I was in bed (4th grade) and my dad came up and woke me up with my brothers and sisters. We got downstairs just as the first tower fell...

I was getting dressed for school (I was in 4th grade) when my mom came in and all but carried me into the living room. I got there just in time to see the second one fall.

I was in sixth grade and I didn't know about it till I got home from school. I turned on CNN and saw all the footage.

I feel old. :P

I was in the seventh grade! And my dad woke me up around 6:50am. Watched the second tower go down live.

What was really messed up was that they showed bodies falling. I think that stuck with me the most.

Didn't go to school that day.

I was 10 when it happened and home for the day when my grandmother called to tell my mom what was going on. She turned on the TV right when the second tower was about to fall. My dad was working not far from the Pentagon at the time when the plane hit there and he saw it happen, which is crazy to think about when you're that young.

Third period Spanish class, eighth grade. Mrs. Allen, our history teacher, came into the room and called our Spanish teacher, into the hall. The conversation was short and hushed, and when our Spanish teacher returned, we asked what happened. She replied someone had crashed a plane into the Twin Towers. Later, in history, we were watching the live coverage... thirteen-year old kids watching a man jump from the burning tower, on the news. Then we saw the towers fall.

We didn't know what was going on (no one did at the time)... and there was much discussion around the cafeteria about what we had witnessed. Some wondered if we would be attacked... I said something to the effect of they'd have to find us, first.

Asleep, grandfather called from work to say about the first tower. Watched the rest live.

I was on my way to third period US history class in 11th grade. I remember there being rumors in the hallway, but thought nothing of them until I stepped into the classroom and saw the towers burning on the TV. We spent the rest of the day at school watching it live.

When it initially happened? At home, getting ready for school. I was late because my mom was watching, aghast, and it took her some time to get away from it and drive me to school. Once I got there, I didn't really hear very much more, though I remember my band teacher came into my first period theater class and told my theater teacher about it. I was in..... crap...... was it seventh grade? Might have been. if not it was eighth. Too tired to do the actual math now. :p

I of course got the details from the news that night and, well, over the next few months really. It's all that was really on. :p

*bump* I was at school. When my mom picked me up she said something about it, but it still didn't seem like it was a big deal. For some reason it didn't sink in until after they stopped talking about it... I guess I was too young to get it.

On a related note, on the 10th a guy from school was telling me tommorow would be "national LOL day". He had me going for a while until I realized what he was talking about and decided to bring up Building 7 >_>.

Don't feel old. I was at school (in the 6th or 7th grade a believe) watching it on the news for the majority of the morning as they updated us on what happened.
