.

”Dang it.” He whispered to himself, trying to minimize the chances his voice would echo out and be heard by someone. ”It’s been far too long since I’ve had anything to eat.”
”Muah ha ha. Puny fleshling.” ZIM taunted Morgan.
”Shove it.” Morgan replied.

The cyborg continued to climb through the Star Destroyers innards, his vision flipping through his various options at regular intervals to check for anything that might lead him in the right direction.

”I gotta find a terminal. Somewhere I can get a map.” He said, stating the obvious. ”I really should have thought this part of the plan through better.”
”Yes. Yes you should have.”
”Oh, shut up.”

********

After some time, Morgan found himself again at a potential exit. This time, however, it looked much more promising. The other side looked to be a smaller room, and empty as well. Likely some kind of storage space, due to the crates that were contained within. Quietly, Morgan pushed the grate open and let himself into the room.

Eyes closed with the sheet pulled up close to her neck, with her chest gently rising and falling, Azlyn was peaceful and relaxed. Relaxed, that was, until the loud knocking at her door woke her from her dreamless slumber, “that's... odd.” She shifted the sheet off of her body and swung her legs over the edge of the bed as the knocking intensifies in both speed and volume, “alright, alright!”

Reaching the door and entering her three digit access code, 3-9-1, into the panel next to it, Azlyn crossed her arms over her chest as the door swished open, “what is...” she was pushed inside by the being at the door, he slapped the panel as he moved into the room and the door swooshed closed behind him.

“We don't have much time,” the man said, lowering the cowl from his head, “they're coming.” The Trandoshan turned, finally, to face Azlyn and grimaced, “and for frek's sake, put some clothes on. True Imperial forces will be here soon, they're rounding up people that seem like a threat.”

Glancing down at herself in her long baggy tunic that she used for sleepwear Azlyn shrugged, “and?” She shook her head and moved towards the bed before kneeling and retrieving a case from underneath, “I don't think the True Empire would consider me a threat, what with their fleets and their armies and all.” She opened the case and pulled out some clothing and raised an eyebrow towards her comrade, “Krask, turn.”

Once Krask's back was turned Azlyn quickly got herself dressed, though she could've sworn that he was peeking every now and again. She wore black pants tucked into knee-height reinforced combat boots, a leather vest over her torso and elbow-length fingerless combat gloves. “You can turn around now,” Azlyn murmered as she rifed through her bag, retrieving her gunbelt. Wrapping it around her waist and securing it she pulled a small bag from her case and, from within it, drew out two SSK-7 heavy blaster pistols and dropped them into the holsters at her hips, “alright. When do we...”

Through the window the two could see that several shuttles bearing Imperial markings were coming in to land right outside the hotel, “time to leave, I think.” She glanced towards the door and frowns slightly, “not that way...” Krask licked his teeth gently and opened the door to the balcony, he reached into his pack and pulled out a grappling spike launcher. He aimed it at the roof of the balcony and fired it, the grappling spike embedded in the ceiling and the liquid cable solidified quickly as he tossed the launcher over the edge to the ground below, “c'mon.”

Sliding easily down the cable the two bounty hunters rocketed towards the speeder parking lot across the street from the hotel, “get yourself clear Azlyn. Head outside the city, see if you can't get yourself off of Bakura before shit really goes down.”

Azlyn rolled her eyes slightly and sighed as she lifted her leg over her Nightfalcon speeder bike, “I'll try. Bound to be a few Imperial patrols though...” She paused for a moment, watching the stormtroopers enter the hotel, “where are you going to go?”

Krask chuckled slightly, a hissing noise more akin to a snake than an actual chuckle, “don't worry about me, Azlyn. Get clear.” He opened the door of his speedervan and jumped inside. The dual whine of their repulsor engines roared as they took to the skies, heading away from the scene...

Sara walked back to the Khan with her lightsaber fully reassembled. Everyone was in their little space, no one was really talking after what happened a few hours earlier. The attack that took Han Solo and Tseneca from them. Their minds were so concentrated on escaping, and the problem with Kuat that they had suppressed losing their captain. The people at the camp were trying to collect themselves, as with Sara herself. She moved off on her own, some dim blaster fire heard far off in the distance. Not handheld blaster weapons, big weaponry over in the direction of Salis D’aar. This planet was controlled by The Empire now, she had witnessed that herself when the bombardment started, and during the attack that nearly killed them all.

Lucas had burns on him, she could see it through the holes in his clothing. He wasn’t talking on them, so there wasn’t much point in discussing it until he felt up to it. But that presence that had been…stalking her, was very near during the assault, she wondered if Lucas’ burns and the presence had a connection.

Her mind went elsewhere, she leaned against a tree to collect herself.

Sara.

She spun her head around at the familiar voice.
“Tseneca?”

