Introduction
Code of Conduct
This document composes the rules that you are required to follow to participate on our board. This is to tell you what you may not post or do; if you are interested in what you can do within the game itself, you should read the RPG Rules Document. This is strictly for forum behavior, in and out of the RPG.

We reserve the right to prevent you from entering this forum based on our sole discretion. We may, at any time or for no reason, delete your account, your posts, warn you as punishment, ban you or otherwise punish you. Furthermore, the forum is not a democracy. The administration's word is law, and although we are very happy to hear any concerns or complaints you may have, there must be a line drawn somewhere.

With that said, our rules are what guide our disciplinary actions, and they are listed below. If you do not agree to follow these rules, please leave or contact the Central Management Admin Council.

Security
Security
Any attempted breaches of forum security are strictly prohibited, This includes, but is not limited to;
  • Altering the forum configuration.
  • Seeking access to unauthorized areas.
  • Accessing another user's account without prior consent.
  • Knowingly posting infected or malicious files.

If you are found attempting to bypass our security measures, you will be immediately banned, permanently, with no possibility of re-entry. If you suspect your account was hacked, contact the CMAC. This security issue must spread to your end as well - you may not give account information to anyone else without the CMAC's prior consent. You are responsible for knowingly giving information to anyone about anything, and that applies to this code.

Forum Behavior
Harassment
Haggling or harassing users constantly is not tolerated by our staff. There is a thin line between harassment and joking, so the best thing is not to do it at all. Harassment is alternatively known as "flaming."

Insulting users, whether it be just out of anger, or due to prejuidices based on belief or physical form, are some examples of violations of this rule.

Harassment can also include discrimination that is not directed at a particular user. Discrimination is defined as implicit or explicit hate messages and harassment towards people holding a particular belief. However, discrimination is not one person's opinion/moral belief of acceptable social, political, etc. opinions. Just that someone disagrees with someone else is not grounds for a discrimination charge. It is only when our moderators judge the case is hateful, whether it be subtle or outright, that it will usually be acted upon. For example, something like "I believe bunnies are full of lies and falsehoods" may be acceptable, but something like "Everyone who owns a bunny is a stupid, retarded fool and they should all be bludgeoned with teddy bears" may not be. This is not just limited to such superliminal statements, however.

Spamming
Spamming is defined as continually posting useless topics or replies to topics with little or no content in a short amount of time. Some exceptions to this rule include areas that incite massive posting, such as "Word Associations" or story threads.

Baiting
While exactly the same as harassment, baiting or trolling a user is also prohibited. This rule is violated by inciting a fellow user to an argument (a "flame war") with you or other people in general. This is still a form of harassment, no matter how you look at it.

Advertising, usually, is not tolerated. If you post a thread with the sole intention of advertising your or another's website, it will be closed. If you "spam" advertisements, they will also be accordingly edited. If you repeat this offense multiple times, you could be banned or warned. Exceptions to this rule, however, are if the site is a relevent source of information to the topic in discussion, or if you have consulted with the CMAC before posting the thread. Also, you may put links to appropriate websites in your signature. You are responsible for what you post as a link, and if its content is questionable, the link may be removed and you may be punished.

If it appears that you came to our forums just to advertise, you will be banned. If you would like a mutual advertisement with us, please contact the CMAC.

Profanity
Our forums employ a swear filter. This means that usually, serious swear words will be changed or filtered out altogether. However, the filter is not comprehensive, and can be breached. You may not attempt to bypass filter restrictions in place (by, for example, suffixing letters with a hypen or underscore).

Representation
If you visit other websites and you involve our website or forums in your activities there, we are absolutely, positively not responsible for what you do there. If you attempt to break their own rules on behalf of this website, we claim absolutely no responsibility for your actions, and you may be punished on these forums.

Content
Illegal Content or Admission to Illegal Materials
We do not condone that which is illegal by the federal law of the United States. This includes pirated games, illegal music or physically illegal materials. If you admit to possession of these materials, we will be required to ban your account. You may not encourage or admit to illegal acts.

Pornography/Shock Images/Questionable Content
We will remove any links to any pornographic site or image, as well as any other kinds of offensive imagery. What is defined as offensive is left to our staff; if you would like to check what is acceptable and what is not, please contact a staff member before posting.

Text also applies. We will edit any text that we deem to be unnecessarily laden with sexual references or otherwise offensive content.

Signatures and Avatars
Images contained in your signature must not amount to more than 100 kilobytes and must not exceed 250 pixels height in total. This means the sum of all images must be less than this. All images must be less than 500 pixels width. In total, your signature may not exceed 6 lines of text; a good rule of thumb is that it shouldn't be larger than your average post. Your signature, text and images, may not violate any part of this document. This will be loosely enforced unless there is trouble; do not abuse this ability or it will be restricted. We realize this may be hard to understand or overly complicated, but in our minds, it is the best compromise of functionality and efficency. Still, this rule may be modified to fit the needs of the community.

Avatars are small images associated with your account. Its width can be no greater than 150 pixels, the height no greater than 220 pixels, and the file size no more than 50 KB. It must also abide by these rules.

Your activity throughout the forums may be traced if you are suspected of cheating in the RPG, and once again, it will not be shared with anyone else.

In turn, we ask you to respect other users' privacy. Do not post any personal information of someone else without their prior consent. Furthermore, this forum may not be used to harvest email addresses for things such as spam, chain letters or advertisement.