No one was there. What the hell? A thought hit her, could Tseneca be alive? She ran back towards the Khan and saw Lucas. He looked up at her. “You felt it too?”
“Yeah, Tseneca she’s-”

Sethe left the med bay, upset and more than a little disturbed, and retreated to Tseneca's captain's quarters and slammed the door shut behind him. What he found there gave him pause. The place was still trashed from when they had left it before the invasion, when he had attacked her. He stood, back to the floor surveying the damage. The chair she'd hit him with was tossed to the side carelessly. Sheets and bedding littered the floor where they had scuffled, not to mention broken glass from the mirror he had crushed and smatterings of dried blood from both himself, and, he shuddered, her.

The situation struck him as somewhat ironic, in a cruel way. He slowly made his way through the room and began to pick up, righting the chair and bundling the bedding and other accoutrement that littered the floor. It pained him though, and before he could even begin to put everything to rights, he broke down and sat heavily in the chair.

He felt his muscles squeeze into some sort of strange torpor, not, he knew, because of the sedative but he was legitimately and ultimately strung out. Grief, regret, guilt... all of it washed over him in one fell swoop, and he felt his shoulders sag as he looked around the wreck of a room.

Who was he kidding... he didn't belong here. He cursed Emmett for willing him to look after Tseneca, but then immediately the intent to godsmack was turned bitterly into a horrible sense of betrayal; for letting his best friend die and then loving his woman. And then the bitter strange rivalry that followed that could only be described as psychotic. How many times had he felt as though he'd cheated on his feelings for Tseneca? and the again, how often had they attacked each other both physically and mentally? This thing, the thought looking about the room, that had been the undoing. It hadn't been his fault...

He shook himself, trying to free his spirit from the demented back and forth he was having, but it settled like a wet blanket. She was gone, in all likeliness, she was dead, and the last things they had said to each other were far from comforting. She called him dangerous. And he was. This thing inside him couldn't be tamped, he was continually having to use more and more sedative, at greater intervals...

He stood and started feverishly trying to sort through the mess, not knowing now what to do with his body, not wanting to languish. So what were they doing now, this motley ships crew while the others were missing? Nothing. They were sitting here like a herd of bantha, waiting for.. what?

He felt his adrenaline start to peak a little, even under the drugs. Rylii Kuat was a no good traitor, and if Lucas couldn't see that for whatever reason, then it fell on Sethe to make sure none of the others, including himself were put in more danger. He had no doubt in his mind that it was Ryles who had tried to kill Tseneca back on Bespin, and then had handed her over to the Imps. He was vindictive and coniving, and it took one to know one.

He crouched and rifled through the scattered pile of console debris that had fallen, covered by Tseneneca's jacket. He lifted the clothing by its collar and, surprised, felt a small weight in its front pocket. He reached in, curiosity overcoming valor, and felt his fingers brush against cold metal. He pulled out the thing, strung on a chain. Dog tags, and a data disc.

He looked at them carefully, running his thumb over the inscription on their surface. Both were Emmett's. He felt his heart clamp down, and his mouth went a little dry. He hadn't known she still carried these. But why were they here and not on her person?

He took the disc and worked his way over to the small console in the corner, hesitating slightly before inserting it.

I'm not sure...

He pressed his thumb to the comm, shutting it off. If SAMM really wanted to stop him, he wouldn't allow the vid to play. As it was, the computer didn't make any move to do such a thing.

The image projected was of Tseneca, in a sun hat and dress, sunlight and greenery flooding the shot. She was very, very young, most likely sixteen, her blue eyes shining in the daylight. Her dark hair was long and fell over her shoulders. She was turning and laughing at the recorder, pressing her hand to the hats brim, as if trying to shield herself from its view. There was no sound, but her could read her lips, playfully imploring the cameraman to shut it off. There was a jerk as she grabbed the thing from him and turned it around, displaying... Emmett, also young, and happier than Sethe had ever seen him. The Emmett Fink in this video lacked the dark circles of early aging, the gray hairs that clouded his looks. he was clean shaven and handsome in a way that choices and hardship and... killing, hadn't robbed from him yet. The visage of the young man that Sethe hadn't yet met folded his arms over his military grade suit jacket and grinned wryly at Tseneca, trying to grab the recorder back.

If he'd been wise, Sethe would have turned the vid off sooner. But he was entranced by the scene before him, like a child discovering something hidden from him by his parents, something precious and coveted. And so, the vid played on, displaying the carefree teenagers his friends were once, in a time before their lives were torn apart. Before they were torn apart. He watched as Emmett pulled Tseneca in by her other wrist even while she was still filming. He watched as his arm circled her waist and pulled her into a deep and abiding kiss, slow and loving. Endless. Then, unceremoniously, the vid sputtered and died.

His heart shuddered in a sadness that he wasn't sure he could still summon. It broke for them, the couple in that vid, who loved each other so unabashedly, so deeply. His heart broke for Tseneca who had lost everything. And it broke for himself, he who had nothing to gain.

Morgan found a terminal easily enough. It was located near the door, probably as a means of helping to keep inventory in the storage area or check what might be needed where. He went over to access the terminal and get the information he needed, but as he got there, the door opened from the outside.

”Sith!” Morgan thought. Thinking quickly, he pushed himself into the air, used his magnetic grips to help flip himself upside down, and then latched onto the ceiling.

Initially, it looked to Morgan as though his ploy would work. The man who entered the room showed no signs he had heard or seen any sign of Morgan. The cyborg allowed himself a sigh of relief as the imperial went about his business, and kept his grip strong as he waited for the man to leave. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as he hoped.

To his disappointment, Morgan saw the man look towards the air vent grate, which Morgan hadn’t bothered to close when he entered the room.

”Sith.” Morgan said, still holding out hope that the man might not see Morgan and leave, giving the cyborg an opportunity to get out of the room before someone else came to check the man’s claim.

”Don’t look up, don’t look up, don’t look up.”

The man looked around the room, and just as Morgan hoped he wouldn’t, it didn’t take him long to look up.

”Great job, Morgan. You jinxed it.”

The man reached down to his belt, possibly for a weapon or a communicator, neither of which Morgan wanted to give him an opportunity to retrieve. And while the door had close, he refrained from just shooting him either, in fear of making things even louder and potentially alerting someone else to his location.

The solution was easy once Morgan remembered that he was hiding directly above the imperial. Releasing his grip, he dropped on top of the man, bringing them both to the ground in a heap.

“Uagh!”
”Guh!”

Picking himself half-way up, Morgan punched the imperial in the neck with his arm, cutting off his ability to call for help. Gathering his footing, he then helped the man to start to get to his own feet, only to then grab the mans head and crank it to the side with a swift motion, cracking his neck and killing him instantly.

”That was easily enough.” Morgan said to himself.

Locking the door, he quickly plugged into the terminal to let ZIM do his thing.

”Ok, ZIM, what can you get me?”
”Not much.” ZIM replied. ”At least, not if you want me out of here anytime in the near future. There is an insane level of encryption and security, beyond what I’m normally forced to deal with, and it’s not a code I’m familiar with. Probably because these guys have had a few decades to branch out in new directions.”

That was not the answer Morgan was looking for, though he couldn’t say he was all that surprised.

”Fine.” Morgan said. ”Can you get me a map?”
”Yeah. That’s easy. There’s no security there. They might as well ask me to take that tidbit of information.”
”Good. That’s a start.” Morgan replied as ZIM downloaded the information. ”You think you’ve looked at their codes and security enough that you’d be able to figure it out with enough time?”
”No idea.” ZIM replied.
”Guess we’ll just have to find out.” Morgan said, and disconnected from the terminal.

”Even if I do, it’s going to take me a lot of time.”
”We’ve got more than plenty of that.” Morgan replied. ”Especially given our means of transportation.”

Morgan prepared to leave and headed over to the air duct.

”Body?” ZIM asked, reminding Morgan of the evidence he was leaving behind.

The cyborg turned around and swore under his breath at the realization of what he had just about done. Thinking for a moment, he started by taking the mans commlink. If nothing else, he hoped he might be able to use it to spy on the ships crewmembers by listening in on any conversations that might be taking place. He then lifted the body, carried it over to the edge of the room, and slowly stuffed it into the ventilation system. Satisfied, he unlocked the door, grabbed the grate, and climbed into the vent after the body, slowly pushing it further in to clear the way. Once he had climbed in all the way, he pulled the grate back over his former entrance, leaving no sign he had ever been in the room aside from a missing Imperial crewmember.

Hopefully, he was someone no one would notice was missing for a while.

Kris chuckled a little. Making light of a bad situation, it seemed, was the best way to go here. Tseneca was starting to feel a little less disturbed by the vision she'd had, but the fact remained that she had no idea where that "wind" in her trance had come from, and how Lucas was being affected. the sight of his grotesque appearance made her feel slightly sick, and she knew that Ryles was down there, somewhere, with Lucas and that he and the others were in danger.

"So what are you in for?" The boy asked, taking a seat on the bunk opposite her.

"Politics... and possibly aiding and abetting." She let this remark hang. Could Krauss really be holding her for knowledge of Emmett, even after she told the woman he was dead? No doubt by now the commander new the child she was carrying was in fact, her ex-affiliate's. But somehow she found it hard to believe that the surrender of Thyferra was Krauss's singular motivation.

Kris looked dully impressed. "A fine line, that."

"You are awfully young to be held captive by the likes of these imperials." Tseneca remarked. "Does your mother know you're here?"
